Brief History: PyeMcGowan founded in 1200 when the two kingdoms of PyeMcGowan united creating a monarchy. Turned into a constitutional monarchy in 1756.From 1947-1955 PyeMcGowan was ruled by a Communist Dictatorship, with George Hamner as the Supreme Secretary General of the Republic .Democratic Party became dominant in 1970 with most elections for Prime Minister being democratic Victories. Much of PyeMcGowan’s 21st century Politics was influenced by the Ferguson Shooting, where a group of 15 gunmen ,from a racist group, started shooting all of the students at Ferguson Multicultural Collage, there were 234 deaths. The effects of the shooting resulted in the nationwide crackdown on guns. Now there are only guns available for Security services and the military. Despite having a Democratic Government today PyeMcGowan has a large private sector and is home to United Corp.

Hello @PyeMcGowan,

Thank you for this application. Here is some first feedback and advice.

  1. Factbook. This still looks like a major WIP. https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=885025 I'm sure you'll expand upon this once the map placement is in order.
  2. Newsroom. Some articles are rather short. Then again, you included a family tree. For your news update, try to follow the 5 W's as explained in §3 of http://www.europans.com/wiki/worldbuilding/ You can also look to other newsrooms for inspiration on style.
  3. Location. I agree with @Sunset Sea Islands that NE Argis would be the best cultural fit. You get the advantage of fellow Anglic nations, with the proximity of communism to explain your history.

Conclusion: improve the newsroom with deeper updates about what's going on and your application will be approved.

I would prefer to be near the Canamo sea, not far from the large cluster of nations in Mid Argis, but I would also like to be relatively North, possibly near @Prymont . I also added the link to my new Factbook on IIWiki.

Adding some feedback and suggestions for @PyeMcGowan as I've been mentioned here.

The above link is my expansion plans for the next couple of years. As you can see, points 2 and 3 see me taking over the left side of the Canamo Sea, as it's been barren and void of RP since the new world was created. That doesn't leave much room for you around the Canamo, unless you want to slot in between myself and @Ahrana - however, @North Dniester was also interested in that area but he's been a bit inactive as of late, so you may want to discuss that with him.

On the right, I've planned a massive expansion that'll take up lots of unused space, that is mostly uninhabitable - quite a large portion of it will be like Siberia. As it stands, a large part of Prymont is already too cold for year-round inhabitation, which is part of the reason why I'm expanding southwards, so slotting in somewhere northeast of my current location doesn't make much sense either.

You've also mentioned being a Celtic nation, and the area around central Argis is quite Scandinavian/Slavic/Germanic, so you'd stick out like a sore thumb there. If you want to keep a cold, northern climate, there's lots of space in eastern Argis, around @Theodoria and @Astriedan.

As discussed with @PyeMcGowan on Discord earlier tonight. The location has been decided. It will be in NE Argis, next @Theodoria and @Astriedan.

Included are some cities. These are their names.

  • Yellow (capital): Charleston
  • 1: Dawson
  • 2: Hagren
  • 3: Wendover
  • 4: Endeavour
  • 5: Riversea

And the bay to the south will be labelled as the Auraid Bay.
