Hey there @Sayf I like the cultural idea of your nation, it certainly would make things more interesting around our regional area and always good to have more neighbors.

However I do have one small concern that being your quite large starting GDP from your factbook off the bat. For that geographic region that would put you past even Iverica in terms of economic power and make your country a regional powerhouse especially with your population size. Is the Sayf economy built heavily off of oil products?

Definitely interested in learning more about your country though, your location could set off a bunch of interesting RPs.

Hello there @Sayf. Thank you for your patience.

  • Factbook. Interesting setup. Certainly as complete as other applications I've processed;
  • Newsroom. Somewhat lacking actual story. Have a look at the advice for improving this in #3 of http://www.europans.com/wiki/worldbuilding/ Do you have time to improve upon this? That would make this application valid, and you'll be added.
  • Location. Combining the Arab culture with the Mediterranean and/or desert climate would either in East-Aurelia near @Shffahkia, or Alharu in the desert between @Fulgistan and @Kaitaine.

I've expanded upon my news articles to give them more depth and story,

and I really do want to be on that peninsula and I ultimately prefer to be in a Mediterranean climate with a coast than landlocked.

  I also think that it would be interesting if I could say that i was what remains of the empire that GS said ruled him.

I've decreased my GDP substantially, Sayf does export a lot of oil, but there's also other large industries such as manufacturing in Sayf as well.

Alright, just keep in mind that you will be culturally isolated. And the climate will be more temperate than desert. Compare it to RL Crimea.

About the peninsula you shared. I'd plop down some oil or gas fields in that gulf to the east of the peninsula. Would you be happy with everything to the right of those mountains? That gives approximately the same size as @Aluxia and @The Eurofuhrer, with room to grow westward.

If this is something you can agree with, I'll add you in the next update.

PS: where exactly would you want your capital city to be located?

I believe @Orioni meant the right side of the mountains, that being something like this:

Edit: The borders I put there are just random. Point is that it's to the right of the mountains ;)

      Culture: Much like India, China and the Indo-Chinese sphere, there are many different cultures but if I had to give an idea of the overarching culture it would be basically be a fusion of India's and China's. It's embedded with religion, philosophy, spirituality, the arts and sports.
      Climate: Indo-Chinese.
      Tropical monsoon pretty much across all of the central to South of the nation with a arid warm/hot steppe running down the middle of the nation. tropical rainforest like area down the coast of the central west to South. In the North it would become more subtropical and humid and slowly becoming mountainous as it gets even further North to where it would just be montane, like Jammu and Kashmir. Its hard to explain so I would be happy to elaborate more into detail with someone if need be.
