What's going on in Eurth?

Hi everyone I wanted to try out something and see if it's something people would like. Though the time frame can be variable, I'd like to post simple summaries of what has been going on in Eurth to keep everyone on the same page. So let's start the first one.

 

March 22 - April 5 2021

In RP:

• Ahrana:
  • The monarchs of Ahrana take a casual stroll amongst their people.
  • The federal government shows concern over the elections in Delamaria
     
• Delamaria:
  • Vice President Van Roose wins the Delamarian presidential election after a contested recount.
     
• Ateenia:
  • Minister of Finance Karl Jötunhöll, Deputy Minister Frida Sökölheim and Secretary of Revenue Brenda Björk are arrested following suspicions of corruption.
     
• Gallambria:
  • Prime Minister still has made no decision on submarine contracts. Five men are arrested caught importing cocaine. Gallambria human rights watchdogs criticize government for not releasing figures of women stripped of citizenship after going to Qubdi. The RGN’s 1st Fleet returns home after successful deployment.
  • Secretary of Defence Paul Vincent announced the continuation of Territorial Sovereignty Patrols as well as Maritime Security Patrols in the Bashan.
     
• Tagmatium:
  • Tagmatines celebrate continued prosperity despite problems throughout Europa, though worries still exist about government spending.
     

Global:

• The Six Nations Rugby Tournament continues with Eulycea and Gallambria tied for first, Seylos in second, Salvia in third, Batengdai in fourth, and Oyus in fifth.
• Minister Remmen of Prymont declares that Prymont will not support the militarization of Antargis during the 3rd Antargic Council.
• Delegates from Iverica, Prymont, and Delemaria arrive to being talks for ATARA 2nd General Assembly
• Managerial Ambassador General Kisyak Surfirvo of Cashar sits down for a business meeting with General Di Foxycionni, President of San Castillino.
• Delemaria and Tagmatium formalize their diplomatic relationship and agree on their continued support of stabilizing Ceris.
• Seylos and Machina Haruspex resolve their dispute over the island of Corinium. Unable to remove either side from their positions without war, northern Corinium becomes a protectorate under Haruspex, while southern Corinium retains its sovereignty and is offered membership in the North Adlantic Union.
• Sayf brings humanitarian aid to the Ceriser nation of Rewhain. The Seylosians begin the push south against the Sentsis with a series of debilitating airstrikes. Eastern Ceris nations agree with Seylos to form the North Adlantic Union. Salvian troops join their Tagmatine allies pushing west into Northern Sentist territory.
• Tagmatium and Anatea forge more permanent diplomatic relations.
• Delamaria responds to Ahranan concerns of Delemarian unrest.

In OOC:

• People continue the discussion of an international peacekeeping force.
• Creation of a server wide event focusing on the emergent Eurth superpower Great Anglia.
• Shffakia announced an internal rework of their country.
• We’re all doomed.

In Individual Nation RP:

• Ahrana
  • The government passes Act No. 002 and 003 which defines police powers and new economic regulations.
  • Ahrana declares neutrality towards Anglian intentions.
• Ateenia:
  • More conspirators are arrested from the Ateenian Ministry of Finance.
• Delamaria
  • James Leckhampstead Sr. is named Ambassador-General and despite economic growth, Delemarian economists predict a future recession.
• Galahinda
  • Yvee Bloom's personal bodyguard, Monarch specialist Tyler Cliffton, makes an awkward appearance on Galahindan television.
• Iverica
  • Iverican Traders Dump SSI Stocks, buying stocks in Ceris and the Canamo Area instead.
• Machina Haruspex
  • Haruspexian government officials arrive in North Korinon and begin expanding their administration and military presence in the protectorate.
• Oyus
  • Endor Miramil, leader of the ANF meets with the Hand of the Kera. The Oyus Matriarchy hopes the meeting and an agreement could boost the legitimacy of the Matriarchy.
  • Oyus condemns the Anglian invasion of SDC
  • The Oyus Navy will begin stopping and inspecting all Anglian flagged commerce vessels.
• Prymont
  • Aamotech Aerospace begins the process of splitting into different corporate entities following poor business returns.
• Seylos
  • Several eastern Ceriser nations and Seylos formally sign a treaty creating the North Adlantic Union.
• Stedoria
  • The former Stedorian king is put on trial over a decade after their revolution.
• Tagmatium
  • Tagmatine forces make landing to the islands directly north of the Occident attempting to secure Northern Adlantic security after recent events in Corinium.

Global:

• In Europa, Anglia invades and annexes the Social Democratic Confederation. It has also begun diplomatic negotiations with Suverina.
• Oyus reaches out to Tagmatium regarding the Anglian invasion.
• A joint Seylosian/Monarch/Iverican team destroys a Sentists chemical weapons factory in occupied Hodrea. A dark Seylosian secret is rediscovered and chemicals may have left Ceris.
• Commodore McKellar supports the Prymontian position of no militarization of Antargis.
• San Castellino attempts to strike a deal with Sanctum Imperium Catholico.
• The ATARA general assembly continues with opening remarks.
• Tagmatium shows concern over North Korinon.
• The Sunset Sea Islands experiences a surprising coup after transitioning to a technocracy. Foreigners have been expelled and all diplomatic ties have been temporarily cut.
• Open Channels with Sunset Sea Island's "Transitional Government" are a success; compensation and accomodation are granted to foreign nationals

Deep in the Past:

• The Metzlican military watches over the border of Fearannteth, fearing a possible incursion.
• Ruthenia is defeated by Anatea in the Dalstavian War.
