Hello from Ekar!

Hello, I'm Ekar! I'm a long-standing NS RPer for a few years now, with a few nations and MT regions under my belt (I'm the guy behind Lecistan, Pisdara, Ostry, and Saint-Baptiste, if any of those ring a bell). I am deciding to join Eurth for numerous reasons, from what looks to be a very active region to numerous ways to RP as a government and nation.

 

My "goal" with Ekar (which I originally wanted to name "Ukar", curse you NationStates naming options!) is to RP and play as a cosmopolitan and diverse city-state heavily inspired by the ancient Phoenician city-states (a la Byblos, Tyre, Sidon, etc.). Part of why I choose a smaller country is a personal fascination with microstates and small entities that often have to be creative or unique to become relevant on the wurld stage, as well as my own personal life might requiring me to "duck out" of RP for some period (I am working towards my second MA at the moment), something I feel is easier with a smaller state. As of now, Ekar is very a work-in-progress, and I am excited to expand on it in the coming days and weeks!
