Erdland
A stormy night in Asgalstat, the bay fog entered the city in the darkness – bright lights shining through the fog. Party billboards lined up the highways, and the sides of apartments were painted by paintings of Erdlandish history and politicians – from the EPP of course. An unmarked van drove through the streets, passing by dozens of shops that were closed for the night. A Visag Elak, a common van within Erdland from Visag, the state-owned vehicle manufacturer. Inside the van, a group of five men sat, clenching rifles and donning uniforms. Nothing on the uniforms said anything about them, but they had the aura of important people – officials of the state. One spoke up. "What's the deal with this guy?" He asked, confused about their mission. "Did you not read the briefing, dumbass?" One officer responded, whether it was jokingly or seriously couldn't be discerned. He grabbed a paperclip laying next to him and flipped the page, reading off of the next page. "Spreading of anti-State Sentiment, Political Opposition, yada yada - it's the usual deal, Karl." Karl looked at the officer. "Don't blame me, this job is boring most of the time." "Then why did you sign up for it?" Another officer asked. "Privilege and money, duh." Karl responded. "That's a boring excuse." The officer responded, he was cut off by another officer. "Alright, alright, shut up. We're getting close to the home. Ready up." The van drove past a suburban gate, driving through the suburban streets as it passed houses and houses. A middle-class neighborhood, quite a sight to see. Families had their Visags parked in the driveway, you could see the Erdlandish flag fluttering in the wind – whether they were lucky or members of the party is not really important, they get it made in Erdland. The van made a turn, and pulled up into the driveway of a house, blocking a parked car. The side doors of the van swung open as the officers got out, walking towards the front door. They ringed. They ringed again. They banged the door. They banged the door again. No response. They banged the door another time. No response. "State Security Service, open the door this instant." State Security Service. What terrible words, a name you don't want to hear. The secret police of Erdland. "Open the door immediately, this is an investigation." The officer shouted. No response still. They went with Plan B – kicking down the door. The officers backed up as their strongest man readied a kick of god. 1. 2. 3. He kicked the door, destroying the hinges – the door fell, and the officers entered the house, rifles raised, throwing everything onto the floor looking for the man. They climbed the stairs to the second story, walking through a hallway decorated by family portraits and frames. They arrived to the end, the master bedroom. "Alright, I'm getting bored with this." An officer said before kicking the door wide open, entering the room to see a man cowering behind the bed. He raised his hands. "Don't shoot! Please! I didn't do anything!" The officers walked towards him, rifles aiming at his forehead. "Get down on the floor, mate. Your life is as over now." An officer went to the man who was now cowering on the floor, arms and legs spread out, arresting him. "Someone's won a lucky trip to a center." The officer chuckled, making fun of the man's demise. 7 Link to comment
