Hello everyone, this as many of you know has been in discussion for ages.

What is the Alharun War?

The Alharun War was a conflict that officially started in 1945 with the declaration of war between Seylos and Gallambria. Of course, the war spread quickly from there as Seylosian Mandate ambitions grew and much of Alharu become embroiled in the conflict, to the extent where much of the fighting occurred in the continent.

The History

In 1937 in Seylos the Mandate Party was formed in response to a growing idea that Seylos should use it's riches and importance along the trade lines between Europa and the New World as a way to grow its influence, especially by force. By 1939 the Mandate Party had orchestrated a coup and taken control of the government, though much of the Seylosian navy and loyalist forces fled to @Gallambria. In 1942 Seylos annexed @Galahinda which marked the official formation of the Seylosian Mandate. In 1943 Seylos invaded Ceris with intention of conquering the entire island. and in the same year secured the previously Royalist Seylosian city of Kaseka, inside of @Metztlitlaca, causing a diplomatic incident along the way. By 1945 the Seylosian Mandate attacked Gallambira, annexing some of their northern island holdings, only being stopped by a combined Seylosian Royalist and Gallmbrian raid halting ship production. With this, the Mandate turned its conquests to Alharu embroiling itself in a war in the continent for the next several years. Along the way @Salviawould join the Seylosian war attacking Gallambria in Marenisia in a bid to expand its own territories. Several other nations along the way became embroiled in the conflict such as @Oyus and @Eulycea spreading the fighting even farther.

 

So this OOC thread is to mark interest in either joining the RP or any sort of comments that need to be made concerning your own nation's history regarding the conflict.

I indicated some time ago that I didn't see any way in which I could sensibly be involved or would like to be. Thus, it might be best to exclude me from this unless there is some ideas that don't mess with the timeline of how my history shakes out.

@Seylos As a non-participant, I just wanted to point out that this article on the Great Alharun War https://iiwiki.us/wiki/Great_Alharun_War seems to have three different durations:

• 1944-1953
• 1945-1968
• 1972-1975

I'm not sure which actual period is correct. Of course you can always edit it.

The wiki for this is actually very out of date, we've been putting together documentation in Discord and have changed a lot of things around. Right now the war would officially kick off in 1945, slowly drag in other participants and end in 1953.

Darn, i see the beginning of this cool war that i waited for just now ç__ç

 

Anyway i would gladly join this war with my nation, but at the beginning by sending just an expeditionary force made of volunteers like Italy and Germany did during the Spanish Civil War or USA did at the beginning of WW1 and WW2 (surely pilots, because Anatea's Air Force is the main branch of the armed forces). For now i don't know about in which side i'll fight with, because i have to rewrite again my history for make it more interesting and with more possibilities of interactions with both NPC and Player nations 😮 but count me in in this rp °^°
