Accra Imperiale Terrorism

Recommended Posts

Prime Minister Malleus made a statement countering the propoganda from the Mongol-Swede news organization. He expressed that the picture of a burial was of double agents who had been working to undermine the revolutionary effort in the previous fighitng. He also mentioned that he never authorized any attack on a field hospital or humanitarian facility, ever. Any assault on such facilities is being investigated.

The counter offensive aimed at Bregen hit a milestone today as the 121st armoured brigade broke the enemy line near Laax (a town about 70 miles away). Precision artillery strikes have been called into the city in effort to break the enemy fortifications before the assault on the city begins. The Ministry of Defense remarks that no civilian casualites have been reported.

The Ministry of Defense promised today, that rebels can expect more and more pressure and firepower as production of military equipment and vehicles was increased 200%. Over one hundred more vehicles and seven thousand soldiers have been dispatched to the southwest as the effort the rid the Imperiale of socialist influence.

The battle for Laax has begun as government soldiers and tanks roll into the city from the north and east. Artillery and Airstrikes have obliterated the bridges in the southern quarter of the city. With the spans over the canal brought into the water, little hope is left for rebels to flee the city through the south. Reports indicate that a majority of the rebels in the northern flank of the city have surrendered and even offered intelligence in hopes of negociating thier freedom.

Successful channeling of the extremists' armored columns into the city of Laxx resulted in massive Ironheart casualties, thanks to the valiant efforts of the 548th Conventional Strike Wing. The skies were filled with many of the 1-41st's AC-130 strike craft, decimating the Ironheart armored forces as they attempted to push the defenders of the city into a corner.

The actions of the 1-41st resulted in low friendly casualties, owing much to the Union's massive investments in precise telecommunications technology and effective MASINT technology.

Also, depsite assurances by the Ironheart extremists that they had ever 'cornered' the freedom fighters of Accra Imperiale, a series of vehicle-borned improvised explosive devices, many disguised as the same military vehicles used by the extremists, were remote-detonated at several critical junctures of the national infrastructure in the city of Sydvami, serving as a "reminder that the Ironhearts will not find themselves a clear and easy path to the elimination of freedom lovers throughout the Imperiale" declared Sunry Ytturb, the International Affairs Clan Chieftan.

Fortin Lobonsky, a retired Warrior of the 3-69 Freedom Fighter Group, noted that "Malleus has allowed himself to be deluded into thinking that this is a conventional war, where his enemies will simply gather in one place for him to exterminate. As I suspect we will soon see, the entire Imperiale will be erupting into chaos. The way my younger brethren are trained to fight: they're not going to give the extremists a target. We weren't trained to fight a foolish Cold War style battle. We witnessed the Soviets, who did help us liberate ourselves back when I had a full head of hair, fall into the same trap in Afghanistan.

We learned from those lessons, and trained for all these decades to match a similar threat like the Mujahadeen faced with the USSR. Malleus and his minions will eventually exhuast themselves, while the abundance of the Tribelands, as well as the growing national opposition to this militant terrorist's regime, will flow like the crisp, clean rivers of the Union."

The extremist leader Malleus today claimed he had no hand in the murder of unarmed personnel operating field hospitals and other humanitarian enclaves during their hostile takeover, demonstrating "a clear lack of responsible leadership and disregard for unnecessary destruction" the Tribal Tribunal's Prime Chieftain, Marko Ignacio remarked today.

***Socialist Turncoat***

The resisctance has felt a schizm as High Commander Till Greir and his followers have turned against the leaders of the resistance declaring that the socialists want nothing for the people and everything for themselves.

The two divisions under Greir's command have turned and opened fire on socialists in the cities around Bregen and have stolen or destroyed mamss amounts of the supplies intended to defend Bregen. Thousands have been reported dead and even more wounded. There are also claims that the resistance fighters have been grouping together and shooting civilians believed to support the turncoats.

