OOC note: I go from the principle that Kōri-Chi does share embassies with every single nation, except if explicitly stated otherwise. Since in the rules it is stated that the Vienna Convention is a per default international treaty that is ratified by every single nation, except if explicitly stated otherwise.

To: The Ministry of Imperial and Foreign Affairs @Kori Chi,

I would like to extend my personal greetings to our Adisi brethren over in the nation of Dominion of Kōri-Chi. I write to you today as the Economic Minister of the Empire of Zaxar on the behalf of my nation. It is the intent of my Emperor as well as myself to increase our economic and political ties with our Aurelian neighbors and, being a dominion of Mito, we consider your nation to be a part of this group.

It is for this reason that I write to you today. Zaxari investors, both private and governmental, have expressed interest in the markets and resources of your nation. I would like to inform you that our ambassador in Dākuōku, Antione Bidziil, will most certainly be attending this ball, although he has most certainly already told you of this being the competent man he is.

Antione's primary goal for the event will be to meet with the business elites of your nation with the hopes to develop mutual investment between our states. Primarily in the higher tech sector of pharmaceuticals which we are attempting to develop further. This being said, there will also likely be several private Zaxari elites in attendance as well. I do not at all doubt you will treat these men and women as you have treated our ambassadors over the years. They are of great wealth and ambition, ecpecially in regards to the Antargic Sea which our two nations inhabit and will be most keen to discuss our great lithium industry with your own people I am sure.

May this be a step towards a fruitful relationship between our nations.

Woonand be with you,

It is with great pleasure that we accept with your invite, which we have already forwarded to our ambassador to Kōri-Chi, Ask Sigurdsson, aswell as to the 2 most influential private investors in our kingdom, them being Ingrid Embludóttir and Frey Asksson, both owning quite sizable stakes and many of our public companies.

We hope their attendance can bring new opportunities to both our investors and that our countries may build relations, both economic and political. We believe they will accept the invite, for it is a great opportunity for them, but must unfortunately be wary of the possibility of one or both of them declining.

May the ball be fruitful and successful.

From: Rhavanese Foreign Affairs

As-salamu alaykum, the Rhavanese government is delighted to see this invitation to a nation that has long peeked our interest. Though Prime Minister Dodaraphon will not be able to attend because of a meeting of utmost importance for the safety of our nation with Kharai. President Thao Seng-Souk must also stay present, incase of an emergency if our delegation goes sour. We will volunteer Foreign Minister of Affairs Chantrea Ismail Les Po Nagar (Miss Chantrea Po Nagar), who is well versed in foreign affairs and has served our country for over two decades.

Rhava is of course willing to discuss trade and economic agreements, especially in this dire time, when Europan powers run rampant across our seas. Adisi is a wonderful place, full of promise and it would be our utmost honor for our nations to share a cup of hot Jasmine tea overlooking great prosperity in the Adisi under Allah’s protection and watchful eye.

We look forward to meeting you in person,

The Honour Guard swing throughout the gardens before the Palace of the Governor, through traditional and protocolary walks, screaming, some sounds of trumpets and other musical instruments. That did little matter to Governor Aragushi, who was more focused on the latest poll which revealed that he was more appreciated when he wore his glasses, it apparently granted him a more serious and official tone, towards the electorate. He had tried to hide his eyes problems, with contact lens, however it seems rather futile, and even counter-productive to engage into such now.

The Palace in itself had stolen every single bits of design from the homeland, the heart of the Empire, @Mito. Even if such castles, back during feudal ages had a strategic significance because of their designs, and following how they were placed, the one that was hosting now the Governor, was built in the late XIXth century far on the outside of the city of Dākuōku, as the Dominion wasn’t even created yet, for serving as an enjoyable residence for high figures of the Empire, or even figures of the imperial family that would wander here. The architectural codes of the Palace, which in truth was based on the design of mitonese castles, still displayed a great authenticity and looked like it was at least 8 centuries olds, and showing well the great traditions of the Empire. Because of the near isolation it resided in, the Palace offered a splendide view, being high into the mountains, while still allowing guests to see even higher ones, almost enveloping them, from certain point of view even letting them see clouds under them from afar.

Aragushi was standing, alone, only seconded by an assistant translator, in the middle of a great court right in front of the Palace, that was showing off a small stairs, which the guests would have to climb when arriving in their limousine. After the small stairs, which were truly wide, and the road on which the limousines would arrive, was a marvelous small traditional mitonese garden, which seems rather simple and natural, yet every single centimetre of it was master and defined by humans, showing such control over the environment. Honour guards on either side of the stairs and of the court were standing by, as well as flags which were on the full length on either side of the court. Those flags were the ones of the nations attending such evening, a way of welcoming them, while retaining a certain simplicity as it remained a ball after all. As they were now awaiting the first guests.

