ALENVEIL FESTIVAL TAKES A TURN FOR THE GREAT

The Alenveil Festival of Nights has been kicked into high gear and they couldn't be any happier! The Festival of Nights, their country's birthday, has gone off without a hitch with its celebration of Baldrick's conquest of the Alenveil territories and establishing its kingdom. The royal Pollo family adores this holiday and takes it very seriously, and has even started a banquet for citizens of Sarbo. They have plays reenacting Baldrick's crusade, folk music, and signature food items. The best part; it's open to each member of the public!

POLLO AND POLO

At 3:42 PM today, Alenveil King Damocle La Pollo visited the lovely country of Mauridiviah on behalf of a trade deal regarding tariffs on various different goods. Mauridiviah traded sugar and foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, and weed and tobacco, and Alenveil traded fish, pastries, and gold. We assume that trading relations will continue and might even improve!

CITIZENS PANICKING AS ZOMBIE PRESENCE THREATENS ALENIAN BORDERS!

With undead presence circling all around the country of Alenveil, citizens are beginning to worry for their safety. For them to successfully protect themselves with their 1% of manpower, they would need to arm all of it, and that may not be possible, should the undead citizens blast through the entire army with one fell swoop. Citizens are worried, and the government is cornered. Who knows what might happen next?

Update!

ALENIAN FESTIVAL OF NIGHTS WILL BE POSTPONED ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY

Because of rising undead attacks, the Alenian Festival of Nights will be postponed and Alenveil residents will be encouraged to stay inside to protect themselves against the undead citizens. The Government has sent in national guardsmen in order to protect different cities from attacks. Updates on the situation will follow.

KING POLLO FINALLY ACTS: GUARDSMEN WILL BE DEPLOYED ALONG BORDERS

In the destructive wake of the undead menace, King Damocle La Pollo finally acts. At 12:09 PM today, he finally allowed for  Alenian National Guard to mobilize along the northern and eastern borders. Neo-Enclave soldiers and vertibirds will also be deployed to assist Alenian forces. Soldiers may take a few hours, if not even days, to reach their stations. Even then, this still gives the citizens of Alenveil hope, even if this hope doesn't last.

MEMORIAL TO REPORTER OSCAR CERCONE

Within a few days, the undead overtook almost the whole country. The guards were able to keep them back, but one man was brave enough to go out in the front lines to find out the truth of this situation. No weapons, not even a cure. This man was a reporter of the tribune by the name of Oscar Cercone. This man was cheery but punctual and never let anything get in the way of his work. Some may have even though he was insane, going out in the center of tropical depressions, snowstorms, gunfire, just to understand the truth of this confusing world. He died doing just that. One of the most devoted citizens we had, sent into death, and then undeath, and then death once again. His family is mourning as well as the millions who read his articles. Oscar Cercone, as well as millions of families who lost their wives, husbands, and children. They are gone, but they are not forgotten.

ARCHAEOLOGY - SIGNS OF CIVILIZATION FOUND IN VEROLIERI

Nearby the southeastern town of Verolieri, a man named Namazio Sinagra  was taking a stroll through the forest to clear his head when he found a strange, mossy stone protruding from the ground near the Shelroy Hills. 

"My work had been stressing me so much that I decided to take a walk. Before I knew it, I found a stone. I went back and grabbed a shovel to dig it up, thinking 'Did I just find some treasure?' and it just kept going the further I went."

He ran back to his home and called local archaeologists. They began digging a few hours ago, finding nothing but more stone.

"It could be just a monument, something ancient Alenians used to revere gods," archaeologist Matteo Arlotta speculates. "We can't stop now because you can never be sure. Who knows, this could be a clue to unlocking the Limonaian Merchant Texts." 

The Limonaian Merchant Texts have left the merchants head-scratching for decades and could be the key to unlocking how Alenveil came to be. This text is the only credible, primary source that dates back before 1542. Radiocarbon dating in the parchment appears to hint towards the texts dating to the late 1400s. Archaeologists have chipped off parts of the discovered stone piece to use for potassium-argon dating. Archaeologists and historians around the country are excited to no end and are waiting anxiously for the results of the dig.

VEROLIERI DIG: CIVILIZATION FOUND!

