Akiiryu
OOC: can you add an ooc thread fo this. Akiiryu does have a space programme in the contemporary setting. Although it is very secretive now, I can see it having, in the future, become much more open with its allies as the technology becomes much more common. BTW are you implying some kind of Europan Federation of something? Link to comment
Emakera
OOC: through the rays of the sun and the air around them Eolic energy? That's extremely unreliable... you could also add another forms of energy, like those hidro-eletric things that relies on the tides, geotermic energy if your country has geysers, and even hidroelectric dams, although some may argue that they're harmful. Emakera could be in on this one, since it's counterpart uses lots of alcohol as fuel, and since Emakera's OOC motto is "How Brazil should be", it could be pretty advanced in alternative fuels IC, specially in the IC future like this. How's that? And an OOC thread would be fine too. Link to comment
Mongol-Swedes
Europan Federation, yeah...it's the sensible approach to band together when the world around you burns...or each nation could follow the Bush/Cheney model and start nuking countries left and right to make sure you're the only ones left alive to consume what little remains of the nonrenewable resources... it's unreliable by today's standards because nobody wants to invest in them, especially when the present energy companies are driving the lobbyist campaign to make up false research that says alternative energies won't work. "I swear we're doing this for freedom everywhere!" Link to comment
Tagmatium Rules
I ain't going to take part in this one - science fiction ain't really my cup of tea... Although I must say that one of the Imperial Government's largest expenditures is on the environment. Link to comment
Emakera
Mind you, solar energy is t3h s3x. Small-scale solar power helped us to get past an energy crisis; some people just started buying some planks/whatever of it and placed it on their rooftops. It helped lots of people to make it through these times. It's something that needs more funding and investment. But wind power is stupid. Visually polluting and noisy, although this is still better than air pollution... but the worst part: too expensive for too little power. It needs lots of wind all the time to work properly. Mongol-Swedes
Or better semiconductors... Link to comment
Tamurin
Yes, me!! Tamurinian survivors could form some sort of space-based humans living on space stations, space ships and giant generation ships. A counterpart for the eco-centered tribes, but still friends. Link to comment
Miiros
This sounds interesting. Miirosi could have been reduced to being space pirates and scavengers, trying to piece together the shattered remains of a lost culture. Maybe they could stripmine other worlds in order to sustain a new Free City somewhere? It would make for a good villain role I think, however, it would conflict with Miiros' historic reverence for nature. Link to comment
Adaptus
By this time Adaptus would be a massive space power, probably. Leaveing Europa in the late colnonisation of space era. The only thing remaining is a small plot of land where Adaptus is today. Perhapse a major force of Adaptons could come back to Europa to help some nations move out of Europa, and establish their own space colonies. Link to comment
Vocenae
I'm in, but don't have the time to say anything other than that. Link to comment
