Suverina
In the good old days we used to have rules in this forum, we also had moderators and admins that enforced them. Nowadays that isn't so. We seem to have fallen into anarchy. In these times of Anarchy the admins seems to be arbitrarily changing the rules to their every whim. We had 4 map plots as initial rules. We then changed it to 5. The rules officially remain unchanged but sometime, somewhere, the admins arbitrarily seemed to decide that admins may have as many plots as they wish. With admins claiming between 7 and 10 plots each. In the good old days when we changed the rules we had open discussions where we democratically decided things. We didn't do stuff behind close doors. All such discussions should take place in the forum, openly for all to see. That's why I want an end to this anarchy and I don't like to see the admins arbitrarily changing the rules, and certainly not behind locked doors. I'm all for reforming the rules of the map. But it should be done openly. We had a great level of democracy in this region, if there's no trace left of it and the administrators dicatorship is all there is now I'm not certain this is the place where I want to be. Now I really want to be here and RP because I think it's very fun and exciting, but in such a climate it's not that fun anymore. So please explain to me if there actually are any new rules, where I can find them, where it was discussed and where it was decided or if everything was arbitrarily decided behind locked doors. And please straighten things out for me, as I'm rather concerned. "Land shall be built with rules" - as it says in one of the oldest document of Swedish law (14th century). Link to comment
Haruspex
Actually it's pretty simple. Tag and I havent made any land claims in all the time we've been here. The current land grab that I am doing for one, is of the empty vassal states of the Occidental. We agreed when the world as it was, was dead and empty save for a few powers that be, of which neither of you were active. Furthermore, it was decided that it would be a long term event role-played out to follow the guidelines as it were. Link to comment
Jilderen
I'll leave this to the senior members to be concluded. I'll just see the results. Link to comment

You should have had that discussion here in the forum. It doesn't matter if me and Jilderen weren't active, there were still other nations in Europa even if they aren't active here. And even if you, Voc and Tag were the only nations in Europa the matter should have been discussed and decided here in the forum. Also doesn't matter if there was only 3 active nations at the time, you need to change the rules properly so that if new people become active they will see them. You just can't arbitrarily divide the sandbox between three kids in case that other kids might want to join as well. I'm not against changing the rules of the map, but the fact is that the rules remain unchanged. Period. There has been no discussion, no voting and no decision. Therefore the rule of 5 plots apply until the rules have been changed. It's logical to change the rules to allow larger nations, but still it means that the rules have to be changed. Link to comment
Haruspex
I can live with five, whatever. It's not worth getting heated on ancient rules grave dug by someone wanting to carry a torch and banner pride parade. Have at. Link to comment
Vocenae
THE OLD DAYS ARE DEAD AND THE OLD WAYS OF DOING THINGS DIED WITH THEM. Right now, worry about finishing the damn RP. No one will take those plots. No one will snipe them out from under you. Worry about completing the storyline and not get bogged down under worrying over every little damn detail. And frankly, since there were so few of us left, we had every right to discuss things wherever we want, however we want. We are the admins, we were the only ones left, you have absolutely no right to judge us for actions that are so far in the past that they are ancient history on the Internet. Especially when the region was very nearly dead. Not to mention you haven't been involved with this region in any real capacity until now, and again, you don't have any right to judge our decisions when you chose not to be a part of them when they were made. This is not a dictatorship, this is not some evil conspiracy, this is the admins, mainly myself who fought to keep not only the forum, but the entire region alive for two years before Tagmatium came back to help. Everyone else wanted to lock both the forum and the region itself down and move on to other things. Oh, and by the way, check the thread "Nation Removal & Map Plots', that holds the open discussion about map plot increases that you think happened behind closed doors. I am so goddamned tired of being the villain because people just can't accept reality, but then again, "You either die and hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain". Guess that holds just as true on the Internet as it does in real life, no matter how wrongly it's being used by you in this instance. Complete your RP first, deal with the little finer details after it's done, and drop the savior complex. You don't get to come back after being gone for years and criticize the things that were done while you chose not to be a part of this region. Link to comment
