As written by @Metztlitlaca: UPDATE (12th June 2021) The Terms of a member's nation to be erased have been changed. Metacommentary posts (posts that are not RP, Factbooks, Expansion/Reserve Posts, or similar) do not count towards time since activity as metacommentary posts can be used as a loophole to unfairly extend inactivity. Also, recently graduated members that have officially been added to the map will have a 2 month time limit (60 days) before they are removed from the map again. This of course only applies if a member of the community has not made any posts to declare their inactivity (it should be stated that posts that declare inactivity for an unfores…

Alarianplatz, Talord. January 1st, 2023. It was a new year, and the sun shone brightly through the clouds. Elric Fii stood on the stage next to Chief High Judge Otto Meyar. He couldn't help but think about how far he had come; In just three years, he had gone from the leader of a 'Coalition Party' to securing the Presidency of Hisera. The ever-growing crowd in front of him waved the tricolour flag of the new Hisera. Some waved the official party flag. And some even waved the various flags of some of the smaller parties which comprised his Socialist Hiseran Worker's Party. It all mattered little, though, because the fact of the matter was that this crowd that reached …

Geography Natural Hisera's natural geography is both a large positive and detriment to the nation. Two major east-flowing rivers cut through the country, both of which originate on Mt. Szlesca (the tallest mountain in the Western Mountain ranges of the nation, called The Narein). The thinner of the major rivers, the River Narla, is a much faster and wild river, which cuts through North, twisting and turning as it eventually empties in the ocean. The river Elga, is much wider, but also much calmer, taking a leisurely stroll almost through Hisera as it flows South and then directly East. A smaller part of the river cuts off near its widest part and flows further s…

Geography The Union of Yosai mostly with a Mediterranean like climate, the island most comprises mountains which accounts for 30% of the total area, hills, and plateaus for 40%, and plains for the remaining 30%. Yosai enjoys some moderate temperatures. History Yosai was originally inhabited by the Utari people, dating back as far as 600 CE. The first non-native settlement occurred in 1563 where Japonic people landed from the ship known as the Sukuinushi (救い主/Redeemer) and landed with some samurai troops, soldiers merchants and farmers. 7pm - April 19th, 1785 A moonless night bathed the capital in darkness, the pale stars drawing the constellations in the dark dome covered by a thin mist. The dim lights of the streetlamps, burning the fat oils, casts long dark shadows, and an orange tint color the cobblestone streets of the academic district of Isheim. The draconic statues representing the drakkar bows in front of the building appeared as if they could gain life at any moment with the trembling light. The man stood at the base of the small stairway of the entrance of the museum. The wrinkles around his eyes covered by the round, metallic frames of his glasses. The reflection of the warm fire li…

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WAS ALL A MISTAKE? YOU SAID YOU LOVED ME!" said a woman, as her tears ruined her makeup. "WHAT DO YOU KNOW? YOU ARE NO FAMILY, YOU ARE JUST AN OUTSIDER!" said another man, younger and taller than the woman. He then shoved her to the floor and ran out of the door before slamming it closed. The light turned dark... "AND CUT!" shouted a man outside. "Alright! That's a wrap everyone! Otsukaresamadesu*!" The room turned out to be a filming set, with several different cameras pointing at where the two had their "fight." "Hey, you were great! I hope my acting wasn't subpar or anything..." Said the man. "Yeah, thanks... Well, you…

This is an ongoing project so please regard this is a work in progress. Thank you. Geography The geography of Boaga consists of verdant forests, windswept fields, quaint oceanside villages and scattered, remote mountain valleys dissected by long, winding rivers. The terrain is as lush as it is untapped, though contemporary cities can still be found in crucial areas along the coast. Winters are quite cold but summers tend to be temperate. Heavy rain in the spring and summer is common, as is snow in the autumn. History The Kingdom of Boaga is an ancient nation established in antiquity by the nascient Kingdom of Baratza, one of many feuding petty kingdo…

THE PARAGON “It isn't a matter of forgetting. What one has to learn is how to remember and yet be free of the past.” ― Aldous Huxley, Island Part I: “The Island” The Port of Loiola The Island of Erlantzga, Boaga The decaying port town beckoned the man into its languid embrace. The nature of his work compelled him thus so. The deep, rumbling sea called out to him, though the endless waters were not what drew him there to begin with. As old as time it seemed, the sea was still steeped in magnificence, though unfortunately the same could not be said of the island that rose from the surface. The island was named Erlantzga, a small subdi…

Seven Days in August Thursday, 7th August 1997 | 10:15 hrs [UTC-3] Vukovica, Adjinua, Confederacy of Poja | Vukovica Air Base Major Petar "Scarecrow" Aleksić sat alone on the runway, strapped into his multimillion-dinar fighter as the aircraft's single, turbofan engine rumbled only a few meters behind him. Over a kilometer ahead of him, a pair of aircraft had only just lifted off the runway in unison, each one separated by mere meters, already doing over 400 km/h, and accelerating. For Aleksić, sitting on the runway in a ready-to-go jet, waiting to hear "You are cleared for takeoff", was always the most nerve-racking experience. Helmet on…

