Salvia
Been thinking about whether or not to say this but I've decided I should. Now @Greater Serbiaย know you are just trying to get back into the RP and I am very happy about, but what motives do you have to justify being in Ceris?ย As far as I can see, there are no economic or cultural reasons, and, to be completely honest, no economic reasons either.ย Western Ceris is literally a sh*thole economically, how do you expect your people to be able to support them while your country does whatever you do?ย ย Judging just from your new thread with Tag and V and whoever else, it seems like either your government is either unstable or being overthrown altogether and so I doubt you have the political powerย within your own nationย to pull this off.ย If your goal really was just "manipulation" and you don't want to annex a territory then you need to explain 3 things: 1) Why would you waste your resources on Ceris, 2) what will you do there (saying "manipulation" could mean anything from establishing a small sphere of influence to Leopold II in Congo exploitation- you need to define this) and 3) depending on what you are doing, the Eurth community might react- something I doubt you want more of.ย I am not trying to stifle your activity, but Eurth RP is realistic RP- I would be happy to swallow my words if you can work out a reasonable motive for your actions in Ceris.ย Or if the mods/Seylos don't care if you get involved and I'm the only one that does, then I'd suggest ignoring this.ย ย I don't mean to single you out or target you, and I by no means wish to see you become inactive in terms of roleplaying with the Eurth community (although painfully slow, I find writing with other people adds some spice to it), however I find it very unrealistic that your people or government, if in real life, would actually get involved in Ceris.ย However, that is a decision for you, Seylos, and the mods to decide- and they deem it O.K., then it is okay for me.ย This was just a few of my thoughts about the whole situation; this extends beyond just GS and I think anyone who is already in/will be/is thinking about joining this thread should think about this in RL terms: would my people accept this? or would there be protests?ย Could I economically, politically, and socially support this territory I am annexing, and if I'm not annexing anything, would it really be worth investing money in this region? ย Just my two cents. 3 Link to comment

I understand, I can explain. 1. Seeing as that Serbia already has a developed military - I'd thought that it'd be nice to have a reserve of cheaper troops in an easily manipulable country. As for resources, the arms being provided aren't brand-new, but are numerous and will ensure easy logistical access. (Greater Serbia mirrors Serbia in the real world as a highly armed nation). 2. The exploitation is for military pursuits, at least mostly. Any other control over other parts of Dopraystein will be to further make the military run more efficiently, such as tackling corruption. One thing the Serbian military lacks in Eurth is reach - the ambition is to move some troops from Beograd to a base somewhere hidden. 3. I understand that, I thought about that too, but seeing as this will be a Sino-German type of deal, where the military is heavily influenced by a strongย benefactor, I hope it'll stay relatively clandestine. The personnel in Dopraystein shouldn't number more than 500 for the start-up stages, and I hope to move regular troops after the summit in Variota after all is negotiated on the Bosniak issue. 2 Link to comment