The dark pitch limousine glided to a stop on the great cobbled drive and attainees swiftly opened the doors to release the Zaxari entourage. Among the entourage were several well dressed cooperate representatives and their aids hailing from Zaxari lithium giants Blue Springs and Geolithia. Along with them exited the CEO of the nation's largest offshore aquaculture business, Zaxar Aqua Co., Mr. Frances Satapo, known for his generous reputation; the CFO of Zaxar Pharmaceutical, Mrs. Chloe DeLouvier; and finally the Zaxari ambassador himself heading the delegation, Mr. Antione Bidziil. They had arrived taken a small detour on their preplanned rout in order to make sure that they would not be too early. Rather they had arrived a perfect two minutes early to the party in a traditional Zaxar show of respect and appeared to be the first foreign delegation to arrive.

Antione strode through the outer palace gates with a familial wave to the palace honor guards and took a moment to look around. It was far from his first time in the palace, he was a Zaxari Imperial Ambassador after all, yet the place never ceased to impress him. The normally beautiful palace grounds were decorated in all the wonders of the nation, accenting the classical Mitoan architecture. He looked back for a moment and noticed his party was likewise entranced by the spectacular grounds. It was no easy feat, they knew, to maintain such a pristine garden this close to the Antargic Circle.

The party emerged into the palace and began the process of dispersing into the small crowd of native Korians in a flurry of professional handshakes and traditional bows. Antione himself had spotted the man he was here for, Governor Sang Aragushi, standing in the middle of the great courtyard alongside what must have been an aid. Antione began to make his way toward the man. This in itself was a slow process as he was obliged to greet many of Kori-Chi's elites whom knew him from past dealings. He could only be grateful that many of them lacked translators which made for brief greetings with mostly bows and handshakes.

Finally, he made it to Governor Aragushi and with a quick smile, bowed and greeted the man with the traditional Zaxari greeting of peace, "Aquène wematin, how are you my friend? It is really a wonderful venue you have arranged here. We are honored by your hospitality."

Candar Jalo Hanninen, sovereign of the Divine Realm of Roqoo ("rue-coo"), stepped out of the vehicle that had been dispatched to convey him, Prelate Sinikka Luoma, Lahettila (lit. ambassador) Taavi Juntunen, and accompanying aides, and stood facing the Palace of the Governor in Dākuōku, capital of the Dominion of @Kori Chi. At the top of the steps that led from the street, Jalo could see two people standing before the doors of the palace.

Jalo took in the gardens that lay before the palace and to the sides of the broad stair case that led toward the governor as Taavi, Sinikka, and aides extricated themselves from the vehicles. Mid-way up the steps toward the governor, Jalo spotted the flag of Roqoo, hoisted by a member of the Kōri-Chi honor guard. Turning back, Jalo addressed the ambassador,  "do you think this climate will agree with you, Taavi? It is quite different from that of home, isn't it?" Jalo adjusted the shawls around his shoulders, a slight chill creeping up his neck.

The tall, bespectacled man smoothed his dark hair as he looked to the Candar. "Indeed, your Most Revered, there is quite a chill in the air. But not to fret, I have spent much time in colder climes before and am sure my family will come to enjoy their time in this historic land."

The short, tan woman beside him clapped him on the back, "well spoken, Lahettila." Turning to regard the Candar, bowing in reverence before addressing him "I have faith, your Most Revered, Taavi ranks top among our diplomats and will make a fine representative between the people of Kōri-Chi and Roqoo."

"Yes, Prelate, I believe he has been blessed and destined to serve in this capacity." He gestured towards the palace steps, "shall we... it appears the delegation of Zaxar has been welcomed by the governor. We don't want to keep our gracious host waiting." The enrobed holy leader adjusted his shawls once again and began the short walk to the courtyard where Governor Aragushi stood. Prelate Luoma and Lahettila Juntunen followed their holy leader, climbing the steps side-by-side just a few strides behind the Candar, trailed by the trio of aides.

Upon reaching the great court before the palace, Candar Jalo waited a moment for the Roquanian continent to summit, before continuing on to greet the Kōri-Chi leader. Jalo bowed his head in acknowledgment, speaking in Anglish, "greetings, Governor Aragushi, I thank you for your generous invitation to this gala. As Candar, spiritual guide and leader of the Divine Realm of Roqoo, I bring you the blessings of my people, your peaceable and hospitable Marenesian neighbors."

Stepping to the side, he gestured 7to the two people standing to his right. "And with me,  I bring Sinikka Luoma, our Prelate of Foreign  Affairs and Trade and her contemporary, Lahettila Taavi Juntunen, the newly appointed ambassador to Kōri-Chi," Jalo introduced the first two of his contingent.

"I trust in faith that Lahettila Juntunen and Prelate Luoma are most capable of discussing economic development and cooperation with your ministers and forging stronger relations between Roqoo and Kōri-Chi." Turning to the gardens beyond the courtyard, "Now that aside, I do hope I'll be able to tour your most magnificent gardens before I take leave and return to the shores of my people. I always feel the calm and majesty of the Solleu Livot deities mostly strongly when surrounded by nature."

The evening was young as Mrs. Po Nagar arrived in Dākuōku. The sky was a dark navy with tints of pink and red stretching across the sky, like an elaborate painting with quick strokes of color. During the limo ride over she practiced her smiles, while taking small sips of her sweet iced coffee. She put on her biggest smile as she got out of her limo, she tightened the belt around her blue áo dài, with elaborate gold tigers crossing the robe, and clutched her white hijab with bamboo patterns to her head so that it would not fall off. She waved politely at guards and people as she officially set foot in Kōri-Chi. As some of the entourage muttered their distaste of being 5 minutes late, Po Nagar whispered that they were fashionably late, chuckling and heading inside while handing her aid her coffee from the ride.

