  2. The Broken Tree The Broken Tree is a 2008 Anatean folk horror movie (OOC: A theatrical text). Set in the early Mantellan Colony Era of 1600, the plot follows the story of Silvia (Lucia Salvatori) and her father Pierpaolo (Michele Campochiari) in the village of La Spezia, who encounter strange and macabre happenings beyond their comprehension. WARNING! THE MOVIE CONTAINS SUBJECTS AND DESCRIPTIONS NOT SUITED TO SENSIBLE VIEWERS OR UNDER 16. A group of villagers of the early Mantellan colony era is around a dead tree in the middle of a prairie. The sky is cloudy, and the wind blows as it's revealed that a woman is tied to a dead tree. The villagers all look at her with disgust and hatred. The head of the village comes forth. PIERPAOLO: Geltrude Mirali, as the head of the village and after we found you guilty of disemboweling our own brothers and sisters of the village... We accuse you of witchcraft. As such, as punishment for save your soul from the Devil, you will spend the rest of your life tied to this tree until our Lord will make you perish of thirst and hunger. The woman is silent, while the villagers come back to their homes silently. At night the wind blows harder and harder, as the clouds oppress the dark sky. A thunder strikes the tree where the presumed witch was tied. The head of the village looks out from the window, as the tree keeps burning in the night. The family of Pierpaolo gathers around him, looking out of the window too. PIERPAOLO: Our Lord as spoken, as his word is the only salvation in this wurld. ... The following morning, Pierpaolo and a group of men from the village go to inspect the burned tree, now extinguished from the fire. As they inspect what's left of the burned tree, they can't find the burned corpse of the presumed witch. 3 Months later... PIERPAOLO: Where is, where is? SILVIA: Father, what are you looking for? Pierpaolo stops to look around the house, then looks towards his daughter. PIERPAOLO: The money of the village, they were hidden in the cupboard, but now they disappeared! Without those money we can’t pay the taxes to the state! SILVIA: Let me help you find them, father. When there was mom, she was able to keep everything in place. PIERPAOLO: You’re right, I miss her so much. But at least now she’s on the Lord’s side. Silvia nods, and both continue to look around the house for the disappeared money. As Silvia looks inside a cupboard, she is able to find the little chest where the money of the village were stored. SILVIA: Father! Father! I found the chest! Pierpaolo immediately goes to Silvia, and opens the chest, finding it empty. Pierpaolo throws the chest on the ground, enraged. He immediately goes outside his home. Silvia follows her father outside, seeing his father talking to a man of the village. PIERPAOLO: All I'm saying is that there could be a thief between us. Keep an eye open for me. The man nods, as Pierpaolo goes back inside his home. Later that night Silvia is on her bed, trying to get asleep, until she hears something scratching on the door of her room. She wakes up immediately, slightly scared. She slowly approaches the door, as the scratching continues. Silvia opens the door and she sees her cat, which immediately purrs and enters the room. She breathes a sigh of relief and immediately comes back to her bed, with her cat lying down on her feet. As soon as Silvia closes her eyes, she immediately hears another scratching coming from the door. This time she looks scared towards the door, since her cat is inside the room now, and slowly she begins to walk towards the door, where the sound of something scratching becomes louder and louder. She opens the door, finding nothing. She looks around the corridor of the house, trying to see something but it’s empty and devoid of any presence. In the morning, Silvia wakes up and dresses herself, ready to go work at the garlic plantation of the village. She leaves the house and goes towards the plantation, but a group of people of the village are looking towards the crops. SILVIA: What is happening? WOMAN: The garlic crops, they... The woman points towards the crops, and Silvia can see that the garlic crops are all withered and dead. The only source of income of the village was dead. SILVIA: How is it possible? it never happened in Summer! MAN: I have no clue either. Yesterday the crops were fine! WOMAN: First the money of the village disappeared, and now this. Somebody must be behind this! Silvia and the people of the village begin to disperse, not knowing what to do. Later that night, Silvia is again in her bed, sleeping. She hears someone walking in the corridor. She gets out of the bed and opens the door, seeing her little brother Lucio walking towards the entrance of the house. SILVIA: (whispering) Lucio! What are you doing? No response from Lucio, as he continues walking and opens the door of the house. She immediately takes a lantern and follows her little brother outside, while he keeps walking in the dark towards the open prairie. SILVIA: (whispering) Lucio! Come on! Lucio! Stop! She follows him and as soon as she reaches him, five shadowy figures appear in the distance. Silvia looks at them terrified, despite the shadowy figures are still. Suddenly, the shadowy figures begin to run towards Silvia and Lucio. Silvia immediately grabs Lucio and runs back home, pursued by the shadowy figures that are closing on Silvia. As soon as Silvia is next to the door of her house, Pierpaolo suddenly comes out, and Silvia screams, waking up Lucio. PIERPAOLO: What are you two doing outside in the middle of the night?! SILVIA: I-I... Lucio was going outside, but some people were pursuing us and, and... Silvia points out towards the prairie, but both her, Lucio and Pierpaolo don’t see anything. SILVIA: Father, you have to believe me! I saw them! PIERPAOLO: Stop with this nonsense and get back to sleep, both of you! Silvia and Lucio immediately get inside, as Pierpaolo, before going inside his home too, looks for the last time at the dark prairie. The following morning Silvia wakes up and goes out, ready to help with the crops of the season, but as soon as she and other villagers arrive, they see all the crops withered. MAN: Oh Lord, now what do we do? We needed these crops for the Winter! MAN: We can still wait for the merchants, they should arrive in three days, i think... MAN: And then what? We don’t have anything to trade for food! PIERPAOLO: What is happening?! WOMAN: The crops have all withered! We don’t have anything to eat for the next season! PIERPAOLO: Damn it! Also where is Giancarlo? He should have been with us! MAN: I didn’t see him, nor anybody of his family. Pierpaolo and some villagers immediately reach Giancarlo’s house, but as they knock on the door several times, they don’t receive any response. They open the door of the house, finding it in order but devoid of its inhabitants. WOMAN: Pierpaolo! My kids have found something, at the broken tree! The villagers immediately reach the broken tree in which the witch was condemned to die of thirst and hunger several months before. Upon reaching the site, all the present notice that several clothes are all scattered near the broken tree. Pierpaolo kneels to touch one of them. PIERPAOLO: These are Giancarlo’s clothes, these ones of his wife, and all the others of his kids. MAN: Where did they go then? PIERPAOLO: They left us! They decided to take our money, ruin our crops and leave us behind! MAN: Those bastards! But how were they able to ruin all our crops? PIERPAOLO: They... they were witches too. There’s no other explanation. Everybody gasps in horror. Pierpaolo looks again at the clothes and then at the prairie, as the clouds oppress the sky. The same night Silvia is sleeping in her bed, until at a certain point something is scratching at her window. She wakes up immediately, and slowly she looks outside the window, seeing a shadowy figure resembling a woman in the middle of the village. The shadowy figures begins to walk towards the window, slowly. Silvia immediately pick’s up her lantern and tries to look outside the window, but the shadowy figure disappeared. She keeps looking outside, until she hears a familiar feminine voice behind her. WOMAN: Did you miss me, Silvia? Silvia immediately looks behind her and as soon as the shadowy figure behind her makes a step, she can see that it was her deceased mother. Her face pale and her eyes devoid of any life. As soon as Silvia screams, she wakes up in her bed. Outside it’s morning, and realizing it was just a nightmare, she immediately prepares to go outside. As soon as she goes outside, she finds the people of the village around the center of the village. She then reaches them, and she can observe pieces of dead animals placed in circle. There is no blood, only the body parts of different animals, such as cows, pigs, chickens and... humans. Between the animal body parts, the head of Giancarlo and his family members were in the circle too. PIERPAOLO: So it wasn’t Giancarlo… MAN: Oh God, our animals, they are all gone! MAN: It means they are all here. Who could have done something atrocious like this?! PIERPAOLO: We have been cursed by the Devil! We have to pray more for avoid to be cursed more and- A woman screams in terror. Everybody looks towards a house of the village and immediately reach the building, finding a woman of the village standing. Next to her there were the members of the family living in that house, slumped on the floor but with their faces