Location history: Settled by people from the area around Adaptus a long time ago. More modern Variotan settlers have established themselves in parts of the country.

Now since that is out of the way--some general comments:

• I'm seeing good well-written news posts, with 4 out of the 3 required. Excellent
• I do think the starter factbook is sufficient and gives a wealth of usable RPable fluff (always good).
  • Nitpicking, I'd say that perhaps make definite plans on how Limonaia is related to the ethnic groups and (still being fleshed out) common history of certain people--i.e: What event lead to your exodus/expedition from Europa? How were the interactions with Variota? Were there wars or did you assimilate them (or them, you) peacefully?
  • *I won't count this against your application, but this should be a something you can take your time to build well with other members of the community (I acknowledge that you have already started considering this based on our related discussion on Discord and on your "Location History"--but just putting it out there for the record).

Getting down to the cartography:

Being Italian, you're obviously a first in the New World territories. While putting you in the Midcontinental Seas area (Sakspati, Verde, Ygros) would make sense given the whole Mediterranean culture thing, this doesn't necessarily have to follow. If you don't like any of the given spots, we could try to find you a place in East Argis or East Alharu since it is a fair bit closer to Adaptus (settlers may after all just choose the closest fertile new continent they land on) 

But let's go for that optimal "Mediterranean" feel before anything else.

Option A: You've got a warm climate, a long stretch of coast that probably doesn't get too stormy, bit of mountain that you wanted, and some natural borders. The river valley could also become a possible expansion target, turning you into the proud owner of twin lakes (sounds like a tourist trap already).

Option B: Sicily!... or something. While you infer being part of a larger continent, I believe this spot can also be considered. It's got the mountain you want while also being literally surrounded by a coastline (well you did say you wanted a coast right? Go hard, little man) the Annex "b" there could be possible to claim too seeing how small the main island is. Obviously, this has to be talked out before we nail you down to be a three island man.

Option C: Mountains, coast, Argis--everything you want. Good trade position, and great room to cock block any potential encroaching expansion with a natural mountain wall at the base of the err... sack. You can lock down this area quite easily to expand at your leisure... Might be more than a pair of jewels in that spot too ;).

Suprisingly fond of option A, however I'm afraid it could be a bit too close to Monvisret and close him off from expanding. So If I end up with that location I'd have to discuss it with him.

Option B is also appealing, allthough I had depicted being on the mainland and getting an island later.

Option C is the closer to where I had originally envisioned to be, I love possible Lago di Garda to the north, and my only complaint about the area is the... shape

I would have no objection at all to you being positioned in spot A. I haven't submitted my claim yet, so I may end up in a different position entirely, but my preferred claim is outlined in red on the image below (ignore the blue).

If you were located at A, then my preferred borders would simply be shifted to be flush with yours, and expansion for me would be limited south-westwards. This would be a fair trade-off considering the benefits that would come RP-wise from sharing a border with another nation, and I think this outlined claim would have been overly generous anyway.

However, the other two claims, especially option B, would still encourage an interesting storyline between our two nations.

I can redraw the borders to fit both of you as neighbours with Limonaia's borders being at the start of the (brown) elevation running longitudinally to the coast. I can illustrate this later.

Here's a crude map showing possible expansion areas for Monvisret and Limonaia. Pretty much sure I'll stick with A now wherever the border ends up. Put down some place names as well for good measure.

That border looks very reasonable to me, and I have no objections. Time to start buying stock in trans-national railway and border security outsourcing firms.