The governors palace was in the stunning Mitonese style architecture, and the gardens were decorated with the aspects of Kōri-Chi. While Po Nagar had seen places like this, she had never been so up close.  The elaborate gates, the delicately tiled roof, and neat palace guards. It never ceased to impress Po Nagar, every nation’s unique flair. The cold however was definitely getting to her, as it was a huge difference from Rhava’s tropics.

She continued to the entrance of the palace where she was surrounded by a number of native Korian’s as well as the Zaxari and Roqooan delegations. The court had lights hanging from every nook, and music played in the distance. Po Nagar was pleasantly surprised as was most of the Rhavanese delegation. They hadn’t expected this much from cold Antargicans. There, in the courtyard stood the man himself, Governor Sang Aragushi.

“Salam Governor, this is certainly something you’ve thrown together. Thank you for having us, and we are delighted to begin diplomacy. After getting some food, that is.”

OOC: idea is that the court is in front of the castle, and so the Governor is there, greeting one after the other the guests, as they’ll enter the castle and continue RP.

As the first limousine would arrive, the assistant translator disposing an ear set with which he could receive and send information, would get the needed information of who’s delegation it was. Bending slightly forward, as to attain Governor Aragushi’s ear, he commented, « The delegation of the Empire of Greater @Zaxar, headed by His Excellency the Ambassador Bidziil ».

« Mmh » gave alongside a nod Aragushi, as to let the translator get back into his original position, and let both his hands alongside his body, retaining a simplicity in how he stood.

At the greeting of Ambassador Bidziil, Aragushi let a smile appear on his face, as he’d slightly bow as to salute the man, « Delighted to see you, we are honoured of your presence » first replied Aragushi, before going on, « Equally delighted to see your great escort » he added on an amused sympathy tone, knowing usually that diplomats handling corporate executives was never a simple task, « Thank you for your presence, and interest » he reaffirmed, slightly bowing as to salute the effort and interest shown by Zaxari businesses, specially of such prestige.

Governor Aragushi would greet one after the other, naturally bowing, without any handshakes, and not doing the compliment of such to their assistants or aids naturally, as per imperial protocol. He’d invite them to reach inside, where they shall be further provided for.

As the doors would open to them, two butlers would bow from either side, as two additional ones would come to them, inviting of them to dispose of their coats, hats or anything they wish to let go of for the duration of the ball. Once such was done, they were invited into a grander room, where pink marble was both on the floor with pure white one, and used to make the columns. Quiet traditional background music was being played by a small orchestra in one of the corner of the room, as another larger space full of musicians was yet to play and apparently were still adjusting themselves. Throughout the room, already important figures, both from the government and private, invested the room, and had drinks already in their hands, as small traditional pastries were being spread throughout the multiples other grand rooms with high ceiling. Always on the sides, various tables hosted buffets of mostly salty compositions, with some parts relying mostly on crude fish compositions.

Ambassador Bidziil would be approached by a woman, of great charms, in a Bordeaux red dress, with a slot over almost entirely her left leg. « Your Excellency » she addressed slightly bowing, « May I offer you a drink? » she proposed as she bitten the right part of her lips, immediately diving into such, not presenting herself yet, as she gave a glimpse towards the bar and was curious as to what sorts of drinks such a man from Zaxar would appreciate.

Having just greet the honourable Zaxari, Aragushi would turn his look towards the new limousine arriving, as once more the assistant translator would bow in order to get closer to his ear, and comment, « The delegation of the United Realm of @Roqoo, headed by their sovereign, His Majesty, Candar Hanninen ».

Such sort of surprised Aragushi, given that it was one of the rare figure being a head of state, other than himself naturally, to attend such event. Being such close neighbours, the matter over economic investments seems naturally to be high enough of a major point in bilateral relations, and Aragushi knew that given proximity they were to have much to discuss. As Candar Hanninen came closer, with his escort, slightly bowing to greet, Aragushi greeted the traditional mitōnese way, arms on either side well along the body, bowing. At the first words spoken by the Candar, the assistant translator took on the task of translating the kind anglish words spoken.

« Thank you for your kind words » expressed in gratitude Aragushi, as the assistant translator would this time translate the mitōnese words into anglish for the guests, « Your presence honour us your Majesty, the same as important figures, showing the importance of our bilateral relations for one another. I trust the great achievements we may gain from such » he went on, appreciating immensely the heavy presence roquan did for tonight’s occasion, « Even if it is the summer here, weather may feel fresh, specially in the evening » he added as to talk in comparaison to the warmer climate usually in Roqoo, and specially given the high altitude they were at. « I would however be delighted to take a walk with your Majesty in order to show him the gardens, when I shall have finished welcoming our guests » proposed Aragushi to Hanninen, « We could talk [insert Marenesia native language lingua franca] » he even suggested, bowing as he made such proposal.