completely devoid of eyes, mouths or noses. WOMAN: (Terrorized) I-I found them like this, I couldn’t- The woman begins to cry as two men take her out while Pierpaolo was inspecting the bodies. WOMAN: Who is doing all this? PIERPAOLO: I don’t know, all I know is that we have been cursed and we need help. WOMAN: We need an exorcist, able to help us! PIERPAOLO: The closest town it’s two days travel from here, without horses it will take more… If whoever is after us gets us in the open, we’ll all be dead. WOMAN: So what do we do? PIERPAOLO: We wait, and we keep our eyes peeled for any strange things happening until the merchant caravan arrives, then we’ll leave this place. Everybody leaves the house, while Silvia remains there, looking shocked at the bodies. That night Silvia tries to sleep, but she can’t. She keeps seeing images of her mother that appeared in her dreams last night. As she tries to sleep, she hears some scratching outside the house, and then a door opening. As she tries to look outside the window, she immediately hears some stomps in the corridor, outside her room. She looks towards the door terrorized, as the stomps become louder and louder, until the door opens and his father enters the room armed with a musket, together with Silvia’s little brother Lucio and her little sister Monica. PIERPAOLO: I heard some strange noises outside. Better if we all sleep together tonight… SILVIA: Yes Father… Lucio and Monica immediately get in the bed with Silvia, as Pierpaolo loads the musket and looks towards the window. The next morning, Silvia is woken up by a female scream. She immediately sat on her bed and looking outside through the window, she sees a woman running from one of the houses. Pierpaolo blocks the woman running. Silvia immediately rushes outside, reaching her father. PIERPAOLO: What is happening?! WOMAN: (Scared) Pietro’s family.. they..they, they’re all dead! Pierpaolo immediately leaves the woman and goes inside the house, finding Pietro and his family members all hanged. The hands and eyes are all missing. MAN: (Scared) Pierpaolo! Even Franco’s family! They are all dead! They are hanged! Pierpaolo immediately goes to Franco's house, finding the same scene of him and his family all hanged. The eyes and hands are missing too. PIERPAOLO: Paolo, help me dispose these bodies. MAN: (Scared) We can’t continue like this, only my and your family are left in the village. PIERPAOLO: Don’t be scared, we need to resist just one more day and then the merchants will arrive... The same night, Silvia, Pierpaolo, Monica and Lucio are all in Pierpaolo’s room. Nobody can’t sleep, as they are visibly worried about the latest happenings and on guard. Suddenly several screams are heard. Pierpaolo immediately gets up and takes his musket. PIERPAOLO: Stay here! I’ll go help Paolo and his family! Before Silvia is even able to say something, her father has already left the room. Several minutes have passed but no sound has been heard. Silvia begins to think that maybe they are all alive and well, smiling a little. Lucio and Monica, on the other hand, begin to walk towards the door. SILVIA: Lucio! Monica! Stop it! She tries to grab the arms of Monica, but Silvia can’t pull towards her her little sister. She then begins to run in the corridor and at the door leading outside the home, putting herself in front of it. As soon as she does that, an unknown force immediately makes her fly across the room, making her impact on the wall. The door opened by itself, showing pitch black darkness outside. Monica and Lucio are both sleepwalking towards the exit of the house, as Silvia instead is scared and crying. SILVIA: Monica! Lucio! Nooo! They both disappear in the darkness. The room is silent, being interrupted only by Silvia’s silent crying. Without anything to lose and scared, Silvia gets up and slowly begins to approach the door, but on the way to the door, something taps on the window next to her. At first the window is pitch black, but then something begins to appear. Silvia screams in terror, as two long and skeletal arms break the window and grab her by force, slamming her outside in the pitch black darkness. The following day the merchants arrive at the village with their carts and guards. As they begin to enter the village under the cloudy and oppressing sky, they are unable to hear any sound. They approach the center of the little village, but they don’t find anybody. Only their houses with their doors open and devoid of any sign of life. One of the guards points towards a trail of blood that is then being followed by the caravan, bringing it to the broken tree outside the village, the very one where the witch was destined to die. Their faces are immediately twisted in horror upon reaching the site. A circle made of human body parts presents itself under their very eyes, as in the center of the human circle, the corpses of Pierpaolo, Silvia, Monica and Lucio are displayed in position, forming a pentacle star, disemboweled and devoid of life. At the top of the star, the burned corpse of the witch is present and with it the broken tree is in the middle of the star, completing the blood ritual that she was trying to achieve for years. THE END