Prymont
As briefly discussed yesterday on Discord, I think I'd let to get involved in this RP. Thanks to the help of @Seylosย I've set my sights on Estaria. Prymont will be searching to increase its social and political standing in the wurld by increasing foreign & humanitarian aid efforts. Estaria is described as a massively overpopulated country suffering from famine and political unrest. Prymont will form a coalition with the Prymontian Rus to step in and assist - Prymont will be the majority funder in the operation by providing financial support and will participate in propaganda campaigns and politicking in Estaria to persuade the populace to side with them, while also providing military support to fight off the Sentist threat. Prymontian Rus will also provide minor military support and will be providing crops from southern farmlands to help remedy the famine.ย We'll be starting off in Zaspa to help the @Variotans reinforce their control in the area and to provide any required assistance against the Sentists. From Zaspa we'll quickly move west to Estaria and begin the campaign there. Assistance will also be provided by @Ivericaย - Prymont has a naval base in the country and Iverica has existing military supply routes in the area. Intelligence opportunities will also be offered by the Ivericans - I'll let him expand on that if he wishes to. This will hopefully soothe relations between the Prymontian and Iverican armed forces which were significantly hurt during the takeover of the Hellenic Rus (see: the mess that was the Battle of Salonica).ย Once established in Estaria the coalition will ease overpopulation by offering new opportunities in Prymont & Prymontian Rus, the former of which is suffering particularly from a small population. We'll also look to establish trade agreements with nearby nations to overcome the famine and promote domestic farming with tax incentives. A puppet government with roughly an equal level of autonomy compared to the Prymontian Rus will be set up (with elections obviously rigged to get Prymontian-backed candidates into power).ย Meanwhile we'll be building factories for Prymontian companies to seek cheap labour and creating military outposts so the Prymontian armed forces aren't so bloody far away from everyone and everything. Our close proximity to the ICEB also allows us to laugh at the commies and their farcical handling of a humanitarian crisis, because they're commies and can't do anything well. Yes, this means Julian Nordeng is back. Questions, critiques, advice etc is welcomed. I'll be looking at making my first post sometime next week. 4 Link to comment
Tagmatium Rules
You're moving into Ceris for the same reasons that I am - just being too far away from the rest of the wurld. Iverica
Re: Assisting Prymont Iverica is sticking to a support role. With some allowance for our observers to collect intel and study the situation. Intelligence support is mainly in satellite imaging; we'll be testing a new one. Some fireย support will also be made available to the Prymontians via ship-based guided missiles. These will be sourced from 2-CATFORย and other units of the 4th Fleet which have a presence in the Adlantic. For all intents and purposes, Iverica won't have a stake in the current conflict, apart from the interest in keeping our allies supported. Posting here as due diligence in case there are questions aboutย realism (logistics, supply, our military presence) and as per Pry's invite to expound. 1 Link to comment

Iverica
@Salvia I did ask you about your capabilities on Discord lol. Judging by your answer, you guys had it covered . Didn't see the need to get involved if the Iverican military just sits there and looks around. Boots on the ground is expensiveย and gauging from some of probes I've made into possible Iverican intervention, it looks like it will just bloat the IC thread than contribute to the narrative. Besides, the Christian int'l community should be grateful enough that the Cussian situation is being, might I say--adequetely contributed to by the Ministry Foreign Affairs and the Armada. So political pressure to join the Coalition directly is fairly low. 3 Link to comment

Tagmatium Rules
As an aside, and as it is most pertinent in this thread than others, I've renamed my carriers. It made very little sense to have them named after ports rather than something religious - it didn't fit the character of my nation. Because of this, the BPP Nystras is now the BPP Agios Pantaleon and the BPP Dyrrakion is the BPP Agios Ioulianos. They're named after military saints ICly, although OOCly they've pretty much been named at random from a list of Roman names. 1 Link to comment

This, obviously, is no longer tenable and they are now totally professional but still more of a second-line force. They also have slightly less high end equipment compared to the Palatinoi, although they make up the bulk of the Tagmatine army. P denotes the Palatinoi, the old โfield armyโ that acted as mobile army of Tagmatium. Now, it's more a central army that draws from across the empire, rather from divisions tied to specific areas. They have a longer training period and have access to better equipment. The Apelatai and Klibanoforoi are wholly professional, specialised units. The former are mountain infantry and border guards, set up to guard the western borders against the threat of the Haru. The latter is a shock cavalry unit, initially used to crack armies through the sheer weight of armour, man and horse. Now they're a shock cavalry unit, used to crack armies through sheet weight of armour, man and high-calibre gun. Almost as if I thought that the schwere Panzerabeiltung were a good thing to replicate in the modern day. Unit numbers are by type, rather than by actual numbers of units, unless in the case of the Apelatai and Klibanoforoi, which are consecutive. Unit numbers aren't necessarily consecutive โ some numbers are taken by paper units, disbanded units, destroyed units or units stricken from records due to being on the wrong side of various civil wars. 3 Link to comment
