Princess Eve and Prince George announce third child on the way!

Today Somerville Palace (Prince George and Princess Eve’s family home) announced that Princess Eve is pregnant for a third time. The couple have received some controversy, after it was discovered that the two were very distant cousins, and that technically Princess Eve was already a Princess before marrying Prince George, but the couple have said that they had no idea of any family connection and doctors have confirmed that no child of theirs will be effected because of it.

Minister of Finance Brock Humsway arrested after being found guilty for corruption

Today Federal Police broke into the Ministry of Finance and ran up the stairs. A Policeman reported that Mr Humsway tried to escape through the elevator, as the doors opened to reveal a team of officers, who promptly arrested him. The Former Minister will go to court on the 25th of September.

Charleston Palace reveals new Information on the kings death

The King was found dead in bed at Charleston Palace’s South Room, on the morning of September 14th.He had died from a coronary thrombosis — a blocking of blood flow to the heart as a result of a blood clot in an artery. He was found to be dead by one of his maids as she poured him some tea. The Maid, Margaret Chamberlain, has stated “As I walked in with my tray, I noticed that he wasn’t responding. I thought that he must still be sleeping, which was odd since the king usually enjoyed waking up quite early, so I waited 5 minutes before gently nudging his shoulder. And then I noticed he had gone very pale and wasn’t breathing. Then I checked his pulse, that’s what made me realise that the king was dead. I called for help immediately, but there was nothing they could do.” The Royal Doctor, Dr David Wendover, discovered the reason for his death a short 5 hours later, before the king’s body was moved to his coffin.

GENERAL ROUNDUP

• The Governor of Anderson province has announced plans for an independence referendum to take place after a meeting with the Prime Minister. The Province has always had a large independence base, due to the areas distinctly different culture to the rest of the nation.
• Dawson city remained without power for all of Friday and this morning, when the city’s power grid was hacked into by an unknown group of hackers who call themselves ‘the Tiger’s Roar’. The Provincial Government has announced that the National Cyber Security Taskforce CybOps (Cyber Operations) has taken control of the case.
• Charleston FC are to play Wendover Blues, The raining national Champion, in the final round of the National League. This follows the Wendover Blues’ manager Cole Chrisman resigning on Monday, so could this give Charleston a chance? Football Commentator Henry Wensfield thinks so!
• And finally, The Singer Cathy Jenkinsen-Flugensen has visited Camp Fierce in the Argic ice, following many of the scientists having to leave due to a heating malfunction in the Housing, leaving 15 with frostbite. This has given hope to many of the researchers who are conducting vital experiments.

HISTORY MADE SHORT 

The History of Transargic Oil (TAO), The First Monopoly in PyeMcGowan

Transargic Oil, Standard Amenities as it was called in the beginning, was founded by Ronald Jenkins in 1915 as a gold mining company in the gold rich province of Wendover. Jenkins was a privlidged man as he was born in 1870 into a rich family that owned many gold mines in the Wendover Gold Rush. He worked for his fathers company, Jenkins Mining, as a CFO until 1900 when he became a stock broker in Charleston, there he made upwards of 3 million Poggles, worth 10 Million today. He quit the stock market and married to Martha Jenkins in 1910. After he moved back to Wendover, just down the road from his parents house, he purchased 25 km² of land in Southern Wendover. From there with only half his budget he went on a spending spree hiring any able persons and every digging machine in sight! He spent two years digging, and he did find some gold, but not enough, he decided to dig all across his land and didn’t get very deep in enough time, causing a gigantic loss of over 5 million Poggles( Worth 15 million today)! Eventually, with help from his family, he got on track and dug in the same area before moving on. This was a massive success! He made 10 Million in his first year of digging(30 Million today) but gold and silver was losing its value, but Ronald met an old friend from the stock Exchange, his name was David Georgeson and he was making it big with oil. This inspired  Jenkins to sell his depleated land in Wendover and buy oil rich land in the northern provinces. From there in 1915 he founded Transargic Oil, and begun digging for oil. At its peak in 1924 TAO was producing 5 million barrels of oil a week which was too much for PyeMcGowan, so TAO started exporting across the Argic Sea and throughout mainland Argis. Over the years TAO became more powerful and started buying up all of the oil companies in PyeMcGowan, effectively becoming a monopoly. But in 1939 the Bank of PyeMcGowan’s Corporate regulation committee dismantled the organisation into many smaller groups. But Ronald kept shares in them and became very rich in his later years. Jenkins died in 1950, which was also the year that communists took control of PyeMcGowan and started executing all wealthy businessmen. As his family, including his son, George Jenkins and daughter Andrea Jenkins, moved to the Leverne Islands, along with over 2 million residents including the royal family, they took with them a sum of over 14 Billion Poggles! The expanded Family moved back to PyeMcGowan in 1963 after the communist government was overthrown. Now members of the Jenkins Family are in top positions across the world including Board members of United Corp Edward Jenkins and Simon Jenkins. Of course the Jenkins were a charitable bunch as they founded the Jenkins International Foundation, which funds orphanages and refugee housing across the world.

