Mongol-Swedes
People seem to forget that piracy of the seas is still rampant even in the modern world, most notably off the eastern shores of Somalia. Something I would like to do would once the war in the Tribelands ends would be to roleplay something like a few rogue cells who wage their own wars on the seas against...whomever, really. Deltannia
I'd be up for this. I figure that Deltannia has it's navy around for something. I also think in the pat I mentioned sometime that this is what makes up a component of the navy. Therefore, I'd be up for both a pirate group and a naval task force, maybe intervening between the pirates in order to try and bring them to justice. Maybe we could do raids all over the world.... Miiros
Hmm, Miiros has a stranglehold on the Rosario Sea, but I'd be willing to RP some pirate factions perhaps. Link to comment
Tamurin
Sounds interesting! I'm in. Link to comment
Tagmatium Rules
I always thought that there would definately be some form of piracy in the region, especially with all these empty plots and islands, which would provide perfect bases. Such low-level happenings really haven't come into any of my RPs, as they would be sorted out by small taskforce and haven't entered much into the international events which we usually concern ourselves with. Adaptus
A new, and struggeling Adpatus could be a prime target for such pirates. Plus, we could also add a sence of land basec pirates into this, perhaps drug cartelling. Link to comment
Mongol-Swedes
Kind of like the video game Just Cause... Anywho, I think Island 0.1 would be an ideal location for a pirate base, like how the pirates of old had 'havens' on the lesser-known islands of the Carribbean. Link to comment
Miiros
Let's name it... Tortuga! =P Maybe Miirosi corporations could secretly be funneling money to the pirates to distrupt other shipping... Hmm. Link to comment
Deltannia
Yes, 0.1 is right up my alleyway. I could post a formidable naval force with little problem. Plus, the island i large enough to make it very interesting. Link to comment
Mongol-Swedes
And an opportunity for the Northern Alliance to participate in multilateral anti-terrorism, anti-piracy actions, emphasis on multilateral, as opposed to the Tribunal's "annoying unilateralism", as I think it was put. Tagmatium Rules
The High Seas Battle Fleet is based on Defnascir (0.32), although it's currently harboured in Akiiryu... So that makes no difference what so ever Tagmatium would, obviously, have a lot to say in any matter that would endanger its interests in the Kosscow and Sea of Kings. The Barrier Islands are literally the gate way to the Sun Ocean. Although how loud Tagmatium shouts really does depend on how much its shipping is disrupted. I imagine there would be a lot of military action in that area of late. Link to comment
Tamurin
Since Tamurin has no high-profile Navy, I offer my cargo ships as sacrifice for the pirates. Since my fleet will be unable to provide cover the whole time, armed cargo ships and foreign help will be needed... How does that sound? Link to comment
Mongol-Swedes
Sounds fricken awesome, actually. As far as I can see, all the bases have been covered... Rogue M-S commando cells form a band of pirates. Tamurinian shipping and whatever else is in the area gets hijacked. Tagmatine and Deltannian navies with M-S counter-terrorism support police it up. Deltannia
Sounds good, Mongol-Swedes. I also wound't mind taking on either a group of pirates or a group of shipping. To be fair and realistic, though, I'll take on a shipping group as well that will be threatened. After all, Deltannian commercial vessels would be travelling through the area all the time I would think. I'll leave the pirates to you. Link to comment
Tamurin
Allright then. Who's playing the pirates again? Link to comment

Deltannia
Are we doing this? Shall I start? I'm kind of itching for another RP. Link to comment
Mongol-Swedes
This event cannot really come into play until the Adaptus situation dies down...otherwise that means your navy will be in relative proximity to shipping lanes that affect an ongoing war, and in real-life that would raise a lot of eyebrows. Deltannia
Yes, good call. I'll come up with something else. Maybe an expedition north (north of the map.... like a polar region)..... Link to comment
Lahui
Not a bad idea, perhaps updated and localized to one's national waters (unless the piracy is part of a larger conspiracy)... Link to comment
