Stoned Smurfs
good job my main man Phil. here's another that will make your brain hurt. Â You are in a room with 2 doors leading out. Behind 1 door is a coffer overflowing with jewels and gold, along with an exit. Behind the other door is an enormous, hungry lion that will pounce on anyone opening the door. You do not know which door leads to the treasure and exit, and which door leads to the lion. In the room you are in are 2 individuals. The first is a knight, who always tells the truth, and a knave, who always lies. Both of these individuals know what is behind each door. You do not know which individual is the knight, or which one is the knave. You may ask one of the individuals exactly 1 question. What should you ask in order to be certain that you will open the door with the coffer behind it, instead of the hungry lion? Â Â enjoy ~Pot~ Link to comment
Orioni
Erhm  Ask the knight: Will the knave get eaten if I push him through door #1? >> No = gold. or Ask the knave: Will you be eaten if I push you through door #1? >> Yes + lie = gold  ..but I'm just guessing here.. Link to comment
Stoned Smurfs
Erhm  Ask the knight: Will the knave get eaten if I push him through door #1? >> No = gold. or Ask the knave: Will you be eaten if I push you through door #1? >> Yes + lie = gold  ..but I'm just guessing here.. close but remember you dont know which is the knight and which is the knave. Paranoid schizo
Beat one of 'em to death and ask the other one if he's feelin' lucky. Â Â Â OR: Ask either individual to open one door. Therefore, you're not in danger and will be able to find out what's where. Link to comment
Stoned Smurfs
love that anwser PS! but the anwser is, you ask one of the individuals what the other one would say if you asked him which door is holding back the hungry lion. just think about it. took me a sec. Â Â Â You've been asked to buy the snacks for the stoner party and you've been given $100 to buy 100 snacks. Donuts cost 56c, chocolate eclairs cost $2.26 and iced buns cost 92c. Phil VII
yes but, well, lets say the hungry lion is behind the left door  ask 'what would the other guy say if i asked him which door is the lion behind'  the knave would say the right door, as he has to lie, i.e. that the knight always tells the truth the knight would say the right door as he has to tell the truth, i.e. that the knave would lie Link to comment
