House Wounto scientists announces research project on a new UAV

In a public statement on it's official website, Wounto AirTechs announced the start of a research project on a polyvalent utilitary drone.

 

"As demands for drones increased in all sectors, especially agriculture, military and security, a team of researchers from multiple sectors, especially aeronautic and robotic ones, have been assembled to work on a new generation of drones with modular parts that would be able to handle various tasks.

Even if research and testing will take some consirable amounts of ressources and time, we are confident that UAVs are the future and that they will permit increased efficiency wherever they're utilized."

 

Emperor Adrian Colegard ,who is very opposed to autonomous AI, made a public statement a few hours after the announcement:

"I have seen some people saying that I am opposed to these kind of technological advancements. Let me remind these people that as long as this new drone is not able to make decisions on it's own I won't be opposed to it. I also remind all the people that plan on using this drone that giving them autonomy, even partly, is very dangerous as these are not sentient and thus cannot make rational decisions..."

Famous astriedanian communist arrested

Yesterday at 7pm, 5 soldiers from the Imperial Guard raided the house of Alan Dera, a famous communist and member of the Astriedanian Left Union. A few minutes after the raid ended, His majesty the emperor Adrian Colegard made a short public appearance where he claimed to have "arrested one of the most dangerous activists in Astriedan". Later, documents were revealed by the Imperial Internal Intelligence Bureau that revealed "potential threats to established order" inside the Astriedanian Left Union members and thus called for a "preemptive strike in order to ensure the stability and security of Astriedan".

 

The Astriedanian Left Union quickly spoke up against this move, calling it a "shameless act of violence led by political discrimination". The ALU also announced multiple demonstrations for the release of Alan Dera and the normalization of non-feudalist ideologies.

Special International Broadcast

The ANA intro music plays, followed by a broadcast of the Emperor Syra Aïl III on his throne in the Aïl Palace. After a few seconds of silence the Emperor starts to speak in a solemn voice:

"Good morning, I am speaking to the nations and citizens of the world in the name of the United Houses of Astriedan and their loyal citizens. Many of you may have been surprised by the sudden disparition of Astriedan from the international scene a few months ago. A disparition even more surprising as our country was actively taking part in international treaties such as ATARA and international trade.

However, this disparition was a deliberate choice that had to be taken. Under my order, Astriedan was closed off, communication with the outside were cut off and only few ships were allowed to enter our territorial waters. This was a necessity to protect Astriedan from a dangerous ennemy: traitors.

Following the Red Crisis, I formed a secret group of loyal officers from the military and intelligence services dedicated to investigate on all possible corrupted and/or traitorous individuals in the administration and the defense forces. However, what we discovered was of an unprecedented scale. A gigantic network ran by smaller nobles with the only purpose of preparing a coup to destroy the imperial institutions and go back to the pre-imperial house system.

In the face of another crisis, I had no choice but to apply emergency measures. While Astriedan was cut off from the world to avoid any tentative of calling for help or to flee the country, a purge was conducted, eliminating almost all the leaders of the traitorous network and a good part of their subordinates. The purge still continue to this day but the imminent danger of a coup has been averted.

I now announce the return of Astriedan in international affairs and the creation of the Imperial Corruption Overwatch Bureau (ICOB) as a part of the High Bureau of Security (HBS).

"-Good morning, in the news today the recent announcements made by His Majesty the Emperor Syra Aïl III concerning the recent deal between @Sunset Sea Islands and @Astriedan to install the high tech surveillance system "Synapse" in our country. This continue His Majesty's work to make our country safer trough surveillance. While some human rights organizations have called the Synapse system an "obvious violation of privacy" and "a useless system", the legislator of the Imperial Internal Security Bureau said he was "very happy about this new system", claiming that it will "not leave a bit of privacy to any potential dangerous person.

Crowd movement and movement patterns, medical and criminal databases about every astriedanian, and more, this new system will definitely change astriedanian surveillance. The Emperor did not, however, gave the price at which he bought the Synapse system.

 

In other news, the Imperial Army and the Imperial Guard has announced the deployment of the vehicles bought from @Iverica a few months ago. The price of the transaction was still not declared to the public but the Imperial Army Public Relations Office declared that "a modernization of the equipment was necessary".

 

Finally, the Noble Houses Eennso and Atria have announced that great change was to come. We still don't know what this change will be about but our best political analysts are currently trying to make predictions.
