The Arhomaioi of Aurelia have a diplomatic tradition stretching back centuries, that began with the first embassies and petitions they opened with the native banner-nations surrounding them. For most of history, the nation of Kirvina has dealt with its enemies at the table before putting them at sword-point. As a founding member of the Aurelian League (AL) and an observer in the EOS, it plays a major role in the regional politics of Aurelia and hopes to see the continent march in step in reality, rather than merely on paper.

I hope that this will mark the start of a new period in cooperation between our two proud nations, as we are both of the same Aroman stock. That two oceans divide us has never been an insurmountable challenge and I pray to God that that remains the case. Indeed, the ability of your ancestors to traverse those oceans and visit their homeland was one that was always most impressive to those who remained in Europa, even as our cultures and religions diverged over the years. The Kirvinoi are always welcome within my nation and it is hoped by the Holy Imperial Government and the Holy Emperor of Arome that the coming years will once again see our nations and people draw closer together.

I would also like to take this moment to re-affirm the relations between our nations, as well as to give notice that the Megas Agios Basileia will retain Tatianos Poullades as our ambassador to your nation. It is felt by the Holy Imperial Government that Poullades has been an able representative to your nation, although if your government disagrees, then mine will be willing to send a more suitable replacement. After all, it would not bode well for our future relations if we allow this to be a stumbling block at this point.

As the Véla Lagata is well aware, conflict between Zaxar and Côte de Fourrure seems more and more likely every day. We are fearful that war is on the horizon, and with the OCA involved in this conflict we expect it to get much worse. It is also apparent that the animosity present between both sides may have the potential to cause a humanitarian crises, no matter how restrained Zaxar my attempt to conduct their war. The Kingdom of Seylos is aware that Kirvina operates several locations known as "Sun Temples" that have been traditionally treated across Aurelia as neutral ground regardless of the conflict. With little else we can do besides humanitarian aid and diplomacy, Seylos wishes to ask Kirvina if the Seylosian Foreign Humanitarian Corps (FHC) can be sent to these locations to help those in need should fighting arise. In a situation such as this, we would need to work diligently with our Aurelian partners to ensure no harm comes to our humanitarian workers. To assuage concerns, the FHC is a Seylosian civilian humanitarian organization that practices strict neutrality in the areas of conflict that it finds itself. Aid is provided to all that need it and security personnel in the organization are instructed not to intervene in any conflict unless those under the direct care of the FHC are under threat of harm.

We hope that our two nations can work together in this cause, as well as further both Kirvinian and Aurelian relations with the Kingdom of Seylos.

On a separate note we are pleased to see Kirvina mobilize diplomatically to seek peace in the situation like that of the North Adlantic Union.

I am pleased to receive your communication, but saddened as well by the context in which it occurs. We believe that you Seylosians are wise to worry about the state of affairs abroad, for we have tracked with similar dismay the progressive degeneration of relations between Zaxar and the CDF. It is our most firm position that indeed the worst possible outcome of this skirmish is one that would bring the OCA knocking on Aurelia's door, for regardless of whence the provocation issued or where the fault lies, the League would be loath to take such an infringement on its territorial sovereignty laying down. 

As concerns the "Sun Temples" (such an ungainly turn of phrase, I think - I far prefer the Ilene ηλíλοικίαι), we would welcome the FHC, as such a presence would be as suggested purely humanitarian. We extend the promise that our Seylosian guests can in turn trust in Kirvinian protection during their stay in the conflict zone. I would personally suggest that the advisory be passed along to the necessary command structures that the FHC take care to attach itself to sufficient personnel from Kirvinian or otherwise Aurelian-born units for its duration of service, as despite the FHC's lengthy track record and excellent conduct abroad, the continent of Aurelia has a certain landscape that has always proven very difficult for foreigners to navigate.

I will arrange channels to enable for speedy communication between you and myself in the eventuality that the situation on the ground should change faster than normative diplomatic channels may account for.

As the Wurld moves forward into its next decade, we regard our changes in representation with hope and anticipation, and look forward to the continuation and strengthening of the long-held partnerships of our Exarchate. Indeed are the Tagmatikoi welcome here also—though you needn't take my word for it, as a Livassan beach during the wintry months provides all the evidence necessary of the extent to which our hospitality is commonly enjoyed. My family is itself freshly returned from a visit to Tagmatika, although not on official business, I am afraid. Even as our circumstances on Eurth grow difficult and we are faced with the need to address mounting issues both in our region and abroad, the Exarchate continues to take heart in the sustained closeness and comradely spirit of its brothers in wider Arhomaneia.

Our government has chosen to retain Tatianos Poullades in his current position. We feel that the dialogue he has provided, as well as his perspective as a Christian in the Tagmataí fashion, has been invaluable to the proper conduct of diplomacy between our nations. He will be pleased to hear that within the month, the renovations on Pandrásou St. will be completed, and his daily commute throughout Taurapetra will no longer be troubled by the work of the construction bureau. This should eliminate the only lasting concern that the ápokrisáras has raised to our attention in recent memory. In response, we would elect to fill the void of Kirvinian representation in Tagmatium by offering Hekaterína Sidera as our ambassador of choice. We understand that while she is young, she is close to the Solári in your country. We believe that this, among her other qualifications such as extensive philanthropic work in Tagmatiá, an excellent command of Fragran, and an old Senatorial background, render her a suitable representative in the eyes of all segments of Tagmataí society. Should another be preferable for any reason, we would be willing to adjust as per your specifications.

