Guthheimr
@Ateenia Erilaz Kromeus listened intently to the Queen; he did not make eye contact with the translator. He listened to her list off the tribes and he made a mental note. Kromeus drained his coffee mug and filled it with the mead. It would be a long day, as his men made preparations to slaughter the rebellious tribe of Gropmold, should they not submit, " I think it would be a good idea for our nation to be unified yes, in the same way I believe the Norse of Argis can and should unify against a wurld of new ideals, weak ideals. And I believe we can do this without forcing each other to change. " Kromeus smiled and tipped his cup at her, "just as my seemingly dysfunctional family does so. " Kromeus watched the bottle with interest, "Vodka hm? I will send you a case of my finest mead, seasoned with the jewels of the taiga. And you send me a case of your fruit juice," He teased, "Then when we meet we can drink ourselves under the table, or on top of it, " He winked, "As far as trade goes... Each trade agreement must be ratified by me. Send your representatives to the Jarls and you come to an agreement between yourselves. Then this agreement will be brought to me. If I feel the trade is fair you won't hear a thing, unless I feel you are taking advantage of the Jarl or they are being reckless." 4 Link to comment
Ateenia
Guthrum Björnsson, Ateenian ambassador to Ulfheimr, was sitting in his office at the Ateenian embassy in Ulfa, when he recieved a phone call from the Ateenian minister of Foreign Affairs Torvi Helgidóttir. Torvi assigned him, on behalf of the Queen Ena Kalinka, to contact Audigr Aur, the ruler of Farmadr, the Ulfheimr tribe dedicated to their god Njord, to present them and the nation of Ulfheimr with a deal they could not refuse and would benefit both countries. When the call ended, he gathered his things and called Aurdigr, whom he asked for an audiance with. "Greetings lord Aurdigr, I have been instructed by my Queen and my country, to present to you with a mutualy benefitial deal, when can we meet?" 2 Link to comment

"Greetings lord Aurdigr, I have been instructed by my Queen and my country, to present to you with a mutualy benefitial deal, when can we meet?" Aurdigr answered the call from a dimly lit office that was more of a bunker than anything. It was one of the Farmadr's more fortified locations for good reason. Sketches and drafts and blueprints were scattered on the desk of ships and naval innovation. A stack of coffee cups leaned precariously on one side, and Aurdigr himself had bags under his ocean blue eyes. Nevertheless his voice remained hard and strong over the phone, " I'll be the judge of that," He barked, "Come to the southernmost island in our territory. This new wurld is too full of spies and technological ears to speak plainly. We shall meet as our ancestors did. We will see you when you come," 2 Link to comment
Ateenia
Guthrum set off towards towards the island, the moment his phone call with Aurdigr ended. He gathered his documents, walking stick and his other stuff and began his trip towards the southernmost island in Farmadr. He took his white sedan from Ulfa to a port, in Farmadr, closest to the southernmost island. There he got onto a ferry, which took him all the way to the island. Throughout the ferry trip, he stayed to himself, thinking quietly, how he was gonna present the deal his Queen asked him to offer. He thought for sure that there is no way the Ulfheimr would accept a deal that in his eyes was unfairly to the Ateenian advantage, he did not understand what the kingdom he serves, could possibly offer in return, for such a request. When he arrived to the meeting location, he made last adjustments to his appearence. He adjusted his bear coat and made sure his beard was correctly tied, before deciding to step forward towards Aurdigr. "Good evening Aurdigr. I come on behalf of the Kingdom of Ateenia and its queen Ena to present you with a deal that has been already approved by my queen." He took the copy of the deal and put it on the table. It already had already been signed by the queen and only needed signing from the Ulfheimr part. The deal was the following. "- The tribe of Farmadr will allow the Ateenian Sjornher to run a naval base in one of their ports or their piers to house 2 or so vessels that fill the need of early naval response in the Adlantic Ocena, due to the increasing threat from TRIDENT against Ateenia. - The Ateenian navy will in return, allow Farmadr to place a 1 or 2 officers onboard of these vessels that will get to see firsthand the more advanced navy vessels and its devices. They will be allowed to study the ships however must not in any way, disrupt their ability to serve their function to the best of their abilities. - The Ateenian government will promote and permit some of its shipbuilders to open up shop in Farmadr and design vessels for the Farmadr navy." He added that the queen permitted flexability and that Aurdigr can offer further terms, within reason, to make the deal more appealing to both sides so that it may finally be signed and the relations between Ateenia and Farmadr and hopefuly also, Ulfheimr be bonded further. 3 Link to comment

