The Zaxari foreign policy under Emperor William I Zaxar states that Zaxar will pursue a united Aurelia; a glubally interconnected economy; a monopoly on green energy resources including lithium and cobalt; a free and open economy; regional security which includes all of Aurelia, the southern Adisi Ocean, and Antargis; establishing Zaxar as a regional power in Aurelia and a glubal power through the Aurelian League; promoting peace, personal freedoms, and economic freedom across the glube.

Often, the continent of Aurelia seems a most mysterious land to those in far off Europa. Arhomaneia has had contact with some of your neighbours, both in the present and in the past, but it does remain an area that seems one of the most exotic on Eurth. Tales of such things as the so-called “railway states” have enticed the imaginations of many in Europa for years, as well as many of the other aspects of your home continent.

We also respect the struggles that your nation has had in coming into being. The Flaxar War is undoubtedly one of the longest in modern times, lasting almost three quarters of a century. Truly, Greater Zaxar is a country that has struggled against adversity and been tempered by the fires of conflict into something much stronger than it could have been without that.

Although my nation is ancient, it knows some of such struggles. Arhomaneia has often found itself surrounded by hostile enemies but has always come out on top, stronger than it was before. Due to that, the Arhomaioi see in the Zaxar an element of kinship, although our nations and cultures also differ in many ways. I hope that through closer contact, this might in time become a friendship, one that benefits both of our nations equitably.

To this end, I have been tasked by his Aroman Majesty, Kommodos III, by the Grace of Christ the God, faithful Emperor and Autocrat of the Aromans and Equal-to-the-Apostles, to ask that your excellency puts before his majesty, William of Zaxar, a request to exchange embassies between our two great nations. I do not doubt that this would be the start of a great relationship between our two honoured nations and it would do much good not just for them, but Aurelia, Europa and the Wurld.

You are not wrong in aligning your embattled history with our own. Both of our nations were born from a crucible of war and have emerged triumphant. Your crucible was long ago however, ours is still fresh, you have recovered and surpassed your ambitions of the past while we can only try to emulate your success. It is hoped by Arhomaneia that the path ahead of Greater Zaxar will be smooth, considering the struggles that are behind your people and your nation. I pray to God that this will be the case and I do not doubt that that there is greatness ahead of your nation.

It is the hope of my monarch, myself and the Arhomaioi that Arhomaneia has a part to play in that greatness. In order to facilitate this, I have discussed the appointment of an ambassador from my nation to yours with my nation's diplomatic corps. Between us, we have selected Demetrios Meitzomates as the head of my nation's mission. Please find their credentials attached. If they do not prove to be acceptable, I will find a more suitable candidate.

If this location is deemed unsuitable for any reason then we do have other options available as well.

The location you have selected in Tagmatika is an excellent place for our embassy and are ready to begin sending in our diplomats as soon as we can. To this end, Emperor William has appointed one of our nation's foremost diplomats to be our ammbassador in Tagmatika. His name is Julien Sapcheki and we have attached his credentials to this document. If he should be deemed unfit for this role then we can send a list of other possible candidates.

I am certain that by keeping close relations as we get to familiarize ourselves more that we can play a part in enriching Zaxar in the most beneficial way possible and help the Empire maintain peace as long standing advocates for diplomacy. Aurelia and the Adisi are poised to be important to the Wurld stage. With closer cooperation, Argis could feel more than threatened by what we can make of ourselves to Eurth.

The news of the cyber attack on your nation came as a shock to the people of Arome. If, as it it is increasingly appears to be, the actions of a foreign state, then your nation has every right to demand justice for this heinous act. Whilst the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion counsels caution and a full investigation of the matter before conclusions are jumped to, especially if the analysis that this involves not one but two foreign powers acting in concert against your nation. The reaction of the leadership of Côte de Fourrure – one full of smug bravado and discounting the damage that they have done to your nation and its people – suggests that they are indeed at least to blame for the cyber attack. Or, if not directly to blame due to it being a non-state actor within their borders – then dismissive of hurt that it has caused.

Therefore, I have been requested by His Aroman Majesty, Kommodos III, by the Grace of Christ the God, Holy Emperor of the Aroman People and Equal-to-the-Apostles, that the people of Zaxar, your government and your monarch have the full support of people and government of Arome. It is time that the machinations of Great Anglia are opposed not just in Europa but the rest of the glube and your nation's sanctions against this Aurelian minion of theirs does much to further that opposition.