After almost a week of digging, Matteo Arlotta and his team of archaeologists have struck gold! Well, archaeological gold. After digging up the stones, discovering walls and what used to be doors, their excitement went through the roof when they finally found what the Limonaian Merchant Texts had been referencing for 500 years, the language that had historians scratching their heads for years. Archaeologists have discovered concrete proof of the precursor language that the Limonaians spoke of. Written on stone tablets and written in a transcript today is the language preceding Limonaian. 

Historians haven't been able to decipher what it means, but the discovered stone tablet, about the size of a palm, was sent to the Sarbo Museum of National History to be put on display. People will pay close attention to other dig sites. There's always the question; why was this information lost? It seems impossible that a language of this much complexity would ever be lost to time and, somehow, it was. Was there some kind of storm that sent old Alenian civilizations into the sea? Was there a war that broke out and buried these stone tablets? We may never know.

The main problem Historians have to resolve is deciphering this text. It is incredibly complex and seems to not just be a simple cipher. Digs will continue and updates on this situation will follow.

DIGS CONTINUE AS ARCHAEOLOGISTS UNCOVER "DIVOT"

A few days ago, Arlotta Archaeology gained another tip from another small town who suspected a nearby divot was too large and too refined to be made by an animal, and suspected that it could've possibly had human origins. Excavations have begun and has discovered an odd, stone ring in the ground with more and more dirt, but archaeologists suspect that there is more afoot. 

"Aresi has always been known for its age," Director Arlotta states about the town where the divot was found. "It wouldn't surprise me that an exhibit would be begun. Really, it was only a matter of time." 

Excavation began at about 15:00 yesterday, and has started to unearth more and more. As this is being published, they continue to dig, uncovering more and more with every minute that passes. Updates will continue.

ALENIAN GOVERNMENT SET THEIR SIGHTS ON SOUTHERN COASTAL ISLANDS

Prime Minister Tartaglione has recently proposed the idea of spreading to the islands off the coast. More specifically, the southern island. Their plan for the island is to convert it into a trading post.

Prime Minister Tartaglione has stated in an address that "we hope to establish a trading post to increase our influence on Eurth and to help increase our trading imports and exports." We wait for the confirmation that this is, indeed, coming into effect. Until then, we will keep readers posted.

ARCHAEOLOGY - "ARESI STONE" DISCOVERED!

After years of absolutely no way of knowing our past history, reading incomprehensible symbols and letters, Arlotta Archaeology has discovered something that could change the history of Alenveil once and for all.

A large stone tablet measuring about 1 meter by 0.7 meters by 0.03 meters was discovered recently in the town of Aresi. The "Aresi Stone" is a large message carved with the original symbols found in various archaeological exhibits. However, there is a catch. On the backside of the large stone tablet, there lays a translation written in Old @Prymontian and @Limonaia

Not only does the discovery of the stone and its contents prove ancient relations with Prymont that have been theorized for years, but this also shows that we possibly have a piece of information that could explain why the language shifted in the first place, a theory that has left historians and linguists scratching their heads for decades.

With the translations provided by Limonaian and by the Ancient Prymont texts, translation of the primitive language can begin very soon, with the help of foreign historians from Prymont.

KING LA POLLO VISITS @PyeMcGowan TO MOURN FALLEN SOLDIERS

In response to the problems relating to the Anybyniaet Andirswn terrorist group in @PyeMcGowan, King La Pollo has effectively recognized this neighbor's problem and has visited the country in order to bring recognition the 4 fallen soldiers that ended up losing their lives in the retaking of one of their strongholds.

King La Pollo, being head of state, effectively loaded into his transport aircraft at about 3:13 PM this afternoon and is expected to arrive at PyeMcGowan soon, hopefully before the funeral begins. The Alenian-PyeMcGowan Ambassador, Vasco Librizzi, will be visiting alongside King La Pollo to ensure his protection as well as form possible diplomatic deals as well. We wish our leaders good luck in their visit.

MILITARY ACTIVITY IN AURAID BAY SURGES AFTER AMBASSADOR IS ARRESTED IN THEODORIA

Yesterday at about 5:34 PM, a @PyeMcGowan Ambassador was arrested in @Theodoria due to alleged spying to the PRS (PyeMcGowan Regional Security) after 25 Theodorian embassy staff were fired for stealing information and the attempted murder of Kurt Von Dawson, Theodorian refugee-journalist. 