  3. Mention: @Xio (sorry for the ping ^^”) Hello hello! Since I came back and the RP I was doing with Louvier is now different from what we started, I'd like to update the request I did for my expansion too in the β€œLouvier expansion request topic”. Since now Louvier doesn't exist any more, I'd like for Anatea to claim the territory that Louvier would have annexed after the war with Azuria ended, updating the claim map like this: BUT since it's a good chunk of territory, I'd like to divide my expansion in two phases: Phase one – The Anatean vs Azurian War I'm role-playing right now. Phase two – The Annexation of Azuria through another RP, set in the post-war period where Anatea will have to quell rebellions and guerrilla units left in Azuria that want to kick out Anatean occupation forces in the region and convince the population in the northern regions of Azuria to actually join Anatea. Realistically, it will take more time, since a direct annexation after the end of the war would be pretty unrealistic, and it will not take into account the social challenges that Anatea will have to go through for pacifying the region. After the end of the war (phase one), I'd like Azuria to be created as a NPC but with the Anatean Flag instead of the Azurian one, so to show that the nation is under Anatean occupation (kinda like Korinon and Corinium, with @Haruspex and @Seylos) After the end of phase two, the NPC could be removed and the territory can finally be part of Anatea I link here the explanation about Azuria and the RP that I wrote in the Louvian expansion request topic, so to have all the needed information at hand
  4. O N T H E B R I N K The Dalstavian War had left unbridgeable gaps in the management of the Anatean army and in the government. A lone princess is called upon to rule a country completely by herself, while behind the shadows a greater force is moving to subvert the country and bring it to the brink. A phantom division, a squadron of former war veterans and a trusted fews will face the greatest internal danger Anatea has ever faced in its existence.
  5. THE DALSTAVIAN WAR May 2019 It is always thought that after a war peace should come, and with it also prosperity and knowledge ... but that was not the case. The long and heartbreaking civil war in Ruthenia brought Supreme Leader Kars Delai to power after 9 years of sacrifices, deaths and hunger. Although the conflict ended in 2009, the nation was unable to recover economically from the disastrous situation it was in, leaving the population at the mercy of the dictator and death. There were those who had enough of all this, that it was time to stop trusting the government and decided to break away and seek luck with other partners. The Dalstavia region did so, proclaiming its independence from Ruthenia on April 28, 2019 to join the Republic of Anatea. At the time Anatea did not want to allow Dalstavia to join, to avoid a war with Ruthenia, but limited itself to sending humanitarian aid to the region. Despite this, Ruthenia's reaction was furious: loyalist forces in the region began to prevent anatean transports from reaching their destination, even going to arrest the members of the convoys with anatean military included, while the refugee camps began to be bombed or threatened by the ruthenian forces. The situation was decaying more and more into total madness, and the only answers that politicians were able to give were threats. Fulvio Silani, prime minister in that year and president of the Set Party (center-right wing) repeatedly threatened to declare war on Ruthenia if it did not cease hostilities with refugees and anatean organizations in the dalstavian region. At first the message seemed not to have been received but one day, suddenly, hostilities ceased. Supreme leader Kars Delai had stopped any hostile action on the territory of Dalstavia. Did he finally understand that such actions would lead to a disastrous war for both nations? At the moment it is not known, but the leader has accepted a peace meeting in the neutral city of Sigta to speak in person with the anatean regents King Edward II and Queen Isabel II. It seemed that the war had finally been avoided, so much that the anatean population had breathed a sigh of relief, but Ruthenia had other plans ...