Aurdigr was a tall man whose black hair was salted from the perpetual ocean spray. His hands were visibly rough and calloused, and he seemed to observe everything with visibly narrowed eyes as if gazing on a horizon no one else saw. Around his neck hung a gold coin, one of several holy symbols for njord, the richest of the gods. The meeting took place on a small wooden cabin facing the roughest part of the ocean. Aurdigr approached the visitor from off the pier as a wave crashed over it. He raked his long hair back and cleared the salt from his locks and offered a hand in greeting to the man, "Come," He beckoned shortly and guided them to the cabin. A warm fire crackled. Another man sat at a far table drinking. He wore a salt encrusted bear belt around his bare chest; it was heavily tattooed with symbols of bears and magickal charms alike. He eyed Guthrum heavily. Aurdigr poured his guest a hot horn of mead and sat him at a table. He listened to the terms of the agreement with interest, "It is to my attention that Ateenia is a pagan nation though not like us." Aurgidr took a drink and pondered, "Our kind is growing sparse in Eurth. I look to the christian nations with my small network of information gatherers and I see how the many... 'denominations' fight under a single banner despite their differences. Sometimes they kill each other," He shrugged, "But never to the extent of our faiths. We are a warlike people, we heathens. I think it is time we set aside our differences and hold together against a new eurth that we can no longer ignore. If we wish to worship our gods as we wish, to live as we wish, and to make our destinies free from those who think they know better, then we must put aside our competitions and pride and work together. I accept your agreement with a few additional stipulations," Aurdigr leaned back in his chair, "You are free to invite Grundmund and Sjórel to our shores, but these are the waters of the god Njord and he is a demanding god. Your men will offer appropriate homage. You will offer him a portion of your food and drink daily, and you will allow my men to loudly praise and sing to Njord aboard your ships, else he may demand more than a simple meal from you. In addition to this, we will require donations of your ships electronic equipment, so bring extras with you. Things like the motherboard for your computer systems and schematics of the wiring system. I do not feel this to be an unfair request," 3 Link to comment

He stopped stroking his long, blonde beard and placed both his hands on the table. He took a short breath and continued. "I apologize but these terms are unfortunately unacceptable and my queen would never allow me to agree to it. We will not make offerings to a god that is not ours, I request that you dont ask us to. We also cannot allow your men loudly praise your god on our ships, they may praise him all they want in silence in their own cabin but must not openly praise him, not on our ships. We will not bring our gods to your territory and we will ask that you do not bring your god to our ships. We will however expect to be able to set up a small temple in the our naval base to continue worshipping our gods and can in return let your men keep your gods in that base." He took a sip of mead to cure his dry throat and he continued. "We will also not be able to make you donations of our ships electronics nor will we be able to give you schematics for the schematics are not ours to give. Electronics are simply too costly, instead the shipbuilders that will set up in your lands will instead design you, ships you require and those ships are for you to use as you see fit. If said shipbuilder is the designer of the ship we dock at the naval base, we will give permission on our part for them to give you schematics and certain parts of the ship design for you to research if they are willing," He finished his mead and adjusted his coat and continued. "Does this sound acceptable addition to the already listed terms on the document or must we continue the discussion even further?" If they are to aid us in ship design, then they must aid us in all aspects of the ship which includes electronic wiring design and so forth. I would only assume that you would not offer such a silly partial deal and would carry forth on the design in all aspects. But you know what they say about men who assume," He cracked a grin that was reminiscent of an orca, "This is the only counter offer I am willing to make," 3 Link to comment