• United Corp allowed to buy Dosney! Today at the Bank of PyeMcGowan Corporate Regulation Court, Judge George Xavier, after a month of research, gave United Corp the green flag for its expensive purchase of the media conglomerate Dosney. This has raised concerns, with protestors asking the court to break up United Corp, as they shouted “End the Monopoly! End the Corruption! End the oligarchy!”, The leader of the protest, Katie Korpen, said that if United Corp was broken up, the PyeMcGowian economy would receive a significant boost, but PNN Business Simulations and statements from the Bank of PyeMcGowan say that this would be a devastating move from the bank.
• Schools in Wendover allow mobile phones. The Education Council of Wendover have allowed students of state run schools to use their mobile phones during break times, this only applies to children over the age of 10 and will come into effect in December. But this won’t effect many students because of the large number of Private schools in Wendover, PNN looks more into Wendover’s wealth in the upcoming History made short.
• Ancient Town found near Charleston. A recent archeological survey in the Counties of South Charleston and Carmarthenburg revealed a large town dating from around 500 BC, some archeologists suggest that around 1500 people could of lived there! Making it the largest town from 400-600BC found in the Capital Provinces.
• Small budget airline Sernensen Express goes bust! Yesterday the airline Sernensen Express went bankrupt after it cancelled half of its flights. So far 50000 people are left without their money and are unsure who to contact, the National Flights Administration has told us to distribute this number for people who need info on their money and tickets. 111655 123879.

THE WEALTH OF WENDOVER

AND HOW IT MADE SERNENSEN POOR

The story of Wendover’s wealth starts in 1789 when prospectors found gold in the eastern counties of Wendover and it’s neighbor Sernensen, at first only small amounts were excavated due to the prospectors little wealth, but as the rich discovered the possibility of making it big with gold, billions in today’s money were pumped into the rural counties of eastern Wendover and Sernensen, as you can see today this dramatically changed the landscape of these areas, as once green farms became gigantic open mines constantly searching for gold. In 1835 the Provincial Government Act was introduced, this allowed provinces to set up their own state owned companies, this is what Sernensen did, they completely got rid of private gold mining companies and replaced them with their own. But as time went by the rich stopped investing as much into Sernensen, but it wasn’t completely bad, as the rich kept buying shares in these companies, but the Governor of Wendover, Lord Harold Godwinson, arranged subsidies for companies wanting to move to Wendover. And as that was arranged a final nail was nailed into Sernensen’s coffin. As Sernensen was failing Wendover was booming as the Rich wouldn’t stop pouring into Wendover, starting lavish communities, filled to the brim with millionaires and billionaires. Today there is still a significant sum of gold deep beneath Wendover, but almost none in Sernensen due to its state owned businesses going crazy over mining whilst the gold price in that province was fairly low. But now Investors in Wendover are spending Billions on companies like SpaceOne, XMine and Mont Space as they all plan to mine asteroids within the next 15-20 years.

PRIME MINISTER GEORGE LONDON CALLS FOR SNAP ELECTION TO PROVE HIS LEADERSHIP OF THE LIBERAL PARTY IS BENEFICIAL!

Today at a cabinet meeting, the PM called for a Snap election to take place tomorrow. This was a risky move from the PM as the Conservative Party has been growing in strength over the past months. This is due to the increasing number of more wealthy people in the nation. The conservative party’s popularity has only been boosted as its leader Edward Charlesburg has cast out all of the far right members of the party.

So could this be the end of the Liberal Party’s reign? We will just have to find out tomorrow evening.

CENTRIST PARTY WINS THE SNAP ELECTION!

Despite beliefs that the Conservative or Liberal Party would win the centrist party has won with a 49% vote compared to the conservatives 30% and the Liberal’s 20%. The leader of the Centrist party, George Willowston, will become the new Prime Minister tomorrow morning. The King, who is still uncrowned, will inaugurate Williowston at Sommerfield Palace. The party supports women’s right to choose, Gay Rights and Multiculturalism along with it supporting both Small and Big Businesses.