  6. 22 June 2020 For several days on the regional news and on Solisea News the government had announced a referendum about the reduction of fuel use to modernize the country with clean energy. Since 2005 Anatea tried to obtain renewable energy so as not to spend too much money on the import of petrol and raw materials, trying to avoid the use of nuclear energy which, according to a referendum and a law that later became reality, was prohibited in energy and military field in 1990. Now, on June 22, the Set party (center-right and supporter of the continued use of oil) and the Lucet party (center-left and supporters of the use of renewable energy) had to convince members of the Senate to obtain a majority to prevent or put into practice the development of renewable energy for the country. The first blow was given by the minister of the Lucet party, Lucas Fisher, highlighting the advantages to the ecosystem, very dear to Anatea, and the reduction of waste of primary resources such as gasoline or mantain the continuous disuse of nuclear energy which Anatea has always tried to avoid to use. This move would also be able to help industries and businesses to spend less money on the import and use of oil, removing a net 10% of expenses to give more income to improve businesses or hire other workers to increase the efficiency. All was received very well by most of the senators, finding many of them applauding, but Fulvio Silani, current prime minister and head of the Set party, had to reply to the last proposal: if on one hand the use of renewable energy would have reduced emissions and given a 10% profit percentage to companies, on the other it would have required heavy expenses to convert energy suppliers or build / connect their plants to already built energy sources. Along with that huge expenditure, it should have even been noticed that many kind of jobs where the use of primary energy sources had priority would have been closed, causing many citizens to lose countless jobs. The Senate actually calculated that the timing was not yet too ripe for such a change, welcoming Mr. Silani's criticism with uncertain applauses, but Mr. Fisher managed to reply to everyone's surprise: if this change would have given problems to the current industries, even closing some of them, on the other hand this would have intensified the formation of new IT jobs or through the use of the web, in which Anatea had gaps. This would have led Anatea to develop the tertiary sector, being able to create more jobs with very low maintenance costs, and give a lot of competition to foreign companies outside the territory. The unexpected intervention was greeted by other applauses from the Senate, who seemed increasingly convinced of knowing which way Anatea would have taken, which was then followed by the vote which lasted about twenty minutes. After 3 hours of debate and voting the results were elaborated and counted: 45 in favor of the introduction of renewable energy at national level, 41 against and 14 abstentions. Despite the victory, however, this reform would have taken years to be introduced and completed, as Anatea's economic status would have struggled to renew the national industry in very short times and costs. It was a bitter victory but full of future promises.