Once Hanninen replied, they would be escorted inside too, invited to dispose of their coats and others which may bother them, in order to fully enjoy the evening, where the ball had yet to start.

« Greetings » exclaimed in [insert Marenesia native language lingua franca] Nosha in front of the roquan group, headed by Hanninen, as he bowed as to properly greet, « I am Hagana Nosha, Minister of the Imperial and Foreign Affairs » he introduced himself, « I am delighted to meet your Majesty, and your Excellencies » he further added, referring to the Candar, the Prelate, the Lahettila and the new Ambassador for Kōri-Chi. « I trust your journey went well? » he asked, as he snapped his fingers in order to have a butler show up with drinks, to be proposed, or asking the guests what drinks would they like in order to seek them and serve them.

« The delegation of the Islamic Republic of @Rhava, headed by Her Excellency Foreign Minister of Affairs Nagar » would comment the translator assistant, as Aragushi was delighted to see people coming from so far away, from such a different horizon, to be welcomed in such out of the ordinary place for them.

As the translator assistant would translate the words, Aragushi wouldn’t be able to prevent himself, « Hahaha » he laughed, at the great tact proven by the Minister, « With such sense of priority, I am certain we shall understand one another rather rapidly » expressed Aragushi as his words were being translated into nalinese for Nagar, as it seems the rhavanese had a good sense of priority regarding food, « Even if we remain in summer, I trust that the climate remains fresh, specially given the altitude we are at » he added as a comment, giving a glance at the mountains surrounding the domain, « The task of ambassador to Kōri-Chi deserves a praise some say, that is certainly not the climate of the Whanganui Sea » he continued with a humouristic tone, referring to the geographical position of Rhava. « I hope that our food may satiate, at least partially, your Excellency » he further added, « Thank you for your presence » he thanked, as he invited her to dive inside the palace, and discover for herself the formidable interior, and fortunately the temperature would be much more to her taste.

As soon as she entered, in addition to being proposed to put aside her coat, after a few steps moving into the main area, a man would come and greet her, « Greetings » he stated in an almost perfect nalinese, bowing, « It is an honour to meet your Excellency » he commented, as he would come closer, « Allow me to introduce myself, Diplomat Husaki, at your service » he said with a smile, and certain charm in how his manners were well applied for his age, as he seems like he was in his mid-thirties. « May I recommend you a Composed Litchi Juice? It is a pure wonder, marvelous in order to start a proper digestion, without any alcohol » he’d go on, as to propose a drink having already a bottle in his hand and two glasses, having obtained the comment over the prerequisite to eat, thanks to a communication from the assistant translator through his ear set, and knowing because of the main religion in Rhava that alcohol wasn’t most likely admitted to be drunk.

« The delegation of the Kingdom of @Magnus, headed by His Excellency Prime Minister Larsen » letted it slide and sink into Governor’s Aragushi’s ears, the translator assistant, getting back to his initial position, stoic as ever.

« Head of government Larsen… » would whisper to himself Aragushi, reminding to himself the small exchange of letters which happened given their tightness around security. A sign perhaps of their great prudence, and isolationist mindset? That is something to certainly not take personally, or hold against them, thought Aragushi, it seems to be an integral part of their culture. Something to simply go along with, as after all the response to be most cooperative and grant them as many VISAs as they wanted, ultimately show them a more relaxed side of themselves. People living close to poles often are more disciplined, and strict, specially on preventing any risk, at least that was with such stereotype in mind that Aragushi went on.

As the magnar delegation advanced into the court, led by Larsen, letting them enjoy the beauty of all the security display, with guards from the Honour Guards in shiny uniforms, which ultimately were futile one would naturally conclude, in case of a true terror attack, Aragushi imagined a few grotesque security breach scenarios, trying to distract himself as he had to wait on the spot there, for a while, welcoming all the guests.

« Welcome your Excellency Larsen » addressed in mitonese Aragushi, as he slightly bowed in sign of respect and greetings, while his words would be translated by the translator assistant immediately into magnar language. « Your Excellencies » would extend further Aragushi, pointed at greeting the rest of the delegates. « I trust you made safe and enjoyable travel » confided Aragushi, knowing how far away both nations were from one another.

As Larsen would offer him the box of chocolate, Aragushi would slightly bow, while accepting the great present with both hands, hold it refinely. « Aligato, aligato » thanked Aragushi, « I do hope you shall find the evening worth it » he wished to his guests, as the evening had been well planned for establishing cordial relations with all those attending, but equally hoping for potential bilateral agreements, and who knows… Investments?

As a few more polite words would be exchanged, with the translator assistant playing a defining role in the interactions, a guard, in his strict military manners and walk, would approach on the side, slightly bowing when arrived, stopping right next to the Governor, and being transferred the great magnar gift, so that it may be disposed into the Governor’s office, as he shall welcome other guests. « Those shall be useful when reviewing latest records in our Diet » joked Aragushi, speaking about parliament’s legislations and transcripts, which were most boring generally.

