After careful consideration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Ateenia has decided that it will acccept the oppurtunity to send journalists to the Democratic People's Republic of Velaheria, however we have decided that trade between our countries will be heavily restricted to only some goods to be traded between the countries under supervision. 

As a sidenote, the borders between our countries will remain closed with only a few certain individuals being allowed to travel to either country, embassies will not be opened but we are open to the establishment of a consulate with its purpouse being diplomatic communications between the 2 countries. Should Velaheria wish to establish a consulate in Atha, its officials would not be permitted to travel outside the consulate without military police escort.

With this, it is hoped that our nations' relations improve and a partnership can be struck up between us. On the face of it, our nations are markedly different, not least in how they are governed and the fact that we do not share a faith. However, these differences can be the basis for a close friendship, as it is often held that opposites often compliment each other. The similarities that our nations possess can help to strengthen this relationship, too – Arhomaneia has some of the best environmental policies on Eurth and your nation is renowned for its natural beauty. Equally, the Canamo Peninsula is clearly a part of Argis and Eurth that is growing in importance. We, in the ministry of foreign affairs of Ateenia, thank you for your request to restore the formal relations between our 2 great countries that in 2005, our previous Queen Aslaug Kalinka terminated after the unfortunate rumours of massacre against the rebels you fought.
The current government does not belive those rumours to be true and has no reason not to restore the relations between the Kingdom of Ateenia and the Greater Holy Empire of Tagmatium. As such Ateenia will take the chance to establish an embassy in Tagmatika and would like to offer Tagmatium to establish an embassy in Grundvik.

We hope that this will be the first step in restoring the long lasting economic and diplomatic ties between our great countries and bring prosperity for years to come to both countries. As such we would also like to invite Agios Basileos kai Autokrator Kommodos III and his family to visit Ateenia for a feast with the Queen Ena Kalinka of Ateenia and to celebrate the upcoming midsummer festival.

This will likely especially be true due to the Polar Service, a vital trade link between the nations of northern Argis and other parts of the wurld, including Europa. Trade brings contact, and contact between nations and people can often mean that friendships are founded, rather than struggle and conflict that often seems to be the case.

I have discussed the matter of a candidate with the Skrinion ton Barbaron, the diplomatic service of Arhomaneia, and have come up with a suitable candidate. Their name is Ioannina Rogathina, who will hopefully service will as the representative of my ancient country in yours. I have attached their credentials to this communication. If they are not suitable, I would be happy to find another in their place. I welcome the opportunity to meet your representative.

Similarly, I have taken the liberty of selecting a suitable place for your chancery, within the capital of Tagmatika. Again, the details are attached and I hope they are up to the standards of your noble kingdom.

The Kingdom of Seylos expresses severe concern over the Kingdom of Ateenia sending military forces to Baltica at this critical juncture. Peace and diplomacy must take precedence over all else in order to safe guard the lives of innocents caught in the crossfire of this war. Continued escalation of this conflict will only result in the destabilization of Argis, especially as foreign elements like Great Anglia continue to push their agenda in our continent.

We have sent a similar hope to the people of Velaharia. All sides must come together to create a peace deal that can benefit all the people's of Baltica. If Ateenia continues with its deployment of soldiers and engages in reckless warfare that could destroy the lives of thousands, the Kingdom of Seylos will have no choice but to impose sanctions upon Ateenia, as well as calling upon its allies to do the same. We hope, in the name of peace, that Ateenia will use its strength in Baltica to push for a ceasefire and treaty between the warring parties.

The Kingdom of Seylos is deeply disturbed by Ateenia continuing its aggressive actions in Baltica. Instead of using Ateenian influence in the region to help broker peace, Ateenia has instead chosen the path of war and to end more lives without cause.

The Kingdom of Seylos hereby levies sanctions against the government of Ateenia, contingent of them ending their push into Baltica and assisting in peace negotiations:

• Assets of all government officials located within the borders of the Kingdom of Seylos are frozen pending end of sanctions.
• Import and export tariffs on all non-essential goods to and from Ateenia are doubled.
• Seylosian travelers to Ateenia will be limited to business purposes only, this extends to any Seylosian citizen originating their travel to within the North Adlantic Union.
• An additional four day holding period for all banking transactions with an end or origination destination in Ateenia.

We hope that Ateenia will see the sense in ending this conflict and bringing all parties to the negotiating table.