  7. Sarah Mezzani << Welcome to the morning edition of Solisea News, with Sarah Mezzani! Let's start with news about the Anatean GDP's recovery after the end of the conflict in Delstev. I pass the line to Jack Lini about his report. >> Jack Lini << It is with constancy and many sacrifices that Anatea has managed to improve its GDP by +0.3 in recent weeks. The secret? A cut on the armament funds of the army to divert them towards the incentives for the companies that were going in clear crisis. Along with the good news of the recovery, unemployment is also falling, but the army is more worried than ever about the interruption of supplies or the focus for new experimental projects that have given a serious halt to surveillance operations in the vicinity of Delstev. Prime Minister Fulvio Silani has promised that once a stable GDP level is regained he will return to support the army to keep it updated with the latest technological innovations. That's all, I pass the line back to the study. >> Sarah Mezzani << Thanks Jack. With the GDP rapidly recovering, we also have good news from Delstev about humanitarian aid associations. I pass the line to Carlo Iaconni. >> Carlo Iaconni << Thanks Sarah! Yes, humanitarian aids from Senza Frontiere has been able to help rebuild a part of the Ickras district, the capital of Delstev, today. The reconstruction works had already started immediately after the end of the conflict but thanks to donations from other nations and from Anatea, the local population managed to continue the works, making the first area almost completely rebuilt for now. It is expected that for now it will take more than ten years to rebuild most of the island, but if the donations and support remain unchanged, they may also be reduced to 4 years, which would help the region to rise economically once and for all. That's all, I pass the line back to Sarah. >> Sarah Mezzani << Thank you so much Carlo. These were the news for this morning edition of Solisea News! Thanks for following us and stay tuned! Have a good day! >>
  8. It had been a few years since Anatea had experienced the thrill of war on its skin. It was not as cold and distant as they told in school and information books, nor heroic as the novels about soldiers and generals did. It was ruthless, tough, relentless. Nobody was spared, nobody saw the next day without having had a reckless dose of luck that would have made everyone pass unscathed through the hell of lead and flames that was the war. They were numbers against numbers, powerful against other powerful, hordes of innocent people who were sent to the massacre despite Anatea had always claimed to be a peaceful nation. But it wasn't that day. In the distant Spring 2019 Ruthenia, a nation close to Anatea, was experiencing a period of economic instability after finishing a civil war that had torn the nation in 2009. Of course, the Ruthenian leader Kars Delai and his faction had emerged victorious from the war, but by that time the post-conflict economic trauma was proving more difficult to manage than the civil war itself. The ruthenian people were hungry and work was lacking, the territories under the Federal Republic of Ruthenia could no longer support the torment of dictatorship and poverty. It was at that moment that the island of Delstev decided to detach itself from the central government and ask for humanitarian aid to Anatea, much richer and more stable. Obviously Ruthenia was furious, and became even more furious when the anatean humanitarian aids arrived on the island to prevent masses of refugees from attempting a suicidal crossing of the sea that divided the two territories. From that day the ruthenian bases remained loyal to the central government did everything to avoid Anatea any support for the region, invoking constitutional laws absent and destroyed by the party itself years earlier, sabotaging or stopping humanitarian convoys and even going so far as to bomb refugee camps. With the escalation of Ruthenia's aggression, Anatea could safely leave Delstev and go home. But it didn't. The center-right government, at that time and still in power in Anatea, decided that everything possible should be done to save Delstev's innocents, not calculating that such stubbornness would cause many other deaths. They had elevated Anatea to be the hero of the situation, motivating the citizens to be right ... but it didn't help. The breaking point came when the air cargo of the anatean delegation, formed by King Edward II, Queen Isabel II and other delegates, was intercepted and destroyed during the journey to a peace conference in Sigta, to resolve the Delstevian issue face to face between Anatea and Ruthenia. The attackers? Ruthenian stealth fighters, that's what the AWACS and the anatean escort fighters recorded when they fought that day to ward off the inevitable. On the same day Ruthenia began a large-scale invasion of Delstev to regain possession of the island, while Anatea could not help but respond to revenge by sending other men to die in a place away from home. The war lasted for 7 months and ended with the anatean victory over the ruthenian troops retreating from the island, but the damage had already been done and Princess Sofia Soleri, daughter of the parents who died in the attack on the cargo, understood that the war had not solved anything for Anatea. The only results were only obtaining Delstev' s independence from Ruthenia, and the political collapse of Ruthenia which ended up divided into small factions and regions calling for freedom. It was in that moment that Sofia Soleri understood that the political line adopted by the center-right minister Fulvio Silani was not suitable for Anatea and neither did the interest of the nation, she understood that if Anatea wanted to prevent war disasters or save innocent lives, it had to do it as quietly as possible. 