Your Excellency,

Tagmatium is always keen to expand relations with all of the nations of Eurth and none so more than the Federal Republic of Littland. Although the countries of central Argis have little in the way of direct contact with Tagmatium, and our nations are on different continents, this is not the stumbling block for relations that it may once have been. Indeed, there does not seem to be any reason that these relations could not become closer and more fruitful in time.

It can be admitted that the lands around the Amber Lake are somewhat of an unknown factor to my government – as stated above, my nation is always willing to open relations with other nations – but there are few around that lake that Tagmatium could be considered close to. This is certainly in remiss of the Greater Holy Empire, as no part of the wurld deserves to be overlooked or considered unimportant. As well as that, it cannot be doubted that friendship with Tagmatium could bring a lot to the Federal Republic. My nation is amongst the most prominent nations on Eurth, with a history reaching back thousands of years, and one of the foremost economies on our wurld as well. And I am equally sure that Littland can bring a lot to any friendship between our two nations.

Due to this, and the hope that this is the start of a long and great friendship between our nations, the Holy Imperial Government therefore requests that our nations establish diplomatic contact. Ideally, this should take the form of an exchange of embassies between our nations. The people of Tagmatium and Littland have much to learn from each other and this can be the start of it. Whilst there is clearly much different about our nations – not just the fact that our nations are on different continents or the difference in size – this fact should do nothing more than enable our to find reasons for a complimentary friendship.

May it please God that our nations have lasting peace and prosperity.

Littland reciprocates the feeling of the need for friendly and open relation for all of Eurth and is happy for Tagmatium to have reached out to us in this regard. Central Argis, while being geographically and culturally distant, is not so distant in our modern age of high-speed uplinks and satellite communications, our quest for peace is no longer bound by the physical limitations of old. Tagmatium might at the current time look at Amber Lake and see no nations to call close that will soon change in the future. Be it through trade, cultural exchanges and hopefully our newfound diplomatic relation, I am sure our two nations will only grow closer.

The Federal Cabinet has started the process for the establishment of an embassy in the capital of Kaslund in the near future. Once appropriate comfort has been assured, the highest of security is established and the best possible location acquired. We hope for this to be the beginning of a long and strong friendship between not only two nations but two people.

Your Excellency,

I am grateful for your swift and positive reply. It shows that the Republic of Littland is a forward thinking nation, and one that looks to future opportunities and trade links with other nation – which is something that our nations should certainly discuss at a future date. Although trade with the nations of the Amber Lake is not something that my government has been openly reinforcing at the moment, it would be foolish for the Holy Imperial Government to ignore. I am sure that Littland could be the gateway to the area that Tagmatium has hitherto found itself lacking.

As well as that, I have taken the liberty in discussing a suitable candidate for the role of ambassador in Littland with my nation's diplomatic service. The person selected is Eudokia Tzotzaina. Whilst this position as ambassador to your nation would represent the first time that Eudokia Tzotzaina has held an ambassadorial post, my government has every faith in her ability to adequately represent Tagmatium, as well as serve in that role to the satisfaction of your government.

A suitable chancery for Littland's embassy in Tagmatika, the political capital of the Greater Holy Empire has been discussed with the authorities of that city. As with the Tagmatine chancery in your nation, security is one of the key concerns – although Tagmatium is a safe nation, this safety is not maintained by letting our guard down. In time, as our nations' relations grow closer, perhaps we can also discuss the opening of consulates in Europatorion, the economic capital of my nation, and Aroma, the cultural capital.

With God's blessing, this is but the start of a relationship between our nations that provides betterment for not just the people of Littland and Tagmatium, but all Eurth.

Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Littland has for too long been allowing foreign participators in the Baltica Conflict access to Littish infrastructure networks. We hoped these would allow for quicker deployment of humanitarian aid to the region to help minimize civilian suffering and shortages of essential goods such as medications, food and clothing. Littland has however seen this access exploited for military purposes and as such Littland hereby closes its borders, airspace and infrastructure to military movements. Humanitarian aid will still be allowed through, although shipments and pass throughs will not be monitored closely. This immediately affects nations already involved in the conflict with military logistics going through Littland such as: @Ateenia, @Rhodellia and @DPR Velaheria.