The magnar delegation would be invited to follow through inside, to dispose of their coats and other accessories they deem useless in a ball, before being approached, « It is an honour to meet a man who faced absolute death » stated a charming mature Lady, in a deep purple dress, with red hairs a bit extravagant. « I do think such deserves a toast » she’d add, as she held two coupes of champagne, extending one to Larsen. « I am Suki Mazara, delighted to meet you » she continued.

[OOC: I am not aware of traditional Kori-Chi customs and I did not see any listed in the wiki so I have avoided using them as much as possible. It is safe to assume that the ambassador would be very familiar with them and would follow them with great care. It can also be assumed that the rest of the Zaxari entourage would also abide by these customs, if not as rigorously as the ambassador.]

  •

"Ah yes, my escort is indeed quite reputable," Bidzil responded, sharing the Governor's knowing smile. "I would allow them to introduce themselves to you should it please your excellence."

The first man in the entourage would step forward with a courteous bow, "I offer you my most gracious greetings, governor. I stand before you today as my cooperation, Geolithia, though you may address me as Cha'tima as it pleases your grace. My company has a great interest in the markets and investors of your domain and I would be most pleased to discuss such with your associates further over a drink." Cha'tima would smile, bow again, and melt away again into the retinue.

The next of the Zaxars to greet the Governor would be Ms. Mitena DeFouvve representing the Blue Springs cooperation. She would approach the Governor with a bow, "It is a pleasure and an honor to meet you, Governor. I stand today as Blue Springs, we would most certainly be pleased to speak with you about a mutually, beneficial relationship." She would then smile in the seemingly friendly and yet somehow predatory way only a seasoned cooperate dealer could and departed toward the palace.

The next man of the Zaxar party store quickly up to the Governor and gave a slow bow before introducing himself as Mr. Frances Satapo of Zaxar Aqua Co. "I am most grateful to finally meet you in the flesh," he would proclaim in his iconic deep booming voice, "I have heard much good about you and it would be my honor to liken you to my friend." Mr. Satapo would then bow and turn to find the nearest food or lone partygoer to entertain.

And finally would step forward the bespeckled CFO of Zaxar Pharmaceutical, Mrs. Chloe DeLouvier. Known as a quiet and thoughtful woman, she would offer the Governor a small bow before offering her greetings, "a pleasure to meet you, Governor. I am grateful that you would have me at your great palace." "I feel that my business is one that could be of great benefit for your nation and I look forward to furthering discussion of this opportunity with you later." She would then exchange a warm smile with the Governor before moving away into the crowd.

Once his entourage had their exchanges with the Governor, the ambassador Bidzil led their way inside the great palace itself. The great double doors were opened from within to reveal a soft Kōri-Chise music and a palace of a great rose-pink and white grandeur with a strong semblance to the great medieval castles of old though with modern accents in the form of amenities. Upon their entrance, the retinue was greeted by six well-dressed butlers who swiftly collected the expensive coats and designer bags of the guests to be kept safe until they would be required again. Bidzil handed his sealskin coat off to one of the said butlers and address his company, "I say farewell to you for now my friends. Please represent our great nation well and please, do enjoy yourselves." He smiled and the Zaxars dispersed into the small crowd of important Kōri-Chise to party and await the arrival of the next delegation. Speaking of which, Bidzil could just make out the sounds of the Roquan delegation being greeted by the Governor now. It seems they had just beaten them here, "perfect," he thought to himself.

Bidzil took a moment to take in the foods of the party, mostly fish as far as he could tell. "Perfect, again." He thought, "Just like home, the Zaxars will love it." It was at this moment that Bidzil heard a woman's voice from just off to his left, "Your Excellency," He looked over at the source of the voice, "May I offer you a drink?" The woman was quite beautiful, fitted in a dress of a purpled red complexion with a slot running up the majority of the left leg.

"I would love to grab a drink," he replied. "I wonder if his grace has got any good ciders, perhaps even some of my nation's own." He smiled, "Shall we go find out?"

« We shall » addressed with a smile the woman in the bordeaux dress, talking an impressive wampanoag as her mitōnese accent could still be heard, as she extended her arm, for it to be kissed and taken as they’d both head towards another room, which seemingly was well secondary, yet as they entered could discover that the ceiling was as high as the main ball room, and there was even some great space for dancing. The bar, with at least five waiters behind, had been done in pure and simple lines, showing a great minimalism philosophy as the white/turquoise marble that was making it, inspired a certain serenity, yet contradiction with the rest of the room.

As both would make steps towards the bar, , the woman would move her head towards Ambassador Bidziil of @Zaxar, « I know it is impolite to ask a woman’s age, yet I suspected you may be interested to know my name » she commented with a chuckle, « Daiki Ariori, this is my first domestic appointment » she clarified with her charming smile, explaining why Bidziil most likely never had seen her prior. « I see you have brought here quite refined guests by your side » she said giving a glimpse around, as to see for the great figures of zaxar industry. « I am certain we may find most favourable terms for them to find a valid reason to have their companies coming here… » she suggested with a smile, quite liking the idea of working closely with zaxar.

