Aendoan To Create First National Armored Fighting Team, the Aendoan Raiders

When your average Aendoan thinks of sports, they think of a sport like soccer where you kick a ball, or wrestling where you pin your opponent down with strength and skill, however, not many Aendoanians think of clashing swords and medieval knight armor when it comes to sports. However, with an new emerging sport known simply as "Armored Fighting", many people's dreams of wearing a suit of armor and beating someone on the head with a mace may actually come to pass. The Technocracy has moved to create Aendoan's first national armored fighting team, known as the Aendoan Raiders. These fighters can be told apart by their red white and blue colors, as well as the classical Aendoan Crow. The team will be assembled by team captain Retomarus Wijma, the former captain of a notorious Aendoan team known as the Coppercutters, a team which as one several tournaments the last six years. The Technocracy has stated that the team will be fully formed within the following months as contestants test their medal to join the team. The team captain Retomarus Wijma says that he is looking forward to leading Aendoan modern knights to victory during their first international championship.

 

Aendoan Military Budget Set to Increase To 40 year High, Aendoic Military Ill Equipped for Modern Challenges as of Now

For many decades, despite our geographical location, Aendoan has enjoyed a long streak of peace and prosperity. However, the times continue to change as Aendoan become more involved with foreign counterparts, and times continue to change and become uncertain, many have become to question if Aendoan has become too weak to match the times. With wars raging across the wurld and within Argis, extremist groups began to rise, and particular nations become more of a concern upon the international stage, the Aendoic Military has become notoriously underfunded and unprepared. With the rise of extremism and nationalism within Argis the Technocracy has numerous debates on how to overhaul the Aendoic military to equip it to handle the challenges of the modern age. The Technocracy has release a statement that they plan to increase the military budget by at least 20%, much of the funding will be put towards modernizing it's naval and aerial technology, as well as upgrading it's communications systems, military equipment, and recruitment. The Technocracy has released a statement that it plans to boost recruitment and military growth by half within the next few years, and will be working on providing incentives to join the armed forces to encourage more Aendoic youth to enlist. It is unknown if these new military units will ever see actual combat, in fact, it is very unlikely, however, Aendoan must be prepared if the threat ever arrived.
