An unexpected meeting

5:30 P.M, November 20, 2019

It was a cold day in Parsa, and snow was on its way. Queen Nadia was on her way to the Velaherian embassy to hold a trade agreement with the Velaherian Supreme Leader. As the snow began to fall, Queen Nadia V arrived at the embassy.
 

As Nadia entered the embassy, she was greeted by someone who definitely wasn’t the Supreme Leader of Velaheria.

"I am Ketriaz Von Sternburg. I am the Velaherian Ambassador; sorry, but the Supreme Leader was not able to be here. "He sends his regards."

"What a shame, oh well." Anyway, let’s talk business. "I just hope next time I’m informed beforehand."

They made their way to the conference room and sat down. The snow was really starting to pick up, and a snow storm alert was issued.

"Well, ambassador, we just received a snow storm alert." "Depending on how long this takes, we might be stuck here for a couple hours."

"What do you mean?" I thought that Garindina was always prepared for snow.

"We are, but when these alerts are issued, it means there’s going to be a couple meters of snow." It's probably going to be a couple meters.

"I see."

As talks went on, the snow fell. By the time the talks were over, the snow was too high to drive in, and the snowplows were being dispatched to the area. They were snowed in.

"Well, we’re snowed in; I say it’s going to be a good hour and a half before it’s clear."

"So much for Garindinan readiness for snow."

And like that, Nadia let out a little laugh.

"Yeah, we do need to fix that." One of many things that need fixing "But as rebuilding is practically over, I could start implementing some reforms." 

"You should start with snow."

"Yeah."

Their conversation went on for hours. By the time the snow was gone, they were like good friends. As Nadia was about to leave, Ketriaz asked her something she would never forget.

"How about we go get a drink sometime?" "I've heard good things about Garindinan beer."

She stood there astonished, not fully comprehending what had just happened. Wanting to be polite, Queen Nadia accepted.