This support is to be shown by the extension of the sanctions that my nation placed against Great Anglia last year to Côte de Fourrure. Should this fail to dissuade them from any more actions that go against your nation, Zaxari or Aroman interests in Aurelia, then the sanctions will be increased. I have decided to write this letter personally to inform you of Ionio's support in this conflict. The deplorable actions of Côte de Fourrure have shown that the current government is led by a bunch of reckless people who only want the instability of the Aurelia region. The hacker attack that your nation has suffered today has shown that the diplomatic route has failed and that war is now becoming the only solution to this crisis. Although Ionio has always been against war because it believes that the diplomatic route is the best solution for everyone. However, we believe that the motivations of your government are right and for this reason that my government has adopted policies on this conflict that are as follows:

1. Ionio will provide military support to your army
2. Ionio has imposed sanctions against political and military figures and the economy of Côte de Fourrure
3. The Guardia di Finanzia has begun the seizure of the assets of Côte de Fourrure present in the Ionio and will be transferred to a fund that will be available to you

Although the situation is constantly evolving, our position has been very clear and if you need any help my nation is ready to help you. If the situation precipitates we could send our army to help you in the war.

I apologize for the time which it took to draft a response to your most welcome letter and hope that you may understand the circumstances which so caused the delay,

 

I would first like to offer our most heartfelt thanks for your commitment to Wurld peace and, in turn, to the plight of the Zaxari peoples known to the Wurld as Côte de Fourrure. Your nation's stance as an ally of the Zaxari people is noticed and will not soon be forgotten. Since the writing of your letter the situation has unfortunately escalated further, as I am sure you are quite aware so I'll spare you the details. This has led to us being forced to take more drastic action than we would normally ever consider and which will be be outlined below.

The Imperial Zaxari Fleet is moving into key strategic locations in the Wampanoag Sea and in the waters around the great Zaxari island of Wampano. The fleet has been tasked with the inspecture of all cargo ships bound for Côte de Fourrure who fly under the flags of any nation who has failed to impose the deserved sanctions on the state. Our courts have determined this a fully legal and responsible action in light of recent rumors of arms shipments passing through our own cherished sea lanes bound for the warmongering state. Should any weapons of war be found on these vessels, they will be seized by the Empire and detained in Zaxar for as long as deemed necessary in the protection of peace.

While these actions may seem an affront to trade in the region and across the glube, they are certainly in the best interest of every nation effected as a war in the region would lead to far greater economic damage than an extra stop in a Zaxari port for inspection. Your nation will obviously be excluded from these checks and allowed total freedom to pass unharmed into Fourruren ports due to your nation's commitment to avoid any arms deals with the country and due to your nation's valued status as a strategic and economic partner.

Further, we would be most grateful for the intelligence assistance offered by your great nation in the hopes of dissuading further Fourruren aggression as well as in finding those who assisted them in their attacks on our state because, while we have made no official accusations, we are well aware of imperialist interference on our continent.

Arhomaneia values our nations' diplomatic and economic ties greatly and sees a bright future ahead of us. This bright future may well be disrupted by the machinations of the Kingdom of Great Anglia and its minion in Aurelia, Côte de Fourrure. Although it is true that Arhomaneia and the Arhomaioi would prefer a peaceful resolution to this crisis, mirroring the feelings behind the call made by the North Adlantic Union, it seems that this is slipping further and further beyond the reach of all those involved. And increasingly it seems that it is beyond the wishes of those involved as well.

The Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion is grateful that your nation is willing to make an exception to the checks that your navy is undertaking on shipping passing through your nation's waters to the ports of Côte de Fourrure. Of course, I do not need to point out that this may have a negative impact on relations that Greater Zaxar has with other nations, as I am sure that your nation has taken this into account. As yet, my government has not yet considered further restrictions on trade between Arhomaneia and Côte de Fourrure. However, if the situation does deteriorate further, there are possibilities towards that end that may be investigated.

Again, I have been requested by His Aroman Majesty, Kommodos III, by the Grace of Christ the God, Holy Emperor of the Aroman People and Equal-to-the-Apostles, to make it clear that the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion and the Arhomaioi stand behind the people of Greater Zaxar. The prayers of our nation are behind yours in these troubling times. They are, of course, prayers for peace. However, it is recognised that the situation may well be slipping further and further beyond that.

Therefore, I have also been requested by His Aroman Majesty to lay before your government an offer. Zaxar is a current importer of arms and armaments produced by Arhomaneia and it is recognised by the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion that more of these would enable the Zaxari military to train and equip more units in order to further dissuade any further aggressive moves by your neighbour. This would have the benefit of meaning that your nation can utilise its current training regimes and will not need to complicate its logistics structures, something that would be a disadvantage were conflict to break out.

To this end, the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion is willing to offer arms and equipment that my nation produces and the Zaxari military utilises at cost. The only additional fee that my government is going to levy is the expense of shipping any equipment to your nation. Any shipments will be transported on ships that carry the Arhomaiki flag. It is felt by my government that this will be enough of a deterrent to dissuade the forces of the minions of Anglia to attempt to prevent the shipments from arriving in your nation's ports.

If your excellency could place this offer behind your emperor and your government, his Aroman Majesty and I would be grateful. Equally, my government would be equally willing to consider the shipment of other military supplies, as well as non-military goods, if your nation so wishes.