We would also wish to address military matters in this communication. First among them is due notification that the yearly exchange of the Ilenánoi is slated to take place as normal in approximately six days, as we have decided to proceed despite the difficulties at the Cape. We hope that their service in cooperation with the Tagmata has proceeded adequately, and that they have seen faithfully to the needs of the Agios Basileos. Their returning members continue to play a prominent and respected role in the Exarchate's armed forces, and we remain grateful for our arrangement. The closeness of our nations' relationship is often a rock in these troubling times. It seems that Eurth is more fraught with conflict than it has been for some time. That the crisis that begun in Europa seems to have spread to the New Wurld, to Argis and your own Aurelia, is something that appals all Arhomaioi. I am glad that it is yet to spread further west and directly impact the Kirvinoi, although it is surely already beginning to affect their lives. Your excellency should also be aware of the fact that Arhomaneia is sending aid to the three nations in the east that are fighting the pernicious influence of the Angleioi. These are the Autokrateia ton Megas Zaxareion (@Zaxar), Demokrateia tes Anateias (@Anatea) and the Regaseion tes Loubereias (@Louvier). Perhaps a unified support effort is something that we can discuss at a later date. Equally, let it be known that if the Kirvinoi find themselves beginning to be threatened by machinations of his majesty, Regas Kreitonos III, the Arhomaioi answer any call for aid.

With that aspect of business addressed, I must add that it heartens me that your excellency's family were able to have a congenial time in Tagmatika. It is perhaps not the most beautiful of Arhomaneia's capitals but it does perhaps have less of the fast-paced feel that Europatorion has, nor does it have that almost provincial feel of Aroma. It does depend on what one looks for, however. Certainly, once this crisis is over – whenever that may be – a week or two on a Livassan beach at any time of year would be something to look forward to. I would recommend the ski resorts in Tzankheia if you family is ever looking to spend your summer months somewhere cooler. The town of Mylamahos is particularly picturesque. I will admit to being less keen on skiing but I find that part of Arhomaneia in late winter or early spring, just before the thaws, to be quite beautiful and worth a visit.

I look forward to welcoming Hekaterina Sidera in her new role. I cannot see why there would be any possible cause for Kyria Sidera to cause offence enough that she could not enter into the role as your great nation's representative. Her credentials are excellent and will undoubtedly mean that she will be able to carry out her role without any complaint, either from the perspective of the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion or amongst the parts of society that Kyria Sidera will move in once she arrives in the Occident. Her relative youth will be no problem, as we all have to start somewhere. I realise that, sometimes, sending a representative with little experience can itself be viewed as a slight but I can assure your excellency that my government will not be so petty as to latch onto that.

Equally, it pleases the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion that his excellency, Tatianos Poullades is working well within his role as the representative of the Megas Agios Basileia. I shall pass on that information to his superiors within the Skrinion ton Barbaron, although I imagine that they will be aware of his successes already. I am certain that the renovations to the chancery will be please the apokrisiarios, who must have relocated back to the site by now. If your excellency is made aware of any problems that your representatives have with the chancery that they occupy, please do not hesitate to make them known and they will be rectified as soon as possible.

I have been assured by the the Grapheiou tou Agios Basileon, the Exerkitos Arhomanos and the Logothesion tou Stratiotikou that the Ilenanoi have served with the Tagmata as admirably as always. I hope that the returning members of the elite unit will be able compliment the armed forces of your nation. I can also tell your excellency that the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion is aware of the situation in Aurelia as it stands, as well as the troubles that seem to be brewing. I have forwarded your request onto the Logothesion tou Stratiotikou, who in turn discussed the matter with the Epistrategaion. The Epistrategaion has elected to dispatch the 3rd Apelatai Kometon, as well as 621st Sfendonetes Kometon. The latter is part of my nation's mountain infantry forces, the former a specialist reconnaissance unit. If the inclusion of these units in the envisaged exercise is acceptable to your nation's armed forces, then it is hoped that they will gain experience in operating in the province of Alexandria, as it will provide a different environment to that which they have often trained in. Similarly, they will also gain experience in working with a nation that they are not used to, although they have likely trained with members of the Ilenanoi in the past.

As you are undoubtedly aware, the situation in Aurelia has become ever more grave. Due to this, it is felt by his Aroman Majesty, Kommodos III, by the Grace of Christ the God, Holy Emperor and Autorcrat and Equal-to-the-Apostles, that Arhomaneia may need to take a more direct hand in the matters in Aurelia. This is not something that is done lightly – Aurelia is, after all, not somewhere where Europan or any foreign nations ought to meddle. Your continent is your own, after all. The relationship between our two nations is something special and not something that the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion wishes to take advantage of. However, it is felt that your government would agree that something needs to be done about the consistent meddling by the Regaseion tes Megas Angleias and its minion-nations. Especially since that all they have done is cause war between fellow Aurelians, such as can be seen both to your nation's east and north-west.

