History: The Kingdom of Renolion (pronounced Reno-Lee-On) founded in 1687, is best defined as a nation created by necessity of cooperation. In the north, the fertile soil provided appropriate conditions for large fertile harvests, and in the south, the sea provided access to neighboring nations and their resources. These two halves were unified under the rule of King Resvichesko I, who through conversation with local officials and religious leaders secured his position through diplomacy rather then a bloody conquering spree. The unification of the North and South saw the nation begin to properly develop, the north feeding the south, and the south paying the north. This system of cooperation would led to the birth of a sense of national brotherhood, forming the early concepts of the Renolion identity.

By the 1850's this sense of brotherhood had further developed as the industrial revolution further connected the two halves of the nation, long winding rail lines and horse roads stretching around the nation and providing easier access to the fields and natural resources of the north, and to the grand harbors and factories of the south. This time is widely regarded as the most peaceful time in the history of the Kingdom, with trade flourishing. However, this era wasn't without issues, as the foundations of organized crime within the nation began to be laid, with large train robbing gangs organizing raids and others creating illegal moonshining operations. In the 1870's, new ideas began to float around the Kingdom, ranging from conversion to a republic to the establishment of an absolute monarchy. As a compromise between the two sides, it was decided that a parliament would be created to allow for the public discourse of ideas, which then could be approved or denied by the Monarch

1919 was a messy time for the Kingdom, as crime families continued to further extend their power over smaller towns and communities, the Royal Army found itself playing a game of whack-a-mole. They'd eliminate the problem in one place for it to only spring up next door. Additionally, the establishment of the Communist Party would see a further divide in the politics of the Parliament and the nation. This division however was short lived, as in 1922 a protest held in the industrial city of Pizati would boil over into a riot. This was quickly suppressed by local Army units, but it would see the nation's opinion of communism permanently in the negative and it's eventually banning in 1926. From 1930 to 1990, the nation would remain largely unchanged, only encountering the occasional labour reform or small shootout between crime families. As of today the nation remains in the constant battle against organized crime, and with the ever growing problem of drugs in the urbanized areas of the country, the government finds itself ever busy trying to keep things under control.

Hello and congratulations on passing the academy, the last step to joining the Eurth canon is your map application. So without delay lets get onto that!

Your stats are good, they add up to 4 points or less, with 1 point in land giving you a land area range of 90,000km^2 to 260,000km^2.

Climate and geography
Below is a map of all available Mediterranean climate:
As you can see there isn't much left, however there is some close to your desired location as well as other areas which could fit your nation. Your current desired location would give you a subtropical climate.

This one is a bit more difficult, as our Slavic ethnicities (From your front desk) and our Italian ethnicities are very separate:

See how both these ethnicities are an ocean away from one another, it would be difficult to have them interact far in the past to justify your history. However your history could work through your italian groups colonialising a part of Argis, as Europa has had a habit of colonising Argis in the past, or you could have your nation be the product of two colonies merging together.

Below I have selected 5 areas which I think could fit your country, please choose the one (or none) that you feel is the best for your nation, then we can discuss the finer details such as city placement and border tweaks on Discord or in the Forum messaging system.

1) Eastern Byzantine Sea
Coming in at 223,100km^2, your country would have a an entirely Mediterranean climate though your topography is quite flat, with only some highlands across the centre of the nation. You would border Mahana (a Nepalese nation) and the other two main Italian nations of Mantella and Cristina, with Feldora and Orioni nearby. This does mean you're at the crossroads between our Romance Europe and South Asia - perhaps you could do something interesting with that as a substitute for Slavic?

2) Central Byzantine Sea

Very similar to your desired location, at 110,600km^2 your country would have long hot and humid summers and hot, dry, winters with most of your rain coming in as thunderstorms from the Byzantine Sea. You would have more mountainous terrain in the north which sharply transitions into a hot steppe as humidity falls off with the increasing elevation of the country. You would border Feldora (our Portugese nation member) and Cristina (an ex-territory of Mantella, our resident Italian NPC). Like before, it would be hard to justify Slavic presence in your nation due to the distances involved in the time period and the colonial patterns at the time.

3) Aurelia #1

With how the member cap works changing in the next update, there will be an extra member slot for Aurelia ripe for the taking. At 141,700km^2 you would be between Louvier (a French colony), Anatea (a Mantella/Italian colony) and north of the Ruthenian Nations (a collection of Slavic colonies) putting you in the perfect spot for Slavic and Italian colonies to merge. Your climate would be homogenously Mediterranean with mountainous terrain across the centre of your nation.

4) Aurelia #2
If you would prefer more breathing room, you can jump around Louvier to this location. With 117,000km^2 of land area your nation would still be Mediterranean (with it gradually becoming temperate along your border) with your southern half of your country being low mountains / highlands.

5) Synthe Sea
My personal favourite, at 218,100km^2 you would be sandwiched between Porto Greco (an Italian-Greek colony)'s two territories. Combined with Slavic colonists from Argis and you'd have hit pretty much all but Albanian on the Adriatic Sea checklist. Your climate would be humid subtropical (very similar to your desired location's climate) with mountains to your west.
