Overview

The Office of External Relations (Stillian: Oficina de Relaciones Exteriores) is the official channel for diplomatic missions and government communications internationally. The Office of External Relations is a component of the Directorate of the President of Aurora (Stillian: Directorio del Presidente de Aurora), the collective body responsible for advising the Auroran president. The stated mission of the Office of External Relations is to: further Auroran interests abroad; to form diplomatic relationships with and establish an avenue of effective communication between itself and foreign governments; and to effectively serve as the Auroran government's vessel for issuing official statements on the state of glubal affairs. For most of Aurora's recent history, the government has adopted a foreign policy of neutrality and nonparticipation in glubal issues and affairs. However, this traditional policy has since shifted in the last decade, as Aurora seeks to embed itself in the web of glubal affairs.

OOC Notes:

  • The idea for creating a form to catalogue my embassies and diplomatic status with all y'all comes from @Hangoku's own Diplomatic Request Form. I also used his form as a reference for the contents of my questionnaire. All credit for this idea goes to him.
  • If your country has at least one consulate within Aurora, then the location of first will be determined by the region where your country is from:
    • Catalina: Aurelia, Thalassa, & Alharu
    • Ashbourne: Argis
    • Santa Petra: Europa & Marenesia
  • If your country has more than one consulate within Aurora, then you can choose a location from the major cities section of my IIWiki page. There's also a map to reference.
  • You aren't required to fill out this questionnaire. It is assumed by default that your country recognizes Aurora and vice versa unless stated otherwise. This is simply to keep track of embassies, embassadors, and essentially who and where I would be addressing in any diplomatic dialogue.
