Welcome to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kertosono!

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Empire of Kertosono greets and welcomes you to our official international diplomatic liasion office and bureau. Official news regarding Kertic foreign policy, statements, and other documents would be posted here. All international state-level documents directed at Kertosono must enter and be waived via the ministry of foreign affairs. The ministry of foreign affairs will continue to pursue and secure Kertic interests abroad, and maintain cordial relations with allied and friendly states, and is open to new relations if proven to be beneficial.

1. That the Empire of Kertosono is a peace-loving nation, and will continue to make strides and efforts in maintaining that peace throughout the wurld, and that eternal peace, affirmed with a high-standard of human rights, is the sole destination of the Kertic people.
2. That in maintaining that said global peace, an active and free foreign policy would be required by the Kertic state.
3. That in maintaining that said global peace, relations between political entities, both sovereign and supranational, would require representation and an active diplomatic stance between the two parties in an effort to set a common ground.
4. That the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Empire of Kertosono has recieved official statement from The Orioni Empire detailing its wishes to establish diplomatic relations with the Empire of Kertosono

Your Excellency,

The Megas Agios Basileia ton Arhomaion has not often had contact with the Empire of Kertosono. This is not because of any lack of value that the Arhomaioi place upon your great nation – far from it, in fact. The main reason behind this is because of the regionalised nature of relations between nations on Eurth. Most countries are only concerned with what their neighbours are doing and the bigger picture of events passes them by. Whilst Arhomaneia is sometimes guilty of this, it is also something that we try to avoid.

To this end, I have been commanded by his Aroman Majesty, Kommodos III, to offer the Empire of Kertosono an exchange of embassies. It is hoped that this will mean that we can take steps to break down the regionalism and the genuine gulf of distance that exists between our two nations. Whilst events in Europa, where Arhomaneia is, and events in Alharu, the home of your nation, do not necessarily have any impact on each other, fostering communication between nations can only be a good thing.

An exchange of embassies could also be the start of closer cooperation between our two honoured nations. I do not doubt that we have much to offer each other, even if it seems that, on the surface, our nations are quite different. Arhomaneia is, of course, a greatly centralised nation whilst Kertosono seems to value a level of internal independence that does not exist in my home nation. Similarly, both of our nations are deeply religious but profess different faiths. But these differences need not stand in the way of a bright future for either Kertosono or Arhomaneia.

May God see to it that friendship flourishes between our two great nations.

While it has been true our nations have had seldom contact in its histories, the Kertic populace are very content with this proposal of increasing bilateral relations between our two great nations, as well as opening formal diplomatic ties between one another. Even though events in our respective regions do not have a direct impact on the opposing party, it shall not be a barrier for our two great nations to continue and foster an everlasting bond into the future.

While our nations are very dissimilar, that too shall not be a barrier. We are bounded by the same goal of maintaining international peace and marching towards a bright future for our children and their children. As Your Excellency has mentioned, we are also bounded by a strong faith in our traditions and cultures, which unite us better than separate us. After recieving your letter and after a short yet very uplifting discussion with the rest of the ministry of foreign affairs, attended by some members of the lower house, a mutual opening of embassies between our two great nations is what we believe to be the first step in the path towards this said common goal.
