The Eurthican Relief and Humanitarian Works Agency (ERHWA) is an international coalition of charities, relief organisations, and humanitarian agencies with a centralised headquarters of operations based in Mavris, although holding many other secondary headquarters' around the glube. Its primary goal is to coordinate and effectively deliver large-scale humanitarian works and vital relief efforts during crises, such as famines or natural disasters, conflicts, and health emergencies. By serving to facilitate cooperation between all member states, charities, and organisations, ERHWA seeks to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of operations aimed at delivering vital humanitarian aid, making sure that those vital resources reach those in need swiftly, equitably, and in an organised manner. ERHWA has many roles which it seeks to accomplish through its members. It seeks to coordinate rapid relief efforts in times of crisis, delivering necessities such as food, water, medical supplies, shelter, and emergency attention to any and all affected populations. It also works as a central hub for that coordination, allowing for the specialisation of certain charities to be put to work most efficiently, and helping to organise the works of foreign nations. The Agency also works with other organisations, both local and international, to ensure the sustainability and continuance of their work, and to ensure stability for the local populace. Finally, it also plans to actively campaign and lobby in the government of member states for additional aid and increased participation, highlighting the importance of inter-state cooperation in the task of delivering aid.

The Eurthican Relief and Humanitarian Works Agency was officially established in Mavran, in the city of Mavris, in 2020, and has since then helped with its goals as stated above. The founding charter of the organisation outlines its core principles of 'Cooperation, Impartiality, and Safekeeping'. Member nations have to pledge to set aside divisive political differences and historical feuds in favour of saving lives and providing such vital humanitarian assistance. The charter also mandates an overarching commitment to transparency, accountability on all levels, and shared governance, where all member states, organisations, and charities have an equal voice in decision-making, helping to protect the organisation against the corruption and embezzlement that so often finds its roots in similar organisations aiming to support those worst off. The charter also emphasises the importance of respecting both international humanitarian law and local law, however clearly states the priority of basic human dignity and rights above both when making decisions regarding peacekeeping, aid distribution, and the local and public use of humanitarian works. To further ensure ethical operations, much of the charter further focuses on the importance of ensuring that the operations of the organisation always aim to mitigate suffering and ensure human dignity.

Recently, the Mavranai Federation has officially joined the ERHWA. By joining the organisation, Mavran has also accordingly changed its budgetary laws and general social and foreign policy attitudes, at least on a governmental level. Before joining the organisation, Mavran spent less than 0.1% of its GDP on foreign aid, however with the new budgetary law changes, Mavran is set to spend a minimum of 2% of its GDP on Foreign Aid, a massive increase that has been afforded by the positive economic situation in Mavran. This move is largely seen as simply a show of goodwill towards the organisation, which will be greatly strengthened by the additional Ɍ10 Billion annually. Additionally, Mavran has sought closer integration with the organisation, opening several new key positions in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to members of the ERHWA, helping coordination between the Mavranai government and the organisation.

All nations that are not in current breach of human rights as set out by the AN are open to joining the organisation and participating in its humanitarian operations. Significant funding towards ERHWA is not the expected norm, however would be certainly appreciated as it would further help to increase its available pool of resources in distributing aid, preserving peace and stability, and completing vital humanitarian works. Similarly, integration between member states and the organisation is not expected, however, would allow for closer cooperation with the organisation and more effective operational capabilities.

The organisation is currently headed by Mr. Markus Vellorn. Mr. Vellorn is also the head of Alliance Sociale (Social Alliance), a charity dealing with poverty in Mavran, and is a second-generation Velaherian immigrant living in Mavran. The head of ERHWA is elected bi-yearly in an open conference of all individual members.

The topic of the ERHWA in Mikochinese politics was a difficult one. The ERHWA, founded during the term of the centralists, was disregarded by the inward Mikochinese government. Whilst Mikochi's membership in the ERHWA is still up for debate with the new SDP government, several charities and organisations within Mikochi have associated themselves with the ERHWA.

Sports for Future / Mirai no Supōtsu

Established during the Mikochinese civil war in 1977, Sports for Future sought to bring communities together by providing access to sports facilities and equipment. The charity believed that access to sports was both important for the development of children and also for the morale of citizens.

Since the end of the civil war, they continue their work by funding public sports centers across the country, and donating equipment to schools, helping to promote sports and physical education. In recent years, Sports for Future has gone international, participating in providing sports infrastructure projects in Aurelia following the Anglian invasion.

Fujimoto Foundation / Fujimoto Zaidan

The Fujimoto Foundation is the philanthropic branch of the automotive giant Fujimoto Corporation. Known for its large-scale charity efforts, it has been involved in funding initiatives ranging from infrastructure development, disaster relief, educational scholarships and medical aid.

The foundation is also responsible for donating its own vehicles to other charities across the wurld. Most recently, the Fujimoto Foundation has been involved in Batsweda, where it has supported the international peace keeping effort in the country.

Journey4Good / Zen no Tabi

Journey4Good was created as a safe, rewarding way for people around the wurld to help communities in need, whilst experiencing new cultures. The charity sponsors volunteers to spend anywhere from 1 to 12 months helping out in various non-crisis areas. Projects range from helping animal rescues, assisting elderly residents, assisting teachers in rural schools, basic agricultural work, to maintaining parks and woodland.