In the midst of the chaos, government troops have been moving closer and closer to Bregen as air cover and tactical strikes ensure that no more disasters will occur like that of Laax. Air superiority fighters have been called into the theatre as well as an increase in strike fighters.

Strike fighters have been called in to destroy ground targets and limit the enemy's ability to defend the cities.

**Closing the Fist**

Accra Air Command has begun dropping paratroopers in the southern fringe of the Empire with orders to cut any and all supplies coming in by land. Special Forces Groups have been dropped to destroy targets of special interest.

Modernized C27s are shown preparing to deploy their passengers behind enemy lines. Most of these operations occur at night when the odds of being detected and tracked are lower.

As these operations are underway, armor reinforcements made their advance on Laax and broke the rebel defenses, crusing the resistance in the city, killing or capturing a mass majority of the rebels. An alleged 107 foreigners were among those taken captive. Following the breakthrough at Laax, unparalelled air superiority has allowed strike-fighters to bomb and eliminate enemy vehicles and troop concentrations in the city of Bregen.

Bregen is being surrounded as the paratrooper/commandos close in from the south and bring up a front to the east of the city, an armored assault is being assembled to the north, wolf packs sink maritime craft in the waters to the west of the port, and airstrikes have destroyed all airports in and around the city, it seems there is no where to go except hell...

WatchTower Base, Vocenae

"So, it's finally time. Have we been given permission from the Council to engage?"

"It's not official, if that's what you mean. Most of them are still shocked over the Adjutant's death, but the War Party is going to propose for mobilization within the next few days. We'll be fine as long as we use the Wyverns that the Ide Jimans helped us build."

"Still..."

"Listen, we are in control again. The Council will go back to the way it was, weak and easily manipulated. They will not put up a fight without a central leader they can rally around. Besides, what better way to test your new toys than with actual combat?"

"But what happens if one of them gets shot down? What if he lives and gets himself captured? It'll be an international incident, we'll get exposed!"

"Propaganda and a valid reason to sweep in and restore the old Accran government. Even if they managed to shoot one of your boys down and they learn that we attacked them, what can they do? The IronHeart regime is already despised by many of the regional powers, it would be nothing but assumed propaganda."

"...Damn it, your right..."

The Sky Marshal sighed, the General was right. Besides, they had pulled off the plan, and Hresvelgr was sitting in it's hanger, just waiting to be used...

OOC: LMFAO Troop concentrations...think realistically now: Insurgents don't 'concentrate'. Basically you're just killing mobs, not the real insurgency itself. But I'll play along.

A speech given by the Prime Chieftain, Marko Ignacio, with the assembly of many units of the Tribelands Civil Defense Union

As the IronHearts continue to pour tens of thousands of more troops into the soutwest of the Accran lands, the Warriors of the 3-69 Freedom Fighter Group, numbering only in the hundreds, with additional support from the 1-41 Wing, has managed to push IronHeart casualties well into the thousands. In their mad drive to retain control of their stolen lands, the self-proclaimed Prime Minister Malleus has adopted a policy of 'shoot on sight', forcing his extremist brethren to shoot on sight, killing many of his fellow countrymen in their drive to expel the vastly numerically inferior Warriors of the Tribelands.

While the Ironheart regime's media continues to insist that they are defeating an army, they have accomplished nothing more than laying waste to their own lands, destroying their own infrastructure, creating strife throughout the northern region of Europa with their demonstration of their weapons of mass destruction, and created a hostile situation in the Koscow Sea, destroying any maritime vessels regardless of the flag they fly, whether it be Vocenaen, or Adapton.

Taking into consideration the massive number of Warriors at home in the Tribelands, and how the IronHeart extremists have suffered so many casualties in their endeavour to 'seek peace' for their lands, for the very war they themselves started in the first place. That they did not first seek international aid for their cause is evidence that from the very beginning, they have had the intent of a brutal and hostile takeover of this 'Imperiale'. They have no love for the people. It was the freedom-loving Warriors of the Tribelands that had taken the initiative to shed our blood for the freedom of the Accrans, even as their fellow countrymen have taken arms against them, pitting the war machine against them.

