The Europan Space Agency is a non ? military organization that has been set up to bring those advanced Europan nations with space programs together. This system will hopefully house some of the most powerful and influential Europan nations, and will bring together these nations in a peaceful manner.

 

This thread will be used as a headquarters for this organization. All space exploration RPs will have links posted here too. As with every organization, the Space Agency has a charter (which can be amended if necessary):

 

Decree 1: The space agency is non ? military. International political matters are not debated here, unless they have to be. This leads me on to my next point:

 

Decree 2: Should a conflict occur between two member states then one of the states concerned should withdraw from any international space projects, or come to an agreement.

 

Decree 3: Nations will be asked to leave if any of the following should occur

 

Posting insulting/ aggressive things OOC or IC for that matter

Blatant Idiocy (like godmodding, but a step or two further}

 

Decree 4: With any luck, this agency should grow to be large. Rather than having one nation control it all, this agency shall have rotated leadership every 2 weeks. I shall start. The role of overseer shall not be that exciting, I can grant you that.

 

Decree 5: More of a guideline than an actual rule, it would be good if OOC stuff was kept to a minimum.

Subject: Space Programme

 

This seems like a honourable proposal and Niederoestereich is willing to join this Establishment, although some things must be noted

 

First of All, the Niederoestereich Space Programme is run by the military and all our launches, staff and space construction facilities are all in military establishments. If this poses a problem to Niederoestereich's egibility to join the ESA, we will not join

 

We would join the ESA under the preconception that no other nation will be placing weaponry satellites into orbit or conduction weapons testing in orbit. Although this may seem hypocritical because of our space programme run by military, our aim is only to further human achievements, Niederoestereich achievement. Not to take tactical advantage over other nations. Therefore we propose this be added as a decree in the ESA charter, " launching space weaponry into orbit is forbidden"

There is no problem if your space program is run by your military. So long as there are no weapons sent up to space. This system is Non - military and so no weapons are to be sent up.

Today the Tribal Tribunal, after having called for a vote from every village and city's tribal council, acquired approval to bring the Tribelands into the Europan Space Agency. Though i believe alot needs to be done before a mission can be launched.

Tamurin has no huge rockets, but develops a system like "SpaceShipOne" or the X-15-program - one carrier aircraft and one rocket aircraft that goes into low orbit. We don't know how we can participate in a joint mission. We can just share knowledge or cooperate with similar programs.

May I suggest you try and contact San Ba. He has a space center is quite isolated, which is safe when something goes wrong. Also, he is quite neutral and interested in science. Consider it.

This idea does seem good, however it would serve well for international relations if it was operated out of the space centre of a member state. If others think that contacting San Ba would be a good idea then so be it. This was just my own view on the subject.

I suggest a space station for our first RP. That way each member can send components from their own nations, joining them up in space.

A Europan space station, for the purpose of international research, and as a startup project for this new organization, is something we are ready, able, and more than willing to support. We feel, however, that a general meeting must first be conducted to determine each nation's role in this project, so that each can properly allocate funding, logistics, and human resources for their part. We would be happy to host such a meeting in our neutral facilities, but if this is not acceptable, we would also recommend the Republic of Tamurin for their hospitality and ideal place as a neutral meeting grounds.

An easy way to do it is: determine which nation is good for what.

 

For example:

- IT

- rocket

- science

- enginering

- communication

 

OOC: Just take a look how the ISS is being built.

Many thanks Orioni. We should use Orioni's points as basic guidelines for each nations role. if each nation interested in paticipating posts here, we can start talks about this project.

Phil V has expressed an interest in this possible furthering of the bounderies of science and this world. Although Phil V has no active space program, we are very interested in contributing to this massive project in any way people would feel is acceptable.

 

We are a large nation, and would be willing to provide funding and facilites for any number of purposes, but due to our small militery, the capacity for training pilots or possible astronauts is limited.

Well, if anything: I'm interested in the financial and logistical side of this plan. Meaning: I'll help with funding and transportation, in return for a part in the gains.

OOC: Well, given that Ide Jima and Akiiryu trust each other about as far as a baby could throw ten bull elephants tied together with shoelaces I think its best that its in neither of our countries.

Well, I don't know if Sevrun will allow it, but I prefer the Harmony Space Center. It's near the coast far from other cities, which makes it:

• safe to launch.
• safe to land (even in sea).
• easy to get goods there, like fuel with tankers. Just image doing this by road..

P.S: I have a space centre ... I know we aren't using it now, but it is the unnamed settlement just south of the dam lake in the northern half of Southern Ide Jima.