Both were now at the counter of the bar, « Well, shall we » Ariori exclaimed, as she’d move on the side, in order to get behind the counter, as the waiters would somewhat protest. Some other kōri-chise would look at her, offended by her action, but she seems to be used to do things against protocols, and in a non-orthodox manner. Being behind the counter, she’d take a careful look at the many many bottles. « Oh, splendide! » she’d exclaim, picking a bottle and putting it on the corner for Bidziil to see, « Black Nikka Whiskey, 35 years of age, a true wonder » she happily said, before turning back towards the counter, seeking some cider. « Ah! » she’d after a few seconds of searching, « That sounds lysian, must be from your place with such name » she continued, picking the bottle and getting to a waiter, and talking to him in mitōnese for a moment. Before at last, turning back to Bidziil, « That’s well from Zaxar » she commented, as she seemingly had discussed with the waiter to verify such, « Apparently it’s exceptional, well, I mean, given we are at the Governor’s home, knowing the man he most likely wouldn’t accept any salty water in there » she explained, before reading what was written on the bottle, « Cidre de glace » she tried to say in lysian but her accent just butchered entirely what she wanted to say.

She picked four glasses, two made for whiskey, and two made for desserts for the cider most likely, and put them on the counter. « Mister Ambassador, in order to well start this honourable ball, focused on economic development, I propose you a most honourable transaction! » she exclaimed, a bit too loudly apparently for the taste of others, as she spoke in a bit ironic tone, « You try my whiskey, I try your cider, and you introduce me progressively to those important business figures from your homeland she proposed, waiting on Bidziil’s response.

Chantrea was startled by the knowledge of the governor and his translator, and the fluency of her language. Chantrea actually knew all Rhavanese languages, and would try them all out later to see if they had done their research. Chantrea laughed with the ambassador about the temperature of the domain, acknowledging how observant he was. Miss Ponagar introduced her entourage;

“With me I have Mrs. Akilah Phommavong of Pamai Sikhav province’s Phapu oil. As you probably know, Rhava hosts one of the largest amounts of palm oil from the jungles of the country, and is one of the largest producers.”

“Sabaidee Governor Aragushi” Akilah said in the Sichaeng language, with a quick bow touching her hands together above her forehead.

“The other man I have with me, is Mr. Samuel Nguyen of Ba Chó’s Tomsu Incorporated, with fresh seafood from the Pukopai and Hundred Island region.”

“Hello Governor Aragushi, I am grateful for your hospitality, and hope to enjoy my time in your glorious nation” Samuel said, touching his hands together above his forehead in a standard Rhavanese fashion, and bowing slightly. Both he and Akilah disappeared into the palace. With the governor's thanks, Ponagar entered the hall, where her coat was taken away leaving her in her ao dai, and her hijab topped with a non la. She was in awe of the sheer size and color of the palace, reminding her of pictures she had seen of Mito, as well as a similar kind of palace in Yagai and Goruden Byu. Traditional music played in the back as Ponagar was met with a charming man roughly 7 years younger, though it was hard to tell because he aged very well. In startling Nalinese he introduced himself as Diplomat Husaki. Kori Chi continued to amaze Ponagar with their knowledge of Rhavanese culture and language. He even offered her a lychee drink, which reminded her of home. It was her favorite.

“Hlaowallah Mr. Husaki, I am pleased to meet your acquaintance” spoke Miss Po Nagar, bowing and touching her hands together above her forehead.

« I trust your travel was comfortable? » asked still in nalinese, to her Excellency Foreign Minister of Affairs Nagar, from @Rhava, Husaki, as he knew the rhavanese taste for comfort.

All while he’d from a swift and balanced gesture show much precision in how he’d stabilise the two glasses in one hand, while pouring them with the other. After doing such, in a most precise manner, he’d hand over the bottle to a passing waiter, in order to properly present to Nagar one of the two glass, as he slightly bowed with such offer.

« Awefe » expressed Husaki, as he raised his glass while nodding at Nagar, wishing good health in nalinese, or at least he hoped he did such right.

The imperial and foreign affairs ministry was most tight on its diplomat, and how they were to behave. Each had to specialise for one nation, to truly get its scent, and naturally learn its main language, and if possible, one of the secondary. Lessons after lessons, on manners, mimics, habits, gastronomy, and others, were to make the diplomat no longer a subject of His Imperial Majesty in the way he may behave for diplomatic purposes with those. That is why, on average, a kori-chi diplomat would remain for a long time attached, or attributed we may say, to one specific nation. As to deepen its knowledge, and at its turn, train newer diplomats to eventually replace him and get a better connection with the people of this land. The Islamic Republic of Rhava was no exception to this doctrine, which so far had bearing fruits.

« How does your Excellency consider this humble juice? » asked Husaki, as he smiled, « My apologies » he said with a small chuckle, « Sometimes, in order to undermine the fact that we would drink unholy beverages to our wives » he started explaining, referring to naturally alcoholic beverages, preventing himself from saying “or husbands” not being certain on the stance over homosexuality in Rhava, « We pretend to qualify such beverages as fruit juice » he developed as a funny anecdote.