This clear demonstration of love for freedom and peace is why I have ordered the swift withdrawl of the 3-69 Freedom Fighter Group from the Accran lands. We have demonstrated to the world that grand armies of tanks, bombers, fighter jets, and weapons of mass destruction cannot deter the will of the people from rising up and causing extremist, oppresive regimes to panic with fear and terror, shooting everything on sigtht, as the IronHearts have clearly made it their policy.

A final word to the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the IronHeart regime: You delude yourself into thinking that, by destroying some vehicles here, a city here, and a few fortifications along the way, that you are dissolving the will of the people you claim to protect from seeing the truth and taking up arms against you. You have failed to recognize the true spirit of the freedom fighters which have decleared the nullification of your violent and brutal seizure of the Accran lands.

Your enemies are not soldiers in unforms riding in tanks or armored personnel carriers, who gather in cities and build fortifications. Your enemy is the baker in his shop, whose family your death squads murdered when my people gave them the medical aid your IronHearts would have sooner denied them. Your enemy is the woman working in a government office, whose husband, trying to defend his home from your IronHeart marauders, was spirited away to a hidden prison in the radioactive wastelands in the east. And by the time you realize this, you will have already received the same justice you showed the late Emperor.

The world has seen your 'mighty' IronHearts trip over themselves trying to defeat the fighting brothers of the Union. Rest assured that any endeavours you undertake to expand your borders, or project your power overseas will be met with a force which you have clearly demonstrated you are incapable of grappling with.

Take your irradiated, broken Imperiale. It will serve as a fitting prison for you. The world beyond your borderlands will continue to flourish, while you hunker yourself down in your holes, behind your poorly trained military, who fears his own shadow. While you will undoubtedly claim a victory, you will have naught but an isolated nation with a growing list of war crimes to account for.

Allahu Akbar!

With the conclusion of the live broadcast, a message was transmitted throughout the Imperiale for each commando cell to cease operations and exit north. As they had first infiltrated the Imperiale covertly, so they would disappear into the shadows. With many of the Mongol-Swede forces having been entirely missed by the IronHeart's 'closing fist', and a substantial portion of the extremist military focused into the southwest, the path to the north was relatively unguarded, allowing the majority who up to this point have survived, would find their way from this land, the northern coastline of the Imperiale virtually unguarded.

OoC: By 'troop concentrations', I meant a group of seven grouped around a fire...

Following the defeat of the resistance forces in Bregen and around the empire, and the withdrawl of foreign soldiers from Accran soils, polling stations were opened around the nation to gauge the support of the people for their government.

88% - Thought the use of force was necessary to keep the nation whole and safe from outsiders. While only 12% disagreed with the war.

90% - Think the standard of living will increase thanks to the defeat of the rebels, while 7% think things will be the same, and only 3% plan to leave the country.

95% - Insist that it is better that foreign soldiers are leaving. 2% Wish they could stay, and 3% are unsure.

An overwhelming 94% of the nation supports the IronHeart rule, 5% think that more time needs to pass before they can be sure, and a miniscule 1% still support the old state.

MSNBC News Flash!

IronHeart national media reports today that the hundreds of thousands of Accran citizens, who are continuing the battle against the IronHeart regime no longer exist, and were wiped out within a matter of hours!

Network analysts generally conclude "these polling stations, likely all very far away from the fighting, were more than likely comprised of citizens pre-selected by the terrorist Malleus' own paramilitary forces, and that those citizens who even attended the polling station were likely fearing for an immediate violent reprisal from the IronHeart troops. It is also unlikely that, given the succesful efforts of the 3-69 Freedom Fighter Group in disrupting the nation's infrastructure at large, that a truly representative polling would have been able to have been so quickly conducted, given the widespread chaos throughout the nation, resulting from the use of improvised explosive devices. And what of all of those people who were living in the east, and were wiped out by Malleus and his nuke-testing there?"