Today at Sommerfield Palace, Charleston, The (uncrowned) King read aloud the Decleration of Rulership to Mr George Willowston as the eyes of the nation looked upon him via PNN Live TV coverage. At the end of the inauguration PrimeMinister Willowston was asked if he had any other comments to say, and he said “PyeMcGowanig am Byth, Fory Newydd Heddiw” translating to PyeMcGowian Forever, New Tommorow, today.

• The Provincial Government of Anderson will debate the possiblility of an Independence referendum in the future. The Probince has always had a very distinct form of PyeMcGowian Culture and has its own dialects of the three Languages of PyeMcGowan, which is a driving force of the independence campaign.
• The New PrimeMinister has received his new Home and transport following his inauguration, as tradition goes the new PM will revive a new Limousine and helicopter, whilst reusing his predecessor’s airplane.
• United Corp has officially bought Dosney, after a long legal process, the P2.5 Billion acquisition has taken place. The CEO of United Corp has stated that the Dosney Spirit will stay the same and no major changes will be made.

 After 5 Months of Planning, The State of Anderson will receive an Independence referendum in Early November. The Government has released some information on many topics, most notably the options on the ballot, they will be: Independent, Remain a State, vassal nation or become a Principality of PyeMcGowan, another vote will be presented to Anderson later on , on what their government structure will be if they choose to become a nation or vassal, and the options will be Republic, Parliamentary Republic or Constitutional Monarchy.

This has lead major corporations such as United Corp and Axbridge to attend auctions for these companies with confirmation that United Corp has pre-ordered Standard Amenities and is in negotiations to buy North Hagren Oil Company.

Earthquake detected in Auraid Bay!

A FEW MOMENTS AGO a seismic reader at the seabed of the Auraid Bay detected a 6.5 magnitude earthquake along the Deartynn faultline.

The coastguard has announced that a cargo ship lost some of its cargo, along with the deaths of 3 crew members. The coastguard has advised people to stay away from the coast and seek higher elevation in case of small tsunami waves. The natural disaster act will be put into effect if there is a tsunami!

 

The government has asked people not to panic. This information will be passed on to the nation's neighbors, namely  @Theodoria.

OIL FOUND IN THE AURAID BAY FOLLOWING EARTHQUAKE

Yesterday after a joint venture between PyeMcGowian and Alenveilian Scientists made an unexpected discovery, during the placement of a monitor on the seabed, as they found traces of oil around 4 nautical miles off the coast of PyeMcGowan and Alenveil. Following this United Commodities’ stock has skyrocketed by +$37 as the company’s parent, The United Corporation, also owns small islands in the bay with small scale ports that could be used for the deployment of oil rigs.

The Effects on the other Auraid Bay Nations will also be large, as the expanding economies of the region surely will gain a major boost from this discovery. The Prime Minister has stated that we must be careful not to dramatically effect the enveiroment which is home to the rare Auraid Scalpon.

• RCS PACT COMMITMENT MEETING. Today a Parliamentary Inqury was held to discuss PyeMcGowan’s commitment to the RCS Pact,  an Economic and Military Defence Pact between PyeMcGowan, Alenveil and Neo-Enclave, As new polls suggest that MPs Arnet so keen on PyeMcGowan’s Military involvement. The MP for Faxton on Water said “I get why we would want to support a neighbor, and a constitutional one at that, but why the Neo Enclave? They are an Undemocratic Absolute Monarchy which is really quite far away from the PyeMcGowian People who pay the taxes that fund our commitment!”, whilst the MP for Degorniton stated “My constituents share a common culture with the Neo Enclavites, and we are hole harteadly in support of the RCS Pact!”, The Director of the inqury, Sir Rupert Berson will make a decision on whether a vote will be submitted to Parliament on Saturdays Parliamentary Gathering.

1. ANDERSON INDEPENDENCE VOTE, the referendum on Andersonian Independence will be held today after months of hard campaigning from all three sides (Independence, Remain and Vassal) the general public will be allowed to vote on the option they think best. The Governor of Anderson has taken no official position, but he has said that he would be behind any decision made by the Andersonians. We will just have to see what they choose. But either way PMN will be constantly broadcasting!
2. RCS WITHDRAWL VOTE, Today in a shocking turn of events, Parliament voted to leave the RCS Pact and become an observer state. What is the RCS Pact? Well The RCS Pact is an economic and military alliance of three nations: PyeMcGowan, Alenveil and the Neo Enclave. Sylvet is also a member, but only economically. 
   It was founded following the Ravenrock Treaty of 1975 during the turbulent era of the Cold War. The organisation comprises two bodies, economic and military, The economic body was created first, and its purpose is to benefit trade.