Disclaimer, keep in mind that this is a vision statement so much of what I'm talking about is not the final version of what things are and will certainly be modified and expanded upon. The general gist of what I'm saying will stay the same, but much of the detail is dependent on location on the map, RP with other nations, and being able to expand on details slowly over time than writing a massive paper all at once. If there's anything you would recommend I do to improve things, feel free to let me know. Geography: Conshānén is culturally and geographically defined by the Dàhémen River and its valley, which is quite fertile. The river begins in the Sacrishān Mou…

History Vithravark, officially the Kingdom of Vithravark (from Hvíthrafnmarkrigs, Realm of the White Raven’s Land) is a coastal nation that shares a common history with many others of its northern brethren. Born from the efforts of survival of the Buranian clans, the land of the white raven get its name from the major clan that settled in the region which used the Hvíthrafn (“white raven”) as its symbol. During the rise of the Thelarike Kingdom, the Hvíthrafnmark lord Andor I swears allegiance to Hrólfr Kraki and the nation becomes an independent vassal of Thelarike. During the Tagmatine Empire invasion, the Ísblar bay becomes a major naval base for the Nordic fleets…

07 August 2023 Suyana stepped out into the narrow cobblestone street from her second-story apartment, black bookbag hanging loosely from one shoulder. It was early and the heat, made worse by the urban heat effect, had not yet made the August humidity unbearable. Still, she felt beads of sweat begin to form on her forehead as a rolling breeze made her to press the top of her wide-brimmed hat against her head to prevent it from blowing away. Dark clouds to the southeast indicated it would likely rain again. At this hour, the street was just beginning to fill with activity. Vendors began to open their market stalls and storefronts, displaying everything from local…

History: The formation of the Confederacy of Poja came about in late 1900 when the six, independent states of Adjinua, Chernarus, Dosnima, Liaria, Thyrios, and Zbenoria signed the Treaty of Rugi. Prior to the signing of this treaty, these six states existed largely and independent nation-states harkening back to the early 1000s though they were not formalized into polities until the 1700s. Habitation by humans dates back to the 1st century AD when two, tribal societies dominated the landscape of modern-day Poja. Beginning in the early 1000s, these tribes began to diverge into various, sub-societies based on differences in dialect, religion, outside influence, and polit…

The Independent Administrative Area of Motoharu-chu (Esonian: 素晴中独立行政区域) is a city-state located in Western Esonice. With [TBA] millions residents of various nationalities in a [TBA] territory, Motoharu-chu is a very densely populated territory. It is economically progressive but socially conservative, with the country's politics and government positions filled with corporatists and their families. The city-state is heavily flawed in its democracy, even though freedom of expression is unrestricted. Elections are usually flawed, and some have called it a "guided democracy" and "corporatocracy" due to how intertwined politicians, corporations, and family clans are. The city…

The Past For over a thousand years the Itza people have resisted foreign influence. From migrating peoples to Europan colonizers, Itzan independence has been fiercely defended despite technological and economic inferiority. At its height, the Itza Empire was one of the most powerful nations in pre-colonial and early colonial Alharu. Formed in the late 14th century by the Kingdom of Itza following a period of rapid expansion, the empire united many of the neighboring tribes into a centralized state under the shared desire for mutual defense. Wary of Europan colonizers, especially having seen their influence exerted over neighboring states like Mesothalasa, the empi…

History: The Dominion of Apuni is a relatively new political entity, establishing its independence approximately sixty years ago. Originally a loose confederation of small independent cities-states and suzerains, it was infamous as a haven for piracy for decades. Over time, and with the modernization of Eurth navies, piracy abated and the Apuni island chain essentially became an economic vassals of its neighboring states. An opportunity emerged during the early 1960s, allowing the islands to consolidate into the current Dominion. Although the Apuni have faced challenges to its sovereignty, it is a small but emerging nation on Eurth. Geography: As a sprawling tropic…

(This is just a brief idea of what Lutezzik is like during Unification Month and on Unification Day. Which also happens to be election day. I am working on making a more comprehensive history, but the government style I am using is difficult to explain, so I thought I'd introduce it like this.) As the sun rises over the capitol city of Bitanga, the heart of the Lutezzik Federation, a vibrant aura of excitement fills the streets. It is Unification Day, a momentous occasion celebrated only once every ten years. International and domestic tourists and locals alike are eager to be part of the month-long festivities that take place across the Federation. The festiv…

On-board the DNS Wahoo [Ono Malani], 2000 hours, Sea of Ko'olau Steadying himself while walking back to the fantail, Petty Officer Kahana tapped his pack of cigarettes, digging out a single smoke in the dimming sunset light. Turning the corner, he saw his Chief and Captain Makani leaning on the rail, both staring off the stern, watching the wake of the ship. Chief glanced over and watched with amusement as he futilely fought the wind to a light a match. Snapping a flame from his own lighter, he helped Kahana drew a cherry on his own cigarette. “Next time we’re in port, you’re gonna want to get a lighter, shipwreck”, his chief said in a gravely voice. “Matches …