As exchanges would proceed and go on, Husaki suggested « I must admit that our EEZ is quite great and very large. I am certain that comprehensive investments, which may benefit of tax cut from our government, from Ba Chó’s Tomsu Incorporated for instance, into infrastructures for fishing and distribution, for local but most importantly for export, would be quite a fruitful market. Specially given the richness of our seas », as after all financial investments to develop kori-chi under-developed economy remained the purpose of such ball, and if the minister was liking such idea, developing equally rhavanese soft power and influence here, while making one of its prime company grow and get a better international position, while providing other markets with diversified products in its core, Husaki would be most delighted.

Bidzil kissed the woman's hand in respect and allowed himself to be led into an equally impressive room off of the main ballroom. He noticed many people already in the room, though there was still ample space for dancing should one desire to. He followed the woman, Daiki Ariori as she had introduced herself, towards a bar which stood out among the vibrant decor of the room. It stood out not because of exceptional grandeur, nor impressive artistry or wealth. But rather it stood out in that it did not stand out. The grand decor of the palace was not reflected in this simple, minimalist bar which somehow allowed it to capture the attention of the room at large.

He would have to ask about the story behind the bar later though, as Daiki had hopped behind the bar and was now working her way through the governor's stock of alcohol. The bartenders did not appear to be very happy with this situation but Daiki persisted, either unnoticing or just unbothered by the glares burning into her back. She had mentioned that this was her first diplomatic assignment though he likely could have guessed this from her lack of care for the others in the room. In his time in embassies around the Wurld during his training he had met very few diplomats like her, she was rather unorthodox though sometimes this could be for the better, at least he hoped this was the case. He did have to admit though, that her energy and charisma was contagious and it was now that his years of training and experience in self control paid off. It would not suit his nation's image well to antagonize these guests, as easy as that could be to do. He found he quite liked this woman, she was a breath of fresh air when compared to the diplomats who otherwise frequented his company.

"Oh, splendide!" Daiki exclaimed, picking a bottle and putting it on the corner for Bidziil to see, "Black Nikka Whiskey, 35 years of age, a true wonder" she exclaimed happily, before turning back towards the counter. "Ah!" she’d after a few seconds more of rummaging through the bar, "That sounds lysian, must be from your place with such name" she continued, picking up a bottle of Zaxari Cidre de Glase and handing it to a waiter before quickly saying something that Bidzil couldn't quite catch to him in mitōnese. She turned back to Bidziil, "That’s well from Zaxar" she commented, "Apparently it’s exceptional." she explained. She then attempted to read what was written on the bottle and somehow managed to cough out something along the lines of glassy. It was lucky that Bidzil already knew what was in the bottle for otherwise he might have thought that it was pickled frogs or some other obscure delicacy consumed by a few dozen people in some backwater who had managed to get a bottle all the way to @Kori Chi.

Daiki grabbed four glasses and placed them on the bar top. "Mister Ambassador, in order to well start this honorable ball, focused on economic development, I propose you a most honorable transaction!" she exclaimed. "You try my whiskey, I try your cider, and you introduce me progressively to those important business figures from your homeland."

"Very well then," Bidzil responded, feeling himself smiling. "Cheers!" He raised the whisky to his mouth and took a sip. "Quite exceptional," he proclaimed before placing the glass back on the counter. He couldn't afford to drink much tonight. He did, after all, have a nation to represent.

He looked to Daiki for her reaction to the cider before smiling and asking, "well now, would you like to meet my most honorable entourage?"

“My travels were excellent, I was able to admire your nation from far above, a landscape that was almost alien to me.”

He poured her a glass and shouted; “Sahtain”, to which she chuckled knowing he was trying. She too also found it very hard remembering all the specific dialects of the many languages of Rhava.

“Kesak” she replied, taking a sip from the beverage to which she enjoyed very much. He seemed to be very knowledgeable, and show some appreciation to it, and not just know it by the “antagonist” of Southeast Alharu, or just “Kharai and Ngoc Luat Combined.”

“Tuy Toikthuk Nok-Chai Yekap Phrasinthuhk Mā Ntxong Yekap Nhan Mā Tuy (I am continuously surprised by your knowledge of my home)” speaking in Nhai, one of the many languages in Rhava. This one was however one of the most important and actually referred to as Rhavanese. She hoped he would be able to understand.

She was asked if she liked the drink, to which she replied very much. He then asked other questions which she felt she did not have the authority to make that call. That was for the Sultan and him and him alone. However this fruit juice continued to keep the meeting light and happy. After small talk, it was straight to business, in which he made a pretty good proposal.

“That sounds like a rather good investment, you know as we say in Rhava; Saphadai Rayat Sinhrayyang Khadmonh Mueang (leave many things, expect much want).” They both smiled taking more sips from their drinks before returning to each other. “Why don’t I introduce you to Mr. Nguyễn of Ba Chó’s Tomsu Incorporated. She opened her phone, and began to call Samuel as Husaki continued to stare at her, perhaps trying to analyze her or something. Regardless, in a couple minutes Samuel bounded over, definitely slightly drunk. Thankfully his second, Laila Thi Hoáng was right behind him, giving Chantrea a knowing look.

