Proposed observer status

Orioni

Recommended Posts

From: Anna Hackney, EOS representative from Orioni
TO: fellow members of EOS, particularly @Miiros

Dear allies,

It has come to our attention that the Entente of Oriental States seems to exclude many a nation within our sphere of influence.

It would seem prudent to extend the reach of our capabilities by offering observer status (and potential future membership) to those nations that would benefit from our mutual defence pact.

The representative from Orioni proposed the motion to approach the following active non-members:

We yield to the floor for arguments and discussion.

(OOC: Please keep in mind this is an internal EOS affair. You will be able to interact once a formal invitation has been extended.)

To EOS representative Anna Hackney of Orioni

From the President of the Magnean Confederation

We thank you for your kind consideration, and are humbled by this offering of observer status in the influential Entente of Oriental States. Your proposal has been taken into consideration during the most recent confederal debate in December 2017. While there were some respectable opinions on preserving the Magnean neutrality, the general consensus is clear and positive. Leadership of the confederation firmly believes that an observership will not compromise our international reputation as neutral nation. We therefore accept your kind invitation.

As an observer, Magnaeus can contribute expert knowledge to the Entente, particularly in the area of climate change research. The Antargic plans of EOS clearly promote the environmental, economic and social aspects of sustainable development in Antargis. Our participation in this organisation shows enormous economic potential and a growing geopolitical weight for the Magnean Confederation. The results of this cooperation can benefit all inhabitants of our planet, who are directly affected by climate change.

To further officialize our observership, the Magnean government is looking forward to discussing the terms of this agreement.

Signed,

Sophie Gerber

From: Prime Minister Theresa Tumbleweed of the Radiant Republic of the Sunset Sea Islands
To: Anna Hackney, EOS representative from Orioni

The Entente of Oriental States has been a shining example of international cooperation and political power which the Sunset Sea Islands admired for years. We bear our heads high, our chests filled with pride that the most powerful supranational entity of the world recognises our global presence and invites us to sit closer around the fire of its bright light of peace and prosperity, instead of yearningly looking at it from afar.

By being granted an observer title at the EOS, we, the Radiant Republic of the Sunset Sea Islands, can learn from the leaders of our world and implement the new knowledge in the organisations we take part in completely, namely the ISTC and ATARA. With three out of four member states of the ISTC being observers of the EOS, we expect our small association to prosper more and more from this point onwards, as we can learn from our seniors, mentors and role models.

With this strengthened political, ideological and societal exchange between the member states of the EOS and its new observer states, all parties will have something to learn.

With utmost pleasure and gratitude,

Dearest,

The Kingdom of Cristina considers this opportunity to act as Observer Member of the Entente of Eastern States with great positivity. We are convinced that there is much we can offer to EOS, aiming to accelerate economic growth, social progress, and sociocultural evolution of the participant nations, alongside the protection of regional stability and the provision of a mechanism for member countries to resolve differences peacefully. Consequently, our association will bring great benefits to all people worldwide.

The participation of the Free Port of Cristina with Observer Status in the EOS also means for us another great step towards the utmost international recognition of our beloved country as a sovereign nation and the reaffirmation of our position among the nations of the planet.

We look forward to the official recognition of our membership and will soon send the application form of our proposed delegate to EOS.

Finally, we thank you for having extended the hand of friendship. May good health and wealth, peace and prosperity bestow upon you and your family!

Sincerely yours,
Adriana Galini Monadic

Your answer to the previous proposal has been received most positively within the Entente. For many years it has been the goal to bring peace to both sides of the Oriental Ocean. At least, it seems this is almost becoming possible. We certainly understand and respect that such a bill needs to pass through the Kipanese national assembly. With the recent holiday recess, this is expected to take some time. The same can be said for our own organisation. We expect to resume our deliberations again shortly, on January 15th.

Regarding your request for clarification on further obligations, we have included a copy of the Charter of the Entente of Oriental States. The rights and duties of observer states are explained under §5.

Truest representatives,

The Abode of Love & Passion, The United Holy Communal-Republics of Safiloa announces their intention to apply as a full-fledged member-state of the Entente of Eastern States. We are eager to coordinate efforts and organize together with the other EOS member-states, to further establish at the top level, a more loquacious, a more beautiful, a more peaceful, and a fairer part of the wurld.  We aim to advance the respect of all living things and to ensure a more equal economic growth among the citizenry. Verily, we believe that our admission would bring a great many gifts to the wurld as well.

We look forward to the official recognition of our membership and will soon send the application form of our proposed delegate to EOS.

Praise be the Times that we are in for the extension of the opportunity to us and may everlasting-peace and prosperity bless our great nations!

Humbly,
The Gohulian Ministerial Directorshipspacer.png
