I'm Monvisret, a hard-line Military Dictatorship of Spanish culture, based on Francoist Spain, the Portuguese 'Estado Novo', and various other Latin/Hispanic authoritarian regimes. My people are devout Catholics, and the dictator, General Xavier Redondo, is a fierce anti-communist whose forces took power in a coup d'etat following the heavily contested election of a Communist government in November 1968. Whilst civil rights are almost non-existent, the economy is booming, especially the manufacturing and construction sectors, helped in no small part by loose regulation and lax labour laws. The middle and upper classes are prospering in the growing economy, while the working class are facing stagnant wages and a standard of living arguably no better than before the military coup, nearly 50 years ago. Meanwhile, the simmering civil unrest in the separatist province of Ezeiza appears ready to break out into open rebellion at any moment, while the General's advancing age raises difficult questions about Monvisret's future. 

I've only ever done forum-based regional RP before, so this is a totally new experience to me. I'm going to write up a Factbook and some news releases over the coming days, still creating the backstory as I go (there's still many basic details I haven't decided on yet - am I a Kingdom with Dictator as Regent like Franco's Spain, or a Republic? I'll have to find out!).

Nice to see some other nations with the same idea, Mauridiviah! Discord sounds very helpful, I'll sign up to it now. And yes, it would be a Republic in-name-only of course.