It is always a productive day when I have the honor of responding to one of your letters and I have no doubt that this will be no different,

The Empire of Greater Zaxar, its people, and its sovereign are well assured of the great import of our relationship and are not deluded in the slightest of its value to our state. While our southern neighbor has caused us great harm over the past few months, and been a bother to the Zaxari peoples since its second founding centuries ago, we do still strive for peace in Aurelian and the Wurld. However, this peace must be settled by both sides and the Zaxari peoples will not, can not, settle for a white peace when the snow is stained red with un-reparated Zaxari blood. It is far from a neglect to wish for peace, rather an inability to achieve it without violating our sovereignty which we so value.

We are unfortunately well aware of the drawbacks and upset diplomats which our new policy of maritime searches has caused and we regret that we were so inclined to hinder the trade which we know to be so valuable to commerce and the general betterment of mankind. However, these searches are a necessity and have borne fruit thus far in the form of the intercepted weapons shipment which now sits safely away from Fourruren hands in an undisclosed Zaxari naval base.

Further embassy staff have been sent to the Zaxari embassy in Tagmatika in order to better manage our deepening ties and a well suited building stands awaiting Tagmantine diplomats in Bostar, a safe distance from the area of tension but of vital import to commerce, should the Holy Empire wish to increase its diplomatic presence.

For a Considerable period of time, the Democratic People's Republic of Velaheria and the Empire of Greater Zaxar have maintained warm relations not only in terms of political means but also in spheres of economic development in areas concerning the mutual development of both of our states, To hear that such misery has befallen your nation as in to be invaded by people who can be assumed no less than total barbarians is such an unfortunate scenario, and with the major global powers such as Seylos and delameria being unwilling to aid your state, it would be purely an hypocritical and selfish means of act to not aid our allies in the aurelian continent, whom has been desperately trying to repel off an invasion by the Cote De Forrune, whom has called the illegitimate invasion to be something that is to be not insulted, but welcomed on the wurld stage, that is purely shocking...

To say that Velaherians aren't going to do anything about this would be an absolute lie and an insult to the Velaherian spirit of nation hood and the pride of brotherly ties between like minded states, and for that reason, we would like to re-iterate our support not only for the zaxarian countrymen whom have been devastated by this conflict, but also to every aurelian man woman and children, who has the mind to think of an brighter future, and a heart to fight for it, just like we did in our war of liberation against the barbarian dolchs, and thus we would like to introduce these following acts which would make sure that zaxar and it's Aurelian League allies win this conflict, at any cost possible, and ensure that the ties between the two states grow only stronger, with passing time.

- Velaheria would impose Heavy import and export sanctions to Cote De forrune, which would ensure that the supply of any Velaherian made goods inside of Cote De Forrune would be punishable by immediate nationalization of the assets of whichever company decides to act against the imposed sanctions.

- Velaherian armaments would be shipped through naval means, so that zaxarian troops, in absence of seylosian weaponry can atleast rely on their velaherian counterparts for the constant supply of heavy weapons and ammunition.

- The People's Assembly would take legal actions and would send the VFDCDF, to assist in the military operations undertaken by zaxar, and would make sure that they operate under the joint supervision of the VPA and the ZRAF.

We hope that the Zaxarians continue to fight for their freedom and ensure that the ideals of Liberty, Equality and Nationalism truly exist in today's wurld, and that we won't bow to the Anglian menace, even if it means total war!

The Government of Zaxar expresses its deep concern over the recent internal strife unfolding in our ally, Velaheria (@DPR Velaheria). As a nation that values the stability and the well-being of our allies, we are closely monitoring the situation.

Zaxar does not recognize the unnatural government of this "Lily" insurrection, planted by through deception by the state of Orioni (@Orioni).

Zaxar recognizes and respects the Velaherian regime of the VPP in accordance with the laws and constitution of the Velaherian state.

Zaxar stands with the people of Velaheria who have had their rights to popular sovreignty ripped away by agents of false democracy and self-interest. The borders of Zaxar shall remain open to all political refugees of Velaheria and will grant full citizenship to all Velaherian guest workers who wish to remain in Zaxar along with their families upon arrival in the territory of the Empire.

The Zaxari government further declares its interest in the protection of the true government of Velaheria and the men and women of the VPP government.

Furthermore, as a nation with significant economic stakes in Velaheria, primarily Zaxari operated joint-mining projects, we are mindful of the potential impact of the ongoing situation on our economic interests. We emphasize the importance of protecting the investments and assets of Zaxari companies in Velaheria in accordance with the laws and regulations originally set in place and with international law.

Zaxar calls upon the Orioni government to withdraw its forces as soon as logistically possible and to reinstate the true Velaherian government.

Zaxar condemns the actions of the Orinese government for their total disregard for the sanctity of their own word. The Zaxari State calls upon other nations to look back on this example of Orinese deception when considering future dealings with the rouge state. A state is only as good as its promises.
