The Ministry of Road and Urban Development approves the Yadinah-Tall Fayala highway.

The Ministry of Road and Urban Development announced on Monday of it's decision to approve a project to upgrade the road between Yadinah and Tall-Fayala into a six lane highway, in an effort to increase traffic between the two cities and to place the capital into a more central position in the national road network. Previously the two cities has been connected by a simple two lane road that had been noticeably neglected for the past two decades, aswell as a significantly larger detour through a highway to Qula and from there to An Ralad.

This project is part of a larger project introduced in 1436 (2014AD), which aims to centralize Yadinah's place in the state's road network and to revitalize the connection of the major cities across the country. The project gained popularity within the Salamist Republic, with the finishing of the Yadinah-Qula highway four years ago, which made a visible impact to the economy rather quickly, noticeably increasing the traffic to the capital city, when before the capital city was largely sidelined, with most of the traffic heading to Zatha, which acted as a central city for the road network.

Discussions for the Yadinah-Tall Fayala highway began last year and lasted up until the end of the last year. Discussions involved the planning for the route of the highway, construction costs and expected results the highway would bring. It was on this Monday that the Ministry of Road and Urban Development finally approved the finalized plan and is expected to allocate a significant portion of its portion for the highway construction for the next 5 years, although the construction itself is expected to be finished by early next year.