20 June 2020 The pilots of the Sol Squadron, the aerobatic patrol of the Anatean Air Force, had been called to the base of Eris Island regarding their use in an experimental department. The thing had been covered very well, as the pilots were even escorted to the base by the agents of the FSS (Federal Strategy Service) while the superiors had been minimally informed of the transfer, not wanting to get involved in even deeper bureaucratic matters of the already complicated chain of command. It had been a quick, silent and clean operation. The four were taken to another air base on Eris Island, much more covered and supervised than the official one present on the island. - Where do you think they are taking us? - asked Bradley, Captain of the Sol Squadron. - I don't know, it's not the official base of Eris Island ... I don't like this situation ... - admitted Sasha, second in command of the squadron. - I hope it's not connected to that day when ... we weren't able to protect the King and Queen of Anatea ... - - You will know soon, don't worry. - said one of the escort agents coldly. Inside the base the pilots were made to sit in a semi-dark room, built inside a hill where half of the base seemed to be hidden. Only a couple of lights on the ceiling minimally illuminated the empty gray room. It felt like being in a box. Suddenly one of the doors of the room opened and a man in aviation short sleeve uniform with two FSS agents appeared before them. They were silent and the man, probably thirty years old, had dark penetrating eyes, as if they wanted to explore the soul of who was in front of him, as well as a dark wooden staff that he used to help him walk. - Forgive all this secrecy but this transfer is confidential. Let me introduce myself, I am Colonel Adam Kalt. - explained the man, shaking hands with all the pilots. - Adam Kalt ... THAT Adam Kalt? - asked Edward - The same Major Kalt who during the war with Ruthenia obtained 26 air kills? - - Yes, it's me. - the man smiled slightly. - But ... you ... they said you have been killed in action over the skies of Ickras! - Bradley continued, almost incredulous to face the same ace they had given up for dead. - That's what they said ... but ... let's say I saved myself, and that the report was not entirely fair. But that's okay. The fact that that last fight no longer gave me the chance to fly is as if it had declared me dead. - explained the man. - I see ... - replied the Captain, looking at the colonel's staff. - Moving on to more serious matters, we have called you here for an urgent matter. Anatea is weaker than ever, and the last war, won by sheer luck and sacrifice of many, highlighted the limits that our nation can reach and on which it can even collapse. From this moment on you will never fly in the Anatean Air Force again. - - S-Sorry... what? - Bradley burst out. - What does it mean? Is it for that time that we failed to protect Anatea's regents? I know we had to do it, but you have seen it too that we had been outnumbered that day! - tried to explain Sasha. - That's not for that. - interrupted a female voice coming from behind the shoulders of the four pilots, from the same door from which the four had entered. At first the lack of light made it impossible to clearly distinguish who she was, but when she got even closer to the pilots the faint light showed the face of Sofia Soleri. The princess of Anatea was in front of them. - Y-Your Majesty, what ...? - asked incredulously Samuel, fourth pilot of the Sol squadron. - On the contrary, that day you gave your best to protect my mother and father ... and I am grateful to you. - explained the princess - But for this very reason I called you. I need you to fly for me and for my new secret division: the GHOST Division. You are experienced pilots who have demonstrated great skills in that single battle, even without having participated directly in that war. All those in this division are for the most part veterans of the Delstev war given for dead, but who have demonstrated skill in handling difficult situations and numerically superior enemy forces despite the numerous disadvantages. I want you to join this undercover division. - - All right, your majesty, but ... why all this? - asked Daniel, third pilot of the Sol squadron. - The reason? Because we barely struggle to defend our borders, and we absolutely need to prevent future disasters that can hit Anatea or harm innocent people in the most silent way possible. Look at Ruthenia, Anatea and that nation were once in good terms before the civil war, but if we had intervened earlier when Ruthenia asked us for help we could have avoided many deaths and the recent war with Ruthenia that would have erupted. But no, my father and the delegation of that time preferred to ignore and hope that everything would resolve itself, but it doesn't work like that .. someone has to intervene and help the people out there .. and that's us. - she finished explaining. - Count on us your highness. - Bradley confirmed, saluting with the military salute which was promptly imitated by the rest of the squadron. - Perfect. Welcome to the GHOST Division, Revenant Squadron. - said Colonel Kalt. - Revenant eh? I like it ... - Sasha commented, smiling. Only time would show what the new squadron added to the secret division was capable of.
