Music is the power of words to a catchy tune/beat.

Rediscovered Queen with the song "Don't Stop Me Now".

Also listening to alot of the Cockney Rejects, Anti Flag, Black Flag, Billy Talent, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, Supertramp, and Bob Marley, with a few wildcard tunes thrown in here and there.

Lately?

Angra, Misfits, Dead Kennedys, Camel, Led Zeppelin, Gentle Giant, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest. Since I don't have broadband anymore, it gets hard to get new songs... and to the "MEEEEN URE DOING SOMETHING ILEGAL PIRACY" and the like, I'm still not entitled to get a job, since I'm still 15, and thus, no originals. Besides, I need to know what I'm going to buy before wasting what's going to be about 1/10 of my salary (20 reais for a record, and my almost-promised job'd give around 200 reais per month or less).

Now me and my twin have both gone to Uni, I'm now missing half of what was basically our shared music collection, his portion including the Slackers, Sublime and a few other ones which, at this point in time, escape my memory.

Me, I mainly listen to the Clash, Rancid (and the Transplants and Lars Fredrickson and the Bastards, two side projects of Rancid members), Pennywise, Dead Kennedies, Stiff Little Fingers and Sham69. I need to purchase a few more CDs soon, as I'm dispairing of my currently rather limited collection, ie I'm listening to the same CDs over and over again.

And, MS, in reference to your post in your OOC thread (didn't want to go off topic too much)

I figured it would, Tag. I literally pulled that record out of the scrap heap yesterday (coincidentally, I had heard about somebody getting arrested in a taxi enroute to an airport for singing that tune).

Bloody make it my business to sing London Calling more often. How can that tune be deemed so offensive?

I also heard about a Clash tribute band's member getting nicked when he sent the lyrics for Tommy Gun to another member who had forgotten them.

ou preferes calar, deixa-me adivinhar

n?o digas que o louco sou eu

se for tanto melhor

amor sei-te de cor

sei porque becos te escondes,

sei ao pormenor o teu melhor e o pior

sei de ti mais do que queria

numa palavra diria

sei-te de cor.

sei cada capricho teu e o que n?o dizes

ou preferes calar deixa-me adivinhar

n?o digas que o louco sou eu

se for tanto melhor

amor sei-te de cor

sei de cor

cada tra?o do teu rosto, do teu olhar

cada sombra da tua voz e cada sil?ncio,

cada gesto que tu fa?as

meu amor sei-te de cor

The letter of this song speaks of Love, of the deep knowledge that a

man has of loved its.

Translation:

I know by heart each trace of your face, of your look each shade of

your voice and each silence, each gesture that you make, my love I

know you by heart

I know each whim yours and what you do not say or you prefer to

be silent, it leaves to guess me you do not say that the insane person

I am if I will be in such a way better love I know you by heart

I know because alleys you hide yourself, I know to the detail

yours better and worse I know of you more of the one than it wanted in

a word would say I know you by heart.

I know each whim yours and what you do not say or you prefer to be

silent it leaves to guess me you do not say that the insane person I

am if I will be in such a way better love I know you by heart

I know by heart each trace of your face, of your look each

shade of your voice and each silence, each gesture that you make my

love I know youby heart

I've been listening to Within Temptation, Nightwish, and Kamelot a lot and I've been liking some songs by Evanescence lately too. I also like to listen to the stuff on OC ReMix and game and movie soundtracks aren't bad. I like the soundtrack to the musical Wicked especially, although Rent and Phantom of the Opera are also favorites. I used to listen to the Les Miserables soundtrack, the Blue Man Group and Bjork a lot as well.

Bah, OCremix is crappy in most of the time... but since you are into it, do you know about Megadriver? It's a band who makes metal versions of game songs... led by the infamous Nino "Megadriver", with his famous Sega Genesis/Megadrive shaped guitar... a must for those who like games.

MUST DOWNLOAD:

Rise From Your Grave (Altered Beast theme)

Hedgehog Metal (Sonic theme)

Hard Road (the Europa stage of Super Hang-on's theme)

Syndicate Headquarters (Streets Of Rage)

Vice City (GTA: Vice City intro song)

Mute City, Metal City (F-Zero)

The F-Zero one is my favorite from them.