They focus on organising volunteer trips both within Mikochi and abroad, giving people an opportunity to help within a peaceful environment, whilst making a meaningful contribution. Generally, Journey4Good is marketed towards young adults coming out of education, as a way to travel for less, work on their skills and help out.

Kamido Aid Society / Kamido Enjo Kyōkai

The Kamido Aid Society was established by followers of Kamidoism to both spread the good word of Kamidoism and providing community service. Whilst the charity has a religious undertone, and is ultimately sponsored heavily by the Kamido Church, its primary mission is to provide tangible aid to those in need.

The organisation primarily specialises in construction projects in affected areas, including schools, wells and medical centers. Although a bit preachy, it has garnered respect for its consistent and effective charitable work across Mikochi and the wurld.

Bridges of Unity / Daketsu no Kakehashi

Bridges of Unity is an international charity, headquartered in Umikyo, with the goal of fostering glubal cooperation and mutual understanding. The charity focuses on funding skilled volunteers, such as engineers, doctors, teachers and scientists, around the wurld to collaborate on local sustainable projects. These projects range from eco-friendly schools and clinics, to training local communities in more efficient agricultural practices, building renewable energy and water management.

Gotneska would be pleased to announce that the Kingdom would be joining ERHWA.

As an organization that was created to help the poor citizens affected by the horrors of war. Gotneska would like to officially announce that it will be joining said Organization. This is in the best interest of the Gotneskan Government and Gotneskan People.

Gotneska has a long and storied history of offering humanitarian assistance and aid to any nation impacted by war, famine, disease. We as a people do not discriminate against anyone, as we believe we are all Children of God. And it is our mission and responsibility to help those in need.

The first goal we need to address is the current Velaherian Conflict. Gotneska has pledged to stay military neutral in the conflict. But that doesn’t mean we’ve had our fair share of heated discussions with the old regime, which should go unnamed.

We would like to announce that the following organizations and Government departments will be offering to help in the ERHWA.

Þjóðvarðar Neyðarsjóð (National Relief Fund)

Founding of the National Relief Fund

In the summer of 1870, during the latter stages of the **Northern Provinces War**, a brutal conflict between the Kingdom of Gotneska and a coalition of rebellious northern provinces, the battle of **Víðárdalur** marked a turning point. This battle, fought over the strategic control of the river valley, resulted in devastating casualties on both sides. Thousands of soldiers and civilians lay dead or severely wounded as a result of the fierce combat that ravaged the countryside.

Among the aftermath, **Eldís Ívarsdóttir**, a noblewoman who had been traveling as a field nurse, witnessed the catastrophic lack of medical aid and relief for the suffering. Despite her aristocratic status, Eldís had long been involved in grassroots humanitarian work, but the scale of the carnage overwhelmed the local capacities for care. She knew that something greater was needed—a national effort to provide for the wounded, the widows, and the displaced.

After returning to the capital, Eldís began organizing a group of like-minded nobles, doctors, and philanthropists to create a nationwide fund. On **October 2, 1870**, the **National Relief Fund (Þjóðvarðar Neyðarsjóð)** was officially established. The organization's mission was to provide immediate medical care, food, and housing to those affected by war. Eldís traveled across the kingdom, garnering support from provincial leaders, securing donations from wealthy patrons, and rallying volunteers.

Eldís's leadership and vision helped the fund quickly gain recognition. It established field hospitals, supply chains, and refugee shelters in war-torn regions. Her efforts were so impactful that by the war's end in 1872, the National Relief Fund had become a permanent institution in Gotneska, ready to mobilize for future conflicts and disasters.

Over time, the fund expanded its operations, focusing on health and social care even during peacetime. Eldís Ívarsdóttir's legacy endured, and she became an icon of compassion and resilience, often called **“The Shieldmaiden of Mercy.”**

Guild of Human Liberation (Mannfrelsis Gilda)

Commonly Known as Guild of Saint Birgitta.

The **Guild of Human Liberation**, founded in **1224**, is the oldest known humanitarian organization in the Kingdom of Gotneska. It arose during a time of deep religious devotion, war, and plague, when the most vulnerable members of society—the sick, disabled, and dying—were often neglected. Established by a coalition of Christian monks, priests, and nobles, the guild’s mission was to reflect the teachings of Christ by providing care and dignity to those in need.

Rooted in Christian charity, the guild's motto was based on **Matthew 25:40**: **“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”** This guiding principle of service led the founders to organize shelters and hospitals, known as **“Mercy Houses”** (**Miskunn Hús**), across Gotneska, offering medical care, food, and spiritual comfort.

The central institution of the guild, the **House of Saint Birgitta**, was established in the capital in **1229** and became a place of healing, not only for the body but for the soul. The building housed both a chapel and a hospital, where monks and nuns provided compassionate care to the sick and dying, believing their service was a direct reflection of Christ's work on Eurth.

During the 14th century, the guild expanded its operations to support those impacted by war and famine, providing refuge and care for wounded soldiers, widows, and orphans. Their influence grew after receiving royal patronage from King Eiríkur III  in 1297 when the crown recognized the guild’s essential work during times of crisis. This recognition allowed the guild to build Saint Michael’s Sanctuary, a prominent hospital near the royal court, which became synonymous with healing and mercy.
