Greetings all, I'm new around here. So far everything is looking interesting, I was considering making a developing capitalist technocracy by the name of Aendoan. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hello!

Welcome to Eurth!

A capitalist technocracy would be a great addition to Eurth.

If you have any questions, please ask!

I thought it would be an interesting concept to bring into the wurld. I'll let you know if I'm confused about something.

I do have one question, is there anything about culture groups I should know about? I don't know which ones I want to pick.

Yes, there are different cultural groups but they're fairly widely placed.

German-, Scandinavian- and Slavic-inspired cultures tend to be in central Argis, whilst Celtic-inspired ones are in eastern Argis. But there are also Germanic nations in Europa, as well as what approaches our England analogue.

Asian-themed nations tend to be around the rim of the Oriental Ocean (which I think was something of accidental decision), but there are examples of those cultures on the western coasts of the Adlantic Ocean, as well as the Adisi Ocean.

Europa tends to have more of the other "Old wurld" cultural groups, but equally Alharu has some semitic ones. Our Rome equivalent is in Europa, as are African-like nations.

Aurelia is kind of Native American but has lots of immigrants from both Europa and Argis; the native populations weren't exterminated but remain strong and often there are significant conflicts.

Basically, you can pick and choose a lot and we can probably find a place for you in your desired location, once you graduate from the Academy. Or some alternatives that suit you.

A lot of this comes from the fact that Eurth has been going on a long time and initial policies for map locations weren't based on cultural groups but what people thought were cool places for their nations. We've had to rationalise things after the fact and try to make sense of what we have :P

I hope that has answered your question. If not, I can try to clarify things more.

That all sounds very interesting, think I got a better idea of what I'm doing.

Hello @Zotriara and welcome to Eurth!

I saw you have already completed your front desk, your vision statement, and your RP extract.

So that the staff team can adequately respond to your vision statement and RP extract, providing you with feedback, and so we can vote for you whether or not to join Eurth's canon, could you please join the Discord linked here.

No problem, will the response and so on happen through the server or through pms?
