Construction High-speed railway line Taranto - Ornsvot

Summary: Rete Ferroviaria Ionica is looking for construction companies to work in partnership with Ionian construction companies to build the Taranto - Ornsvot high-speed railway

The approval of the high-speed railway project will finally complete the coastal high-speed railway. The project will be divided into 3 sections and each section will have an Ionian construction company as a partner to complete the section. The total cost of the project is Auro 6,234,123,567, which is allocated as follows

Because of the three sections, the cost per section was calculated by doing a division by 3 of the total cost, so each section will have a total cost of 2,078,041,189 Auro. The total cost of the section will be divided into two in order to pay the construction companies and thus the construction company will receive 1,039,020,594 Auros from RFI.

The payment will be made in 6 installments starting from the beginning of construction until the completion and opening of the operation of the work. The cost of each installment is 173,170,099 Auros.

Section 1: Taranto-Torre dell'Orso

Ionian Construction Company Partner: PHONEIX CONSTRUCTION

Track length: 285 Km

The route is developed in a prevelantly flat area with the presence of hills. The construction of the Chiatona high-speed station is planned in the route. Below are some rendering images of the station.

The project includes the construction of interchanges between the historic line and the high-speed line.  The project also includes the renovation and modernization of the Torre dell'Orso station. Here are some pictures of the new part of the railway station dedicated to high-speed trains

Ionian Construction Company Partner: LEO CONSTRUCTION

Track length: 285 Km

The route is on a flat stretch and is crossed by the Adria and Volturno rivers indicating the construction of railway bridges. This sectioni involves upgrading the Tropea station

Ionian Construction Company Partner: FAVIGLIA CONSTRUCTION

Track length: 285 Km

The route is developed on the plain, so no complex works are planned except for the stations. The project involves the construction of a new railway station in Galdurmar. Below are renderings of the new Galdurmar train station.

To conclude, Ornsvot station undergoes modernization to accommodate high-speed trains.

 

Requirements to participate 

 

Interested construction companies must submit formal documentation showing their recent infrastructure projects, a report on site safety, environmental management at their construction sites as well as the working condition of their personnel.  Interested companies must submit their applications no later than 27 February