I therefore put to you a request, one that your government may turn down without any fear of damaging the relationship between our nations. The aircraft carrier BPP Agios Maiorikos and its strike group have recently been undertaking an exercise in the Sunthes Thalassa, the Synthe Sea, and it is felt by the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion that they could well be a useful deterrent if perhaps they made their way to the Kolpos tou Aurielou, Gulf of Auriel. There, if possible, they would utilise naval facilities to act as a temporary base, for which the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion would pay any fees incurred, as well as the cost of refuelling, provisions and anything else that might be needed for the upkeep of the naval vessels. This would not be a long term stationing of forces in the area, as it is realised that Aurelia is not a mere appendage of Europa, but a free continent that can determine its own future.

The presence of the aircraft carrier and its strike group will hopefully deter any further aggressive acts in Aurelia, especially around the Kolpos tou Aurielou. The presence of the ships may also be of benefit to your nation's navy, as they could be of use for training and military exercises in the immediate future. Equally, if your government sees a need for an expanded Arhomaiki military presence, perhaps in the event of a deterioration of the relations between your nation and Megas Angleia and its minions, or as support if the Kirvinoi were to intervene in the wars that have currently sprung up in Aurelia, then Arhomaneia would be willing to accede to that request.

Indeed, in order to help the Exarcheia to prepare for any possible conflict in the near term, the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion would be willing to offer the same aid that it has done to the other Aurelian nations that are currently at war with the minions of Megas Angleia. This has been in the form of A$250 million, which could be supplied in military aid, to help prepare your nation's military for any possible coming conflict. I pray to God that it would not be necessary.

May peace return to Aurelia and its peoples prosper.

I thank you kindly for the recommendations that you have offered me. While skiing is not a thing that I am personally all too skilled at, I would be honored to take up the task—even if I do make a fool of myself for just a little while, as I learn the ropes. I thank you also for your government's gracious acceptance of Kyria Sidera, and given the circumstances presently afoot on the Aurelian continent, have elected to provide for her transit immediately rather than observing the usual wait period. The reasons for this, we are hopeful, can be understood by your government in these trying times. While ceremony remains important, urgency demands that we act otherwise. The same will go for all confirmation ceremonies including that of ápokrisáras Poullades, as all additive ceremony and ritual in the function and expansion of the Kirvinian government has been temporarily suspended by the Upper House as per motion 32-C1 for the Transition to Crisis Logistics.

Concerning more direct business. You, Megas Logothetes, and all officials of the Tagmatikaí government up to the highest levels may find that we are of the same mind concerning the actions of the Anglians, and indeed the only acceptable response to both their meddling and that of the OCA in Aurelia. Zaxar, Anatea, Louvier, and Xio are all staunch allies of Kirvínastíria, and their enemies are our own in all ways. While we have already seen fit to deliver aid and provision for support units to Zaxar and Xio specifically, it is felt in the Kirvinian government that we are not completely prepared to enter the war ourselves at the current moment, but have come to the resolute decision that we are going to intervene in the future. It is decided that in late December or early January, when our diplomatic staff and humanitarian corps abroad have been successfully extricated, particular autonomous states in Southern Aurelia have been re-integrated de facto and de jure under the Union of Kirvina, we will enter all Angleiki proxy wars still in effect on the Aurelian continent.

With this in mind and with this highly sensitive information communicated to your government, it should go without saying that the Chief of Staff of the Navy and Air Force have provided their consent to the stationing of the BPP Agios Maiorikos and its associated strike group in Kirvinian bases on the Gulf of Auriel. Specifically, we are looking to provision for the hosting of the fleet at Drapana Bay north-west of Taurapetra, where our own carrier strike group is currently positioned. It is hoped that the positioning of our navy at the same location during peacetime will both create an image of greater unity, and allow for facile and discreet cross-navy exercises without an overlarge transport of men or materiel. We note that as we expect to be the ones with initiative, these deployments will be modified to suit the strategic situation before the moment of our entry into the war. Further Arhomaiki presence is not requested at this current time, as both the units currently training with their Ilenaí counterparts in the mountains of Alexandria and the carrier strike force are considered sufficient supplement.

Any further reinforcements from Tagmatía, we feel, would be cause for alarm for the leashed dogs of the continent whom the Angleiki have obliged to lay at their feet; and as Kirvina itself is not to participate directly in the fighting until the late months have wound to a close, this would only serve to hurt the interests to our allies. We may also decline the generous offer of A$250 million in funding aid, as while an economic injection would support our efforts to dictate the direction of the various proxy wars raging on our unfortunate continent, the funds would be transformed into materiel for Zaxar and Xio regardless and so would be better deployed directly to their armed forces. We will be taking advantage of Kyria Sidera's transit to include a small corps of military attachés, who will provision for a hotline between your and our Armed Forces as we build towards the moment of our declaration of war against OCA forces in Aurelia, though I remain your government's easiest point of access.

May Aromanía triumph, and its would-be usurpers be laid low to never rise again.
