Prologue

The Austamerian Kingdom has peacefully coexisted with the Europan nations for centuries. After the civil war, Kings main agenda was the economical and social reconstruction and promotion of peace across the regions. He out of all understood very well the consequences his people had to pay to enjoy the smallest bite of peace and freedom.

Austamerians aren’t known to be aggressive, but like any pack, the alpha male defines its people. King Sorgo is reaching his 70th birthday, he is a man of principles, love and a promoter of peace. While King Sorgo is widely respected and loved by his people, his son Crown Prince Julio, who is thirty-two years old, is the polar opposite of his father in terms of diplomatic approach. This difference has caused power friction within the Kingdom.

Julio is a tall and athletic man, standing at 5'11 inches. He has a lean build, with short brown hair and piercing green eyes. He carries himself with confidence and authority, and often wears a stern expression on his face.

He is a charismatic and ambitious individual, with a strong desire to make his mark on the wurld. He is passionate about the prosperity and strength of the Austamerian Kingdom, and believes that it is his duty to ensure that his nation is not overlooked or overshadowed by its neighbors. He is a skilled orator and a persuasive speaker, capable of swaying the opinions of those around him. However, he can also be stubborn and impulsive at times, and has a tendency to act before thinking things through.

Crown Prince Julio is sympathetic to his people and the Austamerian cause, but he is widely known for his critiques of the peaceful path his father has chosen. The Royal court is often a spectator of the power struggle between father and son, with one lecturing the other on how the nation should be run.

This power friction has divided the royals and generals alike, causing many to choose a side they support and believe is the righteous path for the Kingdom. The ones who support the peaceful existence of Austameria, and those who stand by Crown Prince Julio's ideology of Austamerian powerhouse within the North Europan region.

Many old veterans of the civil war believe that if the Kingdom is to prosper, it is to enter a period of isolationism while the younger generation of noblemen and military commanders believe otherwise. Julio has always been more hawkish, believing that Austameria needs to assert itself more forcefully in the region to secure its future.

It was during an early Austamerian spring at the Mountastocio Castle where the Crown Prince resided. As per his usual routine every spring, he ordered the Royal Household to open all castle windows to let in the fresh morning smell of Austamerian Pine trees infuse the enormous castle with its rich aroma. Looking out of the window of his office, the ice within the sweet pine tea clinks. Right after that, a knock can be heard on the door.

“Your Highness… General Russo Fallunocci has arrived as per your request…” says the courtier on the opposite side of the door. “Very well, bring him in”, responded the Crown Prince.

General Russo Fallunocci, the General of the Royal Army of Austameria, is one of the few loyal supporters of the Prince. He comes from a family with a long history of military service in the Kingdom of Austameria. Many decorated and well-remembered officers, soldiers, and guerrilla fighters against the communist regime. He was born and raised in Soltranto, the capital city of the Kingdom.

Russo was a top student in school and showed a strong aptitude for strategy and leadership. After completing his military training, Russo quickly rose through the ranks, thanks to his talent and hard work. He can sometimes come across as impatient and overly aggressive in his approach to decision-making. This can sometimes lead to friction with others who prefer a more measured and diplomatic approach.

Unlike many of his predecessors, General Russo is a firm believer in the idea that the Kingdom cannot simply rely on peaceful coexistence and diplomacy alone to protect its interests. He advocates for a more proactive approach to foreign policy, one that seeks to influence events in the region and project the Kingdom's power beyond its borders.

Three knocks are heard coming through the other side of the heavy door made out of Austamerian Pine. “Come in”, says Prince Julio as he stares out of the window, staring at the vast pine trees in the distance as they dance in the wind.

The door slowly creaks as the courtier opens the door for the General, slowly stepping inside and turning his attention towards the Prince, bowing respectfully. “Your Highness, It’s an honour to see you. I hope your health is fairing you well,” says Russo.

"It fairs me well… Thank you Russo. Now, shall we begin?” Prince Julio responds as he holds his hands behind his back, slowly turning around, staring at Russo with a stern look.