Speculation of what's to come has begun, and people are starting to worry for the future.
"We think that, with what's been going and how different our nations are to one another, possible economic intervention and, at worst, military intervention might occur." Adriana Francis, military theorist states. "Satelite imagery has already shown the Auraid Border Defense System that was implemented in September of last year being flooded with PyeMcGowan soldiers, aircraft, and military vessels.

Although King La Pollo is enraged, this is much more personal than Prime Minister Tartaglione would let him get away with. Unless Theodoria threatens Alenveil directly, or war is to actually begin and threaten PyeMcGowan, war is very unlikely. Officials in the Direttore branch have refused to answer our questions, which leaves citizens speculating and imagining outcomes instead. Prime Minister Tartaglione Tartaglione has confirmed, however, "a portion of our military will be stationed at the ABDS alongside PyeMcGowan military to ensure that nothing happens between the two nations. If we have to step in and stop this problem before it starts, even if we have to perform a quick military action, we will. Theodoria will not threaten our country for as long as it survives on Eurth."

PRIME MINISTER TARTAGLIONE LYING ABOUT FISHING RIGHTS?

Yesterday, Prime Minister Tartaglione visited @PyeMcGowan to discuss Auraid fishing rights. At 7:15, he entered the Blue Merchant's Hall and the press were quickly shushed out of the room before they spoke after beginning pictures were taken. However, our reporter Loki Freymarsson noticed that there were military planners and generals present in a merchant's summit. 

Freymarsson even spoke to the Prime Minister himself and he was acting very sheepish and quick to try and get Loki out. "Tariffs on imported foodstuffs are being lowered," he told him with a stutter. So, the question remains, is the government lying to us? If so, what could they be lying about? Is it war? Government conspiracy? ANT will continue to investigate this issue.

INDIANA ARLOTTA AND THE ARESI STONE

Matteo Arlotta is at it again, and this time he's enlisting help! Enlisting the help of @PyeMcGowan, @Limonaia, and even the @Sunset Sea Islands to help decode the Aresi Stone. It is currently being sent to the Alenian Museum of National History in Sarbo to be examined by Arlotta, his team of archaeologists, and the other nations invited to the museum. "Uncovering something this big has been my dream since I've been a child. Never once did I ever think I would accomplish something like this!" says Arlotta, examining a slab with the Alenian primitive language inscribed all over it.

Not only are Arlotta and the archaeology community excited, but a new group of people that have been popping up all over Alenveil have been excited about it too, and are ecstatic about what Mr. Arlotta plans for the stone. Under the name "The Kogaan Preservation Union," they preserve the culture of the ancient societies that once lived in Alenveil and have ensured that multiple archaeologist companies keep the artifacts in museums. A side-effect of this preservation is, however, that they harbor a strong hatred from Limonaia, the ones who are credited for "tainting the culture itself and destroying what we lived for," and they despise the action of inviting Limonaia to this council.

"This is, quite simply, an invitation to do what they've done in the past. Limonaia will infiltrate our society, act nice and passive, open trade opportunities, and then take us over once again. They still refuse to apologize for what they've done to us and our culture. It's disgusting to think that this country has diplomacy in Limonaia after what they did to us," shouts the group leader who insists that we call him "Roksek."

"I respect his [Matteo Arlotta's] decision, but I don't think that Limonaia should even be here," Roksek continues. "Once they finish their tests on the stone, the Limonaian archaeologists should get out and then Arlotta can donate the Aresi Stone to the museum where it belongs." Matteo Arlotta does seem to be going through with the action of including Limonaia in this, which will likely cause tensions to grow within the KPU and Arlotta Archaeology. The archaeology community, however, looks to the future with hope as this chapter in our history is finally being unearthed.

KING DAMOCLE LA POLLO DELIVERS WONDERFUL RESPONSE TO THE DAWSON ATTACKS

After the sudden terrorist attacks on the people of @PyeMcGowan today and yesterday on the King Wendover Statue, Queen Wilhelmina Street Metro Station, and many other landmarks, His Royal Highness delivered a response to the attacks later this morning at the Virunum Palace, many press accounts being taken by 3rd party news agencies and our own Sarbo Broadcasting Channel. The speech has been documented on the SBC channel and will be replayed for those who can't watch it. We give our major condolences to the people of PyeMcGowan and their families. This is a truly tragic day, but hope will be found.
