The Naked Sun is a tabloid newspaper founded in the city of Asimov in the southwestern Sunset Sea Islands. Its first edition was published on September 15th, 1964 and has been known for short but frequent news updates for the SSI. Usually, it covers the topics most bigger news outlets of the Sunset Sea Islands exclude from their main pages or broadcasts, but The Naked Sun still manages to turn second-rate news into the topics the ladies on state welfare the next flat over will be talking about all day tomorrow!

Identical Islands and Ancient Aliens?!

UFOlogists and spiritualists around the world rejoiced today after a stunning discovery was made: two major polar islands have exactly the same shape. After a student noticed that an island in the eastern Argic Ocean and the southern Oriental Ocean have exactly the same area and footprint, only flipped vertically and horizontally once, all sorts of conspiracies popped up overnight.

The story that gained most attention online states that our planet was specially engineered by a higher being that sort of copy/pasted landmasses around and overlooked this minor detail or left it in consciously for us to notice it. Others speculate that long ago aliens landed in climatic zones suitable for their biology which is the reason for the placement of the islands, which are only overgrown spaceships according to the theory. Followers of both theories since began flocking to these islands to either pray to suspected higher beings or to conduct UFO summoning rituals.

Geologists, however, argue that both polar islands were probably formed by similar geological processes in a similar distance from the equator which resulted in a similar shape. Furthermore, they state that the simplest explanation for a question is the most probable.

But can there really be that big of a coincidence? Couldn't these "experts" be just agents of deities or aliens in disguise, trying to conceal their identity? Maybe we have been protected or controlled by otherworldly powers for millennia? How far have they assimilated into our society? Who can say that our leaders are not aliens wearing human skins?

The NAKED SUN is sure that sooner or later the truth will see the light of day. Regardless of the reason for this extraordinary phenomenon, it sure is interesting. We will keep a watchful eye on any further developments.

Cultural appropriation scandal rocks EurthVision

@Prymontian superstar, Foolish Bandit, has been accused of appropriating @Andallan culture for wearing an Andallan shirt whilst performing his hit "You & I" at EurthVision. As the resulting social media war continues to escalate to global dimensions, Sunset Sea Islandian Wittier user @FoolishFangirl2004 pointed out that the shirt in question had been purchased by Foolish Bandit during his holidays in the Utopia Resort City in the Sunset Sea Islands last month. Sunset Sea Islandian social media warriors have taken their sides in the online conflict and justify their viewpoint with all might. Meanwhile, user @SHR🔒 noticed a small detail on the shirt that reveals it to be counterfeit ware. This adds another layer to the scandal, as the Andallan manufacturer registered an increase in sold shirts following the debate. The Sunset Sea Islandian Customs office began investigating illegal trade with counterfeit items in URS.

No matter what side of the debate will win in the end, and we honestly don't expect any winner to emerge, as most social media debates fade away after a week or so, one thing is sure: listening to "You & I" is a better past-time activity than arguing about cultural appropriation online.
