This is the public outlet of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and as such the person who will be reviewing most of the dealings will be the most honorable Foreign Minister, Agalia Sobot, Otenia Valley 7, 8530 Trebzon. The ministry asks for all letters to be addressed accordingly.

On special request, letters can also be forwarded to other ministers, such as the Minister of Defence, or even the Grand Duke himself, yet such will only be permitted in special cases that the Foreign Minister deems his involvement is indeed required.

Mission Statement:

The Grand Duchy extends full diplomatic amnesty to foreign envoys and other diplomatic staff, with the exception of following charges:

• (Attempted) Acts of Terrorism
• Entering of Quarantined Zones
• Refusal to Follow Orders by the Royal Elite Force

It expects similar treatment by all other nations with an interest in establishing diplomatic ties, yet specifics and exceptions can be discussed. Diplomatic Staff may be accompanied by armed security staff, yet they must first be registered in the Ministry of Safety and will be expelled if found guilty of handing weapons to unauthorized personnel. Karillian diplomatic staff will follow the laws and customs of the nation they operate in.

Most wise President Polo,
as you might have heard already, three known criminals, two men and one woman (names omitted for their own safety), have been involved in a standoff with the police for multiple hours. They have sought shelter in a Flesian temple which we are not allowed to enter without the permission of the local priest, who has protected them due to their religious nature.

Only mere minutes ago, the talks with the Flesian High Priest failed, who could have ordered the priest to hand over the criminals, yet instead decided to back the local priest's decision. The last remaining non-violent option is to extradite them to a neutral country since they relayed to the police that they are scared of mistreatment and an unjust trial in Karillia, yet would surrender if ensured safe passage to an international court. 

Due to your great country's renowned international work and consistent practice of impartialness, you are our last hope to resolve this matter peacefully: We hope to be able to extradite the criminals to your country where they can face a neutral court. Both I and my nation have faith in you being able to give them their deserved trial, and impose a just punishment for their crimes.

If you would agree to my proposal, a nearby airfield would be ready for them to be extradited in a helicopter or airplane.

Subject: Extradition of known criminals

Gran Duque,

Mauridiviah is more than willing to host the trial of these individuals on our soil. Although we do not approve of the fusion of state and government in Karillia, we understand that the agreement helps maintain the peace, and that breaking it would be detrimental for the people of Karillia.

Thus, we are willing to try these individuals on our soil. We are not however willing to impose punishment upon these individuals if they are to be found innocent, and we will expect Karillia to take on the burden of carrying on the sentences of these individuals if they are to be found guilty.

We have one question however: will these individuals be tried using Karillian laws or Mauridivian ones? The Attorney General of Mauridiviah says that the laws and procedures of the justice system as it relates to this crime are similar but not identical, so trying them under Mauridivian law might not lead to a satifactory action for Karillia.

Once this information has been communicated to us, we can begin the procedures to extradite and try these individuals, and lead to the best outcome for everyone.
