Xio
Hello, and congratulations on passing the academy. Time for the home stretch: getting on the map.Climate & Culture Regarding climate and culture, below is a map of Japanese and English (as a substitute for 'British') cultures, and a map of temperate climates. Blue = English language Dark Blue = Anglia, homeland of the English Red = Japanese language Blue = Temperate climate Green = Oceanic climate From what I can gleam from your application, it was your British culture that first arrived on your modern day nation through colonisation, after which came the Japanese culture through colonialism. The Japanese culture closest to you (@Kori Chi) was initially settled by @Mito as a colony. If you were to have a Japanese presence in your desired location, it would most likely have to come from Mito's colonisation of southern Marenesia. As for British presence, Gallambria or Anglia would be your best bets. If you were to instead have your nation somewhere in eastern Europa (top right continent) or Thalassa (Pacific ocean analogue) you could dictate the movement of your Japanese people however you deem fit, as the Thalassan islands were largely settled by Japonic groups and the Marenesians akin to the Polynesian colonisation of the Pacific. However this would require a drastically smaller land area due to Thalassa largely being made up of small to mid-sized islands. These are all suggestions, of course, but it would be good to iron out who were your colonial masters before choosing one of the proposals below:1. Desired Location / Southern Marenesia Following your desired location, you would have a land area of 316,700km^2. It has both oceanic and continental climate, next to Japanese and Anglo nations.2. Europa Coming in at 311,700km^2, this area wouldn't necessitate a British colonial power, as it could've been initially colonised by the same Germanic groups crossing over from Argis into Northern Europa around the end of the classical era that produced Anglia and Volsci. For a Japanese colonial power, it could come from Fubukino elites and migrants from when Volcsi had a large land-based empire. Drawbacks are that its only a continental climate, and that you would be in the direct path of the historic Volsci empire (Volsci being a gothic / east Germanic nation) as well as the borderlands of the Aroman Empire (our version of the Roman Empire). You would also need to handwave a lot of the initial ""English"" migrants from the classical era with no France to modify the language to its modern day form. 6 Link to comment
Capponia
Thanks Xio and sorry for the late reply! Interesting idea for the 2nd location, i've never thought it would fit in europa, despite the great idea i stay with the 1st option, is fine for me, if the neighbours and the staff agrees with that, obviously. 5 Link to comment
Xio
All that's required now is consent from @Kori Chi and @Gallambria for proximity, and @Mito for being the closest Japanese homeland. They'll have a week to provide consent (15/05/2022), if not consent will be implied through apathy. 6 Link to comment