Millions of fighters on the homefront here in the Tribelands were also being activated for heavy training exercises, continuing to prepare itself for a foreign invasion. Allies from around the region have already voiced their support for the valiant struggle for freedom and peace by the Warriors of the Union, particularly the Sublime Principate of Akiiryu to the north.

"All ready for you, Malleus, even as the noose begins to tighten around your neck. Your violence upon your own nation will be swiftly ended as the many tribes of the world unite against you. Allahu Akbar!" jointly proclaimed members of the assembled Freedom Fighter Groups in the capitol of Scandinaviopolis.

OoC: Uh... There is no oil here... you may as well take your crusade elsewhere! While we're at this: The resistance was only a contingent of the former army which fought against the IronHeart revolution. This wasn't a mass resistance all over the nation, simply an isolated occurance of violance backed by a nation viewed by many here as a tyrranical, land hungry enemy. Next, the emporer wasn't the nicest of guys. Stalin seems like a pretty good comparison. Everything was under his thumb, and he used that power to keep the poor in poverty and the rich few in the kremlin... err ArnHeim. After the IronHeart overthorw, many big businesses were broken up and small businesses were almost entirely endorsed by the government while the bigger business was left to fund itself. Beacuse of this, those who were willing to work hard were rewarded with their own harvests. the rich-poor gap has shrunk drastically, and is still falling, while economic and civil progress continues on. The mass majority of the people enjoy life here, outside influence is frowned upon as it is veiwed as charity (I wasn't planning on fighting my rebels until someone jumped on the issue and highjacked it, rather I was going to negociate with myself and build a better place). As for the polling places, they had been open for a while (I seem to have fogot to mention that), and no body standing around with a gun was there to watch who voted 'for' the Prime Minister.

"God bless you all. This is your victory! It is the victory of the cause of freedom in every land. In all our long history we have never seen a greater day than this. Everyone, man or woman, has done their best. Everyone has tried. Neither the long years, nor the dangers, nor the fierce attacks of the enemy, have in any way weakened the independent resolve of the Accran nation. God bless you all."

During the celebrations that followed the announcement of the end of the war in the Empire, Malleus and his principal colleagues appeared on the balcony of the Ministry of Health in Sydvami, and made his brief speeche to the vast crowd. After the words "This is your victory" the crowd roared back, "No-it is yours." It was an unforgettable moment of love and gratitude.

OOC: LMFAO Who said I was talking about your people? And oil? WTF? I'm not pretending to be America! And you presume that my nation was trying to bolster the old Emperor? There are other goals in mind here! It's called veiled intentions.

And my forces could care less what the former military was up to. I only had them training them up a little, distributing a little propaganda, etc. My forces had their own goals.

You clearly misunderstood what I was up to, which was exactly the point, really, so I should not complain. But there was no need to break character at this point. Roll with what you got. It took me around three years in real life time to get my fledging multi-million freedom fighter 'military' developed.

Oh, and, back to the oil thing: MY NATION DOES NOT USE ANY PETROL WHATSOEVER! As I have stated many times, we've moved on to cleaner things!

Again though, this breaking of character was ridiculous, but, as before, I'm willing to play along, always a good sport.

And MY forces WERE widepsread throughout your nation. They were blowing things up, making IEDs, etc, causing hell. You were fighting your own 'resistance', I was mostly elsewhere. If you had bothered to analyze this thread, maybe you would've realized that. And you did fail to mention setting up polling stations, and, if you had, I likely would have targeted them, made a big story about them like I did just now, etc., because who knows? Maybe I WAS planning a socialist takeover? Or maybe I simply wanted to deprive you of your nuclear arsenal? All of this and more are valid possibilities!

So before you break character and try to weasle yourself out of this predicament, please try to grow a pair. Thank you, looking forward to fun roleplaying from here on out.

Asalaam alaikum.