Our great kingdom seeks nothing but peace and stability in lands that surround us, this is why Ateenia has sent our military to protect the innocent citizens of Baltica from the horrors that the evil communist nation of Velaheria and the rebel faction of Dotveska wish to inflict on them. They seek to destroy Baltica with their lies and false hopes while destroying everything our great neighbor stands for. Dear Torvi Torvi Helgidóttir,
The Empire of Great Xio has been deeply disturbed by the actions of the Kingdom of Ateenia in their participation in the ongoing Baltican civil war. Peace has been pushed back further by the involvement of Ateenian armed forces which has only led to more innocents dying. Where the Kauni peacekeepers have been defenders against brutality, and Velaherian men have been keeping the Dolchic, Ras, and Kretian from tearing each other apart, the Ateenians have only caused more harm solely for their own interests. The stability and livelihoods of Central Argis continued to be upheaved due to a childish desire for vengeance by the Ateenian government.

As such, the Kingdoms of Xio, Leho, Hōq'nuka, Dhiikala, Nagaxō, Khao, and the Republic of Nanhong have agreed to enact the following sanctions against the Kingdom of Ateenia until all Ateenian combatants, excluding aid volunteers, exit the internationally recognised borders of Baltica before the civil war (Before February 27th, 2022):

● Ateenian Ambassadors within the Six Kingdoms and Republic will be requested to leave the country in the next seven (7) days with the Ateenian Embassy chancery closed soon after.

● All land property leased by the Imperial Government of Xiohane in all 6 Kingdoms and Republic to members of the Ateenian government after June 2nd will be confiscated and returned to the ownership of the state which the land originally was owned by under the supervision of the Imperial Government, which may be returned once the above requirement is met.

● All 65 aluminium refinery plants and companies associated with them within the Empire of Great Xio will no longer be able to take direct requests by Ateenian companies or the Ateenian government and instead must submit their requests through the Imperial Government to be evaluated. If the request is found to be beneficial for the Ateenian military it will be rejected. This alongside other throttling measures will decrease Xiohane target export of Aluminium to Ateenia by 33%.

● All magnesium refinery plants and companies associated with them within the Empire of Great Xio will no longer be able to take direct requests by Ateenian companies or the Ateenian government and instead must submit their requests through the Imperial Government to be evaluated. If the request is found to be beneficial for the Ateenian military it will be rejected. Xiohane export of magnesium to Ateenia will be capped at 60% current export targets.

● Ateenian businesses within Xiohane will be allowed to continue operating however the Imperial Government will be no longer providing temporary work visas for migrant workers from Ateenia to Xiohane. Visas to live in Xiohane will remain open.

We hope these sanctions, alongside the condemnations across the globe against Ateenian aggression, will aid in reconsidering your actions in the Baltican civil war. Our interest is in keeping the peace within Baltica and we hope the Ateenian government will soon adopt a similar stance.

It is a great shame to all the countries of Eurth that the ongoing conflict in the war-torn nation of Baltikon (@Baltica) is still continuing. Indeed, it seems to have reached a new level of intensity with the involvement of the Regaseion tes Atyneias (@Ateenia). Atyneia appears to have involved itself in the conflict explicitly to combat the forces of the Laiki Demokrateia tes Velahereias (@DPR Velaheria). This is under the ostensible reason of fighting the spread of Communism. This is perhaps hopeful at best – the history of Eurth has shown that Communism as laid down by the teachings of Mark Karl is little more than a spent force, having failed in almost every country it has been attempted in. Indeed, even Velahereia itself has all but given up on this ideology, having become little more than a totalitarian state set up to perpetuate the rule of its oppressive regime.

If the Atyneiki government had seen fit to involve itself by bolstering the peacekeeping attempts started by nations such as the Regaseion tou Seilosiou and Koinopoliteia tes Delamareias, then very few other countries would have batted an eyelid. Indeed, it would have done much to increase the standing of the Atyneioi in the view of the wurld, as at times they have seen to be something of a destabilising force in Argis. This would have enabled the Atyneioi to join in the community of nations of Eurth and meant that they no longer had to endure something of a self-imposed pariah nation at the top of the wurld.

Instead, the commitment of armed forces of Atyneia to Baltikon has done nothing more than to cause the conflict to be prolonged, much more than was initially the case. These actions mean that the benighted Baltikoi will suffer much more, and this is something that must be consequences. In time, it can only be hoped that the Baltikoi will be able to triumph over the adversity that is currently swamping them and become ever stronger.