ANDERSON INDEPENDENCE VOTE RESULTS

A FEW MOMENTS AGO, ANDERSONIAN OFFICIALS RELEASED THE RESULTS OF THE RECENT INDEPENDENCE VOTE THAT TOOK PLACE LAST THURSDAY, And the people of Anderson will narrowly remain PyeMcGowians with a narrow 50.5%, Vassalge with 32.5% and Independence with 18%. It was expected that 7.5 million took part in the referendum and it had a much larger turnout than expected following polls that suggested that only 60% would vote whilst 84% actually did.

So what does this mean for the future of Anderson?                                    

The Government has promised Anderson more devolved Powers, handed to its Provincial Assembly , such as policing, tax rates, healthcare and borders(Land and sea) as the province shares a border with @Theodoria. The Andersonian Independance Party’s membership has fallen by 60% over the past few weeks which has just added insult to injury as their leader, Alex Jones, Said that “Theodorians are filthy German rats, that don’t deserve a town never the less a nation!” Despite his parents, who he said were “true patriots”, were Theodorian Immigrants. This caused a massive backlash, when documents were leaked in 2014 of his plans for independent Anderson, he called it “A pure utopia, with children playing, men working, and women cleaning” following this outrage he was put under house arrest in his 9 million Poggle estate north of Dawson. Further trialing will occur on December 10th.

What about the rest of the country?

Well this has raised questions on weather other parts of PyeMcGowan should be given the vote, such as the Leverne Islands, but as Commentator Rick Fielding stated in 1989 at Jones Island, The Leverne Islands must always be PyeMcGowian. But what about The State of Hagren? Many have asked, Well they do have a rather distinct culture and viable reasons to secede, but they are heavily based on industry with only transport routes to PyeMcGowan and many Hagrenians don’t have basic knowledge , whilst Hagren’s leaders are quite corrupt and don’t care for the poor, and with no knowledgable incorruptible persons to lead there is only but a failed state waiting for an independent Hagren.

• THE KING’S SPEACH. At midday on Christmas the annual Speach performed by His Majesty the King George takes place. He spoke about his recent coronation, and the aftermath of his fathers death. But he also pledged that the royal family would sell Anderson Palace and donate the earnings to the Royal Trust, a charity founded by King William in 1968. The trust supports impoverished regions of the world.
• THREE DEAD IN HAMMINGSGATE HALL. On Christmas Eve the Hammingsgate police received a number of calls regarding the safety of Edward and Agatha Ribbentrop. When the police arrived they found Rupert Ribbentrop, their son, hiding in a cupboard, following a robbery gone wrong. As the police searched the premesis they found a maid lying injured and barely breathing at a smashed window. She later died in hospital. The 10 year old son has been sent to live with his Uncle, Second Lord of the Admiralty Ferguson Ribbentrop. The ₳35 Million Estate will be kept until the property ownership age of 18.
• WENDIGO MINING BOUGHT BY SILVERSTEEN CORP. The extraction giant Wendigo Mining has been bought by SILVERSTEEN holdings for 13.5 Billion Auraids. The move comes just days after the mining tycoon Rick Wendigo was forced to pay 3.5 billion after a divorce with Actress Jennifer Stevensen, star of Wendover Down and The Way. Following the divorce Mr Wendigo spent frivolously on houses in Nova Marina and Yachts in the Mediargic. The Investment Corporation SILVERSTEEN holdings says that “This is a great opportunity for Silversteen to expand into the Recourse sector”
• CBI TERMINAL 2 FIRE LEAVES 1 DEAD AND 50,000 PEOPLE DELEYED. On Thursday human error caused a fire to break out in the baggage handling department which quickly spread around the terminal. 5 Flights were currently at the terminal with hundreds inside and around 5 gallons of jet fuel. Thankfully the fire did not effect the fuel. As the fire spread to the duty free shopping centre one person got trapped in the Book Store where they later died due to smoke inhalation. The fire has left the terminal out of use at peak times

HAPPY FORMATION DAY!

On December 31st,1501, following the ten years war, the two kingdoms unified a Charleston Castle. Throughout the day parades have taken place across the nation, with 10,000 military service men and women in Bartholomew Plaza, and a flyby of 90% of the RPAF fleet over the south coast cities, whilst the navy mostly conducted training excercisizes in the leverne islands. The day also contains a ceremony performed by most of the nobles of the nations, they are all booked into the Elevoir Ferguson on the the small Leverne Island, and hold special celebrations and traditional dances. Millions held parties as the celebration coincided with the new year.
