Orioni
Hello @Vostau. Now there's a complete and well-prepared map request if ever I saw one. Culture. A mix of Slavic/Spanish could work looking at your closest neighbours. That location near the Keelpijp sea-way will attract plenty of traders. That can explain diverse influences. Also mind the !Dutch and !East-Asians to your south. Climate. You followed the details of our Köppen map, so that's alright. History. Right now the IIWiki page mentions: "The Vostau peninsula has been inhabited by members of the Homo genus for at least 1.2 million years." The general timeline of Eurth mentions ocean crossing from 50 kya, which is already a stretch. What do we do with this? 4 Link to comment

I can remove that. (Also, yeah, sorry that it's a bit bare bones. It is liable to change - I just want to lock in the land that I'm writing history for) Edited March 28, 2021 by Vostau Added P.S. For an added layer of realism I sprinkled some scientific disagreement on that timeline. If you have a look at the Timeline of Eurth#Stone Age: Another, more controversial theory about the peopling of the 'new wurld' theories that humans could have migrated to Argis from northwestern Europa by boat along the drift ice of the North Adlantic Ocean. This theory is quite popular in Derthalen, but no serious scientists give this idea any credence. I think this is realistic. Although the out-of-Africa theory is dominant in the scientific discours, it isn't the only theory out there. 3 Link to comment

In this case it really was just a matter of me writing it with no clue about the history. I think I'd changed one thing over, but forgot to remove references to pre-human hominids. But thank you, anyway - it's really awesome to see dialogue regarding history. 1 Link to comment