Bowing in a traditional Rhavanese fashion, with a slight head drop as well showing her heritage from the Southeast regions of Rhava, definitely something Husaki would notice Po Nagar noted. “Chao Thabnam Kokomn (good evening governor)” she said in a soft windy voice, quieter than most of the Rhavanese entourage, which was saying a lot seeing how most of the noise in the room was from Rhavanese laughter and ululating.

Po Nagar gestured towards an empty table; “Now shall we begin?”

« Memorable time with Daiki Ariori eh? » would exclaim Ariori, as to try to let her name remain in the Ambassador Bidziil of @Zaxar’s head, since it was also her way of trying to build up a network, since she knew such was essential in those milieu, diplomatic connections, speaking with everybody… The whiskey was certainly giving a oak wood taste, but remained nonetheless very strong. « It always does this effect » she clarified after tasting the whiskey, « I suspect it’s better if we clean our mouths before continuing » she chuckled, as she noticed the annoyed stares of the waiters at her. Well, at least she was entertaining her guest well and he seems to enjoy alcohol she thought, and since making guests enjoy themselves was the priority in such evening, she felt like she had a point and was rather at ease with her unorthodox behaviour. She knew it had been troublesome in the past, but it’d at least make her sure to not be forgotten easily by Ambassador Bidziil she thought to herself, making her quite like the idea.

After pouring two new glasses of water, filling their mouths well, they could at last try this zaxari beverage, the cidre de glace. « Oooooooh » would exclaim a bit too loudly Ariori, « That’s so sweet! » she’d almost scream of excitement, getting looks, which she’d note and therefore try to put down her voice. « You do have really good tastes in your country » she’d compliment, at taking another sip. « Sure, let’s meet your honorable entourage » she’d reply at the Ambassador’s invitation positively, while making sure to pour herself a bit more of that cidre de glace to taste it more.

« One have to learn his guest to satisfy him » would simply comment Husaki in nalinese, before pursuing, « And I know a bit of sichaeng » stating such in sichaeng, second most used language in the Kingdom of @Rhava, as their discussion would pursue fully in nalinese.

At once, when Nguyễn and Hoáng would join them, both from Ba Chó’s Tomsu Incorporated, as Husaki was most surprised by Nguyễn, let us say, bit unorthodox way of walking and behaving. « I am glad to see Sir Nguyễn enjoys our evening » he’d comment, « In all due respect to rhavanese traditions » he’d precise, since he knew how alcohol was seen back home, and maybe the man wasn’t used to such much, explaining how easily he could fall for such. Husaki would make a move with his hand to call for a waiter, which would come at once, « Maybe you put at disposal water if needed for our guests » he proposed, as he suspected her Excellency Foreign Minister of Affairs Nagar did not wish to have one of her delegate continue further alcohol and end up on the floor too much.

« It is a pleasure to meet you both. I hope your travel was equally well and that you enjoy yourself » he’d address to Hoáng and Nguyễn with a slight smile specially directed at Hoáng, all in nalinese. Husaki would ignore the fact that he was merely a diplomat that could discuss and negotiate for the Dominion and not the Governor as greetings, « With pleasure » would reply at the invitation to seat a table Husaki from Nagar. Waiters would come as to take the chairs, and push them delicately as guests would seat, while Husaki would come behind Nagar as to do such for her, given manners they had in Kōri-Chi, before at his turn seating down. « I suspect your stomach need resources after such a long journey » suggested Husaki to the guests for wondering if they wished to eat something, knowing that the cuisines were ready for such.

Governor Aragushi would get a nod from Mora, his protégé, making him turn towards his guest. Wearing his modernized traditional mitonese suit, with a flute of champagne rosé from @Louvier, and a silver spoon in his right hand, he’d catch the guests’ attention.

« Honourable leaders, dignitaries, people of business and endeavours, welcome » he first expressed. « The Dominion is your servant tonight » he went on, « Please, enjoy the time as to rest and relax for this evening » he continued making a large wave with his right arm. « The mountain with her natural benevolence oversees us tonight », guests would see through the windows effectively how the Palace of the Governor, even if already high in altitude, was small and vulnerable in comparison to the surrounding higher mountains. « An assistant, from the Dominion, have been attached to each of your delegations, as to help you through the Palace and attend you with anything you may require. Tonight is pleasure, tomorrow is business. Therefore, please make the hall yours » he ended with a cordial smile.

The rest of the evening would be most politically correct, in the way that soft business alongside riverine matters would be exchanged, making it a first cordial contact, as the bar would deliver on its promises. Rarely, would the bottles previously been evaporating so quickly.

The reasonable foreigners would trust their rooms rapidly, some preferred to leave the Palace for the night and come back tomorrow, while some, more persistent, would stay up until the Sun summon itself upon the Dominion.

Early and mid-morning would have been let open for people to go where they pleased, enjoying the proposed breakfast, alongside a visit of the impressive garden, as the Palace and its dependencies were still preserved by the Honour Guard.

Various delegations, throughout the meetings rooms of the Palace, which still expressed strongly a feeling of the past in its architecture and how it mirrored the original castles of the Homeland, @Mito, would exchange, building up over the hours potential projects, every single one of them bringing more benefits than the other, for the subjects of His Imperial Majesty, and the foreign investors who were ambitious.
