The Greater Nation of Erdland

Rule by fist, is the principle of Erdland. The Erdlandish people and lands have been ruled for over 30 years by the Erdlandish People's Party, a far-right political party that maintains an ideology and mission statement of interventionism, nationalism, and statism. The relatively sized nation is a totalitarian nightmare by the definition of some, as the EPP maintains control of the population through extensive surveillance, secret police, and Draconian punishment. In Erdland's biggest cities, public housing projects cover the horizon as thousands of Erdlanders are unable to find proper employment due to EPP incompetence and decide to live off the state instead. Outside the urban dwellings, the beautiful countryside is disrupted by signs of early uprisings and roaming armed police and military. 

And within the halls of governance, the pillars are starting to let go as the EPP suffers internal factionalism, decadence, corruption, and incompetence. A reformist camp currently in charge try to juggle with the factions of hardliners, militarists, security community, and et cetera. Whether they can continue to hold power and stability within the party — there is yet an answer.
