Climate: Relatively diverse ranging from arid to temperate

History: An old nation that traces its begging to the migration of the !Japonic people from Alharu to the islands that would go on to form an empire that would fluctuate in size and unity throughout the ages. Competition with its neighbours is a prevalent theme throughout its history as well as the periods of importation of foreign ideas and ideologies. In the mid-twentieth century, its empire fell, and from its remnants, the Five Provinces emerged as a modernized democratic country. 

Desired location: 

These islands located near Aurelia/Thalassa respectively. Historically the cultural centre of the country has switched between the two largest islands while the small Thalassan island would be the homeland of the Venauans and have a history of Mitonese contact due to the seafaring history of the !Japonic peoples. Notably the climates of these islands are quite diverse and the closest islands with a climate partly somewhat similar to southern Japan. Pinging @Xio, @Rhodellia, @Kirvina and @Sunset Sea Islands in case any of them want to object/approve/add something as nations closest to Mitō's location.

Congrats Mito for passing the academy for the first time ever, I understand the process can be scary for newer members ;).
Joking aside, let's get you on the map (again).

Seeing how we've been constructing our nations' lore together, and spoken to the Aurelians, I imagine this will be a very quick application. I have previously measured the land area required for those islands (<55,000 km^2) so you're in the clear for points. Climate and history work out for the area, nothing to report on there.

You currently do not border anyone (I am joining you in the same update, so doesn't count) so no consent required (though if the ones you've pinged would provide it, that would be great). I'd say you're good to go!

Since I left quite a bit of land area unclaimed for my application, I'd like to see if it'd be possible to ask for these islands to be added to my claim. The primary reason for the request would be to give more space to wurldbuild the Venauans (!Polynesian conculture) not as an isolated offshoot of the !Polynesians but instead as a part of a South Thalassan !Polynesian people group and language family. I asked around it and wasn't told no so I thought to bring the affair up here. The stats would remain the same.
