Welcome to the official news page reporting on the Gotnekan National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for short (GNOAA).
 

Our department responsible for holding weather is the Gotneskan Royal Weather Agency for short (GRWA or RWA)

This forum will be home to all things weather related and or space. We hear love what we do and take our jobs very seriously. As the general public looks to use to make sure they have the most reliable and accurate weather forecast. So everyone can make good decisions on what they will do.

The weather forecast for the capital region. It is good from today Sunday February 13th and expires on Saturday February 19th.spacer.png

 

This week is going to another very cold week ahead for the capital region. As a another round of winter storms are going to make there way east. We are expecting anywhere from 50 mm on they low end up to 177 mm on the maximum. We in courteous that everyone wear appropriate clothes for this weeks weather. And anyone working outdoors please follow your company’s cold weather guidelines. 
 

The week in detail.

Sunday February 13th

Snow showers possible with measurements between 12 to 19 mm of snow possible. High near -1, with a low near -17. Chance of precipitation is 30%. 

 

Monday February 14th

Mostly cloudy, high near 1, and a low near -14. Chance of precipitation is 10%. Greatest chance of precipitation is in the morning hours generally before sunrise.


Tuesday February 15th

Party Cloudy skies, high near 3, and low near -12. Clouds should start building back into the region by 18:00 and precipitation chances will gradually  increase from 0% for most of the day to around 15% by midnight.

 

Wednesday February 16th

Cloudy skies, high near -2, and low near -19. Chance of precipitation is 20%, chance of snow will greatly increase the farther west/ inland for the region. At this time a Winter Storm Watch has been issued. 

 

Thursday February 17th

Snow showers possible with measurements between 38 to 50  mm of snow possible, high near -3, and low near -18. Chance of precipitation is 40%. At this time a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for most of the capital region a Gale Waring will also be issued for the east coast of Gotneska.

 

Friday February 18th

Snow showers with  measurements between 78 to 101 mm of snow possible, high near -1 and low near -16. Chance of precipitation is 46%.  At this time a Weather Storm Waring maybe issued. The Gale Warning issued on Feb 17th will still be in affect for the coastline of Gotneska.

 

Saturday February 19th

Snow Showers measurements between 88 to 124 mm of snow possible, high near -3 and low near -17.  Chance of precipitation is 80%. At this time a Weather Storm Waring maybe issued. The Gale Warning issued on Feb 17th will still be in affect for the coastline of Gotneska.

Breaking News Blizzard Warning issue for Most of North Region/ JÖR. The warning doesn’t include the city of Jörðlæk. The warning will expire at 17:00 Monday February 14, 2022.

Official Forcast for the Capital Region, Læniguëil. This forecast is good from Sunday 27 March to  Saturday 2 April 2022.

Sunday: 27th  March

Mostly Cloudy, high near 4, with a low around 2. Chance of precipitation is 20%, chance of snow will greatly increase the farther west/ inland for the region.

Monday: 28th March

Party Cloudy, high near 5, with a low around 0. Chance of precipitation is 10%, but night fall will increase to around 40%, chance of rain/snow mix mainly for the coastal/ lowlands. More Snow for hignland regions. Est. totals less then 10mm.

Tuesday: 29th March

Rain/ Snow Mix, measurements between 22 to 46 mm of rain/ snow possible. high near 5, with a low around -2, Chance of precipitation is 90%. Winter Weather Advisory's are likely to be issued.

Wednesday: 30th March (Happy  Éadjós)

Party Cloudy, high near 5, with a low around -1, Chance of precipitation is 10%. Sunset is forecasted to be around 7:55 pm or (19:55). Please remember to dress warm.

Thursday: 31st March

Mostly Cloudy, high near 4, with a low around -3. Chance of precipitation is 10%.

Friday: 1st April
Party Cloudy then becoming cloudy by 3pm and chance of rain by 9pm. high near 4, with a low around -2. Chance of precipitation is 15% and will gradually increase to 60% by nightfall. 

Saturday: 2nd April

Rain/ Snow Mix, measurements between 44 to 79 mm of rain/ snow possible. high near 5, with a low around -1, Chance of precipitation is 100%. A Winter Storm Watch will likely to be issued.

Update for today and Tuesday. A winter storm watch has been issued and will be affect from 06:00 Tuesday morning to 09:00 Wednesday morning.

With the changing weather pattern we have once again updated our forecast for 30 March to 1 April.

Wednesday: 30th March (Happy  Éadjós)

Wednesday in our latest forecast is looking much colder then oringally predicted. With the daytime high of 2°C, and overnight low of -4°C. The biggest change is just how windy it will be. Sustained winds of 21 to 30 knots, with gusts up to 39 Knots. This will create  Wind Chill values during the day -5 to -6°C is possible, but once the sunsets values will drop very quickly creating dangers Wind Chill Values between -13°C & -15°C. So we causation anyone spending time outside please Wear the right clothing and if you get cold go indoors to rewarm your body. Sunset will be 7:55 pm (19:55).

 

At this time a Winter Storm Watch remains in affect till 9am local time Wednesday Morning.

A Wind Chill Watch maybe issued in the coming hours. if one is it will mostly be in affect from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning.

 

Thursday: 31st March 

The forecast for Thursday hasn't changed much unlike Wednesday. 

Cloudy, high near 4°C, with a low around -5°C. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

 

Friday: 1st April

Fridays forecast like Wednesday has been update quite a bit. Daytime temperature wise it going to be a tad warmer high near 5°C. But the overnight low is going to much colder close to -2°C. By far the coldest temperature of the week. Friday morning and early afternoon have a slight chance of rain. Rain chances of 40%. Clouds will start to clear out by sunset but will start to increase during the night. Rainfall, measurements between 21 to 30 mm of rain possible.

Good Wednesday Morning today is 2nd of August 2023. Today’s weather forecast:

 

Capital city of Læniguëuíl

Date: 2nd August 2023

Morning (5 am - 11 am):
- Weather: A dense fog advisory is in place during the morning hours. Expect thick fog that may reduce visibility significantly, so exercise caution while driving or commuting.
- Temperature: The morning will start off cool, around 15 degrees Celsius, and gradually rise to 18 degrees Celsius by 11 am.
- Wind: Light and variable winds from the north-northeast at 5-10 km/h.

Late Morning to Afternoon (11 am - 6 pm):
- Weather: The dense fog is expected to slowly dissipate, giving way to partly cloudy skies in the late morning and afternoon.
- Temperature: The afternoon will be relatively mild, with temperatures reaching a high of around 20 degrees Celsius.
- Wind: The wind will remain light, coming from the north-northeast at 5-10 km/h.

Evening (6 pm - 10 pm):
- Weather: Fog will have cleared, leaving the evening with mostly clear skies and a few clouds.

(OOC: Hello Y'all as stated in my last post I was hoping to do more cities and towns then Just my capital. But now I thought it be cool to include towns that aren't labeled on the Eurth Map. So our first one is Kjellastrand. 

 

Kjellastrand is a small town of about 10k people. It is located in the Southern portion of  the Province of Álfarfjölland. Georgraphy it is located on the eastern side of the Fairy Mtn.s and west of the Aonaigh River. The town is located between lakes.)
