Alianessia Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 Greetings, fellow inhabitants of the grand continent of Europa. The Most Serene Republic of Alianessia, headed by our most revered Coordinator Cinnea Enharet, has recently been airlifted back to this most prosperous region. Previously located on the continent of Alianessia, difficulties with the a lack of trade options prompted the move. While Her Excellence and all of us in the Most Serene Republic hold a special place in our hearts for the continent which had been our home for so long, we felt a change would be good. Her Excellence would like to remind all that the decision to move was made only after an unanimous vote, reflecting the desire of each citizen to promote civil rights and a democratic process. It is my honor to share some details of the Alianessia way of life. Rather than carry around strips of paper or pieces of metal with heads of past leaders stamped on them, our currency is the voucher of deeds. Our market is fluid and needs based. For instance, my neighbor Cordelina Acerima recently was in need of repairs to her garage roof. We discussed this situation and decided that in exchange for two vouchers from Cordelina, one offering a home cooked meal and the other offering two hours of yard work, I would make the repair. This was exceptionally valuable to me, as I dislike raking. I went to the commerce center, where a supply center is located, filled out a voucher offering the government one hour of my time, and received the items I would need for the repair. Simple, effective, and everyone wins. Of course, currency from other nations sneaks into the country every so often, which our citizens use ot make purchases off the Internet. We frown upon that sort of thing, but it is a free country. We look forward to a happy existence on Europa. ~Larissan Tu Loc, Public Relations Officer
Europa Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 On behalf of our region I'ld like to wish you happy existence in Europa. Welcome!

Alianessia Posted December 14, 2004 Author Posted December 14, 2004 As the Coordinator of The Most Serene Republic of Alianessia, it is my duty, and my great honor, to thank you for your quick kind words of greeting. The Daily Elections and Survey Officer has informed me just this morning that 96% of our citizens are quite pleased with the region. Cordially, Cinnea Enharet
Alianessia Posted December 14, 2004 Author Posted December 14, 2004 Our citizens seem to take a great deal of pride in dissenting. I shall have to ask the D.E. & S. officer what the exact approval rating of the region was this morning, but I believe it was in the high 80s, which is excellent. Of course, Lillia du Low, a prominent dissenter, was very vocal about the recent delegate upset, but I have every confidence in the continued approval of my fellow Alianessians for this region. While I am taking the time to reply, let me also mention two exciting proposals recently made by out nation for the UN. Zand Luts, the UN Ambassador, was working on a draft of a proposal when it was brought to his attention that there are several resolutions in effect, passed before we joined the UN, that we do not support due to their lack of respect for personal freedom. Proposals were filed early this afternoon calling for a repeal of resolution #5 "DVD Region Removal" and a repeal of resolution #15 "Preserving Historic Sites." The Most Serene Republic of Alianessia encourages the production and sale of universal coding for DVD and other technologies, and we take pride in our beautiful historical landmarks, such as the Ressia Theater and the Nevets Enharet Mansion, built by my great-great grandfather in 1843. However, we feel that it is not the place of the UN to require every member nation to feel the same way. This has spurred a bit of debate over what exactly is the role of the UN. Did you know the UN does not even have a charter outlining it's boundries? ~ Cinnea Enharet, Coordinator of The Most Serene Republic of Alianessia
Kaisastan Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Kaisastan welcomes you to Europa, Hope you enjoy it.

It Helps to give us a little more say in what?s going on.
Alianessia Posted December 17, 2004 Author Posted December 17, 2004 I am happy to report that in this morning's D.E. & S. the people of The Most Serene Republic of Alianessia voted with a 86% majority to endorse Orioni 2. The people chose to hesitate for a brief time after we moved to this region because of the upset in delegation that occured at the same time as our move. After the air cleared, so to speak, there was concern among our people because the new nation, previously a military nation to our understanding, seemed to take a negative approach to civil rights and political freedom. However, our lovely leader, Coordinator Cinnea Enharet, read the message from Lord John to the people during the pre-D.E.& S. radio, television, and live web broadcast, and obviously the people took those words to heart. I would like to add that The Most Serene Republic of Alianessia has been a member of the UN from the very beginning of Coordinator Enharet's time as leader, and anticipates remaining a member of the UN for the foreseeable future. Thank you. ~ Cordelina Acerima, D.E.&S Officer

We would like to inform Cordelina Acerima of the D.E.&S. that Orioni 2 is working very hard round the clock to reform the nation and became like the nation that Orioni once was. We still deeply mourn the passing of our beloved sisternation, but the nation most not stand still. We understand that the initial confrontation with Orioni 2 may have been a hard one for some nations, but we can assure you that we of Orioni 2 will do our utmost best to go forward with the political agenda that the former nation of Orioni left behind.
Paranoid schizo Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 I'm a bit late, but, well, Hi anyway!!