So, due to the actions of the Atyneiki government, the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion sees fit to announce the following sanctions against the government of the Regaseion tes Atyneias. These sanctions are not aimed at the ordinary people of Atyneia but the regime that governs them. Although they may well cause hardship amongst them, they ought to turn their ire against their government, in order to discourage the government from undertaking further unwise and aggressive action in the future. These sanctions are aimed at reducing the ability of the government of Atyneia to wage aggressive warfare and are as follows:

• A ban on the sale and export export of arms, ammunition and armaments to the involved.
• A ban on the sale and export of raw materials, including but not limited to iron ore, coal, seed oil, petrochemicals.
• A ban on the sale and export of foodstuffs, agricultural goods, farming machinery, transport equipment, heavy machinery.
• A ban on the sale and export of automotive parts, vehicles, machinery.
• A ban on the sale and export of computer equipment, software, hardware, telecommunications equipment.
• Freezing of accounts and financial exchanges relating to the governments of the nations and members of said governments.
• Any vessels, military or civilian, registered in or part of the navies of those nations will no longer be able to use the Dhioryga tou Isthmou, the Isthmus Canal.

Hopefully, these sanctions will cause the Atyneiki government will see sense and curtail their aggressive actions in Baltikon and against the Velahereiki regime. If not, there is of course the risk that the conflict will spill over across Argis. The sanctions will remain in place until Atyneiki government ceases its aggression and withdraws its forces from Baltikon, and that the Atyneioi are taking meaningful steps to ensure that peace is returned to Baltikon. Further to this, Arhomaneia reserves the right to increase the severity of the sanctions, if it does not appear that the government of Atyneia, if it appears that they are not working as intended and encouraging Atyneioi onto the road for peace.

If harsher sanctions do not have noticeable affect on the actions of the government of Atyneia, then further steps will be considered by the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion. Arhomaneia may consider a peacekeeping intervention in Baltikon in order to prevent the forces of Atyneia and Velahereia apart, or other options. As Arhomaneia is keen to promote cooperation with all nations, if this does come to pass, then it will be coordinated with the other peacekeeping operations currently in place. This is because the government and people of Arhomaneia loves peace and wishes nothing more than to see all of the wurld in such a state. It supports the rule-based international order that nations such as Atyneia and Velahereia disregard.

As there are other nations that have placed sanctions against Atyneia, it is hoped that this will soon be enough pressure for their government to reconsider their actions.

If it is God's wish, then peace will once again return to Baltikon. Until then, the people of Arhomaneia will pray that it will do so.

In light of the withdrawal of your nation's forces from the former nation of Baltikon, it appears that it is time that the sanctions that the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion are no longer necessary and they have run their course. The withdrawal from Baltikon can only be considered a victory for Arhomaiki diplomacy, as many other nations followed the example of Arhomaneia and applied similar sanctions to your nation.

However, now is not the time to crow over any success or attempt to rub the noses of the Atyneioi in any such victory. It is the time to attempt to re-build the bridges that were burned during this series of events, especially since your kingdom has been a worthy partner in the past. Because of this, in order to extend an olive branch after our recent degradation in relations, the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion is willing to encourage economic, scientific and technological cooperation between our nations. This may well include opportunities for Atyneiki businesses to cooperate with Arhomaiki ones, in order to help strengthen your nation's economy, as well as access to the Arhomaiki market. It is no secret that the Atyneiki economy is not as strong as it has been, even before the sanctions that were placed against your nation following its involvement in the former nation of Baltikon but this could be the first steps towards improving it. The Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion and the people of Arhomaneia would be grateful if your excellency could put this suggestion towards her majesty, Regasina Ena Kalinka, for her consideration.

I can assure you that any cooperation would be tactful and aware of the history between our nations. My nation would strenuously attempt to allay any fear that this would represent an attempt to undermine your nation's independence in favour of a subservience to Arhomaneia. Whether this be political, economic, cultural or religious independence, the Agios Basilikon Kounsistorion knows that the Atyneioi pride themselves on following their own path.

A strong Atyneia is a great bulwark against the chaos that often seems to be rife in central Argis, as well as the fact that your nation does hold part of the Argic Passage. This is a key trade route across the north of Argis. Although it is felt that the sanctions that my government placed against yours were entirely justified in preventing the situation in Baltikon from spiralling into a wider conflict, a weaken Atyneia at the mercy of other, more predatory powers. A strong, stable and independent Atyneia is in the interests of not just your own nation, but Arhomaneia and the rest of Eurth as well.
