Vision Statement: Link

Desired Location: See Below
Other Critical Information: See Below

Additional City #1: (optional)
Additional City #2: (optional)
Additional City #3: (optional)

Notes and Legends:
I chose the location since @Gotneska is close and historically ruled over this area, which is perfect for my lore. Geographically, it's beneficial for my tribes to live off the lands and regular migrate. Also, I do not know how the area is calculated, so please make sure to tell me how much I can have please.

Yellow dot: Capital city, Dunratus.
Green dots: (Planned) Free cities between Caerlannach and Gotneska.
Red dots: Big, permanent settlement where the tribes can trade for necessities.
All these places are yet to have names, but I am putting it in for future references.

Congratulations on passing the academy! The last step to joining Eurth's canon and community is this:- the map application!

With stats of 2-0-2 population/economy/land area, you can have a national population anywhere between 25 million and just under 35 million. 2 points in land area provides a range of 250,000km^2 to below 450,000km^2. Your land area will be decided as part of the land proposals below, but you will need to choose your own population.

For a Gaelic-Inuit culture, the area surrounding your desired location will be the most fitting. However, I will still be providing a few alternatives alongside your desired location. Once you've picked a location, any neighbours will be given 5 days to provide consent or put their foot in the door to start a dialogue on the necessary changes Caerlannach will need before they can be placed in that location.

If you like a location, but want some of the borders changed, that's also doable as there isn't many countries in Yeetland (currently).

1. Desired Location / Northern Yeetland

With approximately 349,800km^2 (to the nearest 100km^2) your country's climate will be covered by tundra. Your climate would be similar to northern Canada / Siberia. On all of your land borders, you'd be enclosed by highlands (good protection). Your only land neighbour would be Gotneska. Although there isn't any permanent ice along your coastline, during the winter pretty much all of your ports would be frozen over.

2. Western Yeetland

Another option, with an area of roughly 390,400km^2, you can have these cursed borders. It seems a bit ridiculous, but if Caerlannach doesn't have borders (that it itself ascribes to) then it makes sense that your neighbours would want as simple a border as possible to dictate what is theirs and what isn't theirs. Being on Gotneska's western border also makes Caerlannach a great buffer state between Gotneska and the rest of mainland Argis, as well as giving Caerlannach an actual useable coastline for the different tribes to trade through. You'd also have a temperate coastline with extends into the southern river valley.

3. Eastern Yeetland

A mix of proposals 1 & 2. The area would be approximately 256,700km^2. Like proposal 1, your climate would be entirely Tundra (although a bit warmer around the coastline). Also like proposal 1, your borders would be dictated by highlands and mountains. Nice and defensible in case someone wants to try snag a tribe or two. Similar to proposal 2, Caerlannach would have a southern coastline that doesn't freeze over in the winter, and you'd have an extensive river network.

After some considerations, I would like to choose this location, with a small addition to this bit up north, if the size still fits the given rules. I have also changed the location of the capital to fit the new area.

I did a rough check, and the total area of the proposal + your desired additions comes out as ~548,500km^2. Almost 100,000km^2 out of your point range. Below I've made a couple variants of the new desired location:

Location 2b
pA5Laav.png
Land Area = ~435,600km^2

Location 2c

Land Area = ~435,300km^2

Location 2b

This is almost perfect, with some straightening of the borders on the east and west, and it's al dente for me!

Alrighty. All that's left to do if request consent from @Gotneska. They have 5 days (until 08/11/2024) to reply either with consent, requests for changes, or deny placement.

I'd just like to state the following:

1. Gotneska has been a Celtic/ Germanic nation since its formation. Which brings me to this, For as long as I've been in this region I've never had to worry about my Germanic Aspect as my western neighbors have always been nordic and pagan. But now with a purely celtic nation there. Idk how my germanic aspect would come from anymore. Unless @Caerlannach makes major changes to their ethnic groups.

This is how i imagined the region before Caerlannach joined. But that could always be changed.
