Orioni
http://z7.invisionfree.com/Europa/index.ph...t&eventid=45559 World Jump Day is the first global flash mob event scheduled for July 20, 2006 at 11:39.13 GMT, at which time the organization plans to have 600 million people from the western hemisphere jump simultaneously. They claim this will move the Earth out of its current orbit, and into a new one, one that will not cause global warming. More information: http://www.worldjumpday.org/ Link to comment
Orioni
World Jump Day was a hoax[1] global flash mob event scheduled for July 20, 2006 at 11:39.13 UTC, at which time the organization claimed to have 600 million people from the western hemisphere jump simultaneously. They claimed this would move the Earth out of its orbit, and into a new one, one that would not cause global warming. The site was an art installation by Torsten Lauschmann (claiming to be a Professor Hans Peter Niesward from the Institute for Gravitational Physics in Munich), and in no way serious. Still, it was probably the largest (and first?) worldwide flash mob project ever, although by including only the western hemisphere it can not claim to be truly worldwide. Link to comment
Tamurin
Plus, 600 million people jumping wouldn't change the orbit at all. Just look up "Krakatoa" on Wikipedia and read about the outbreak in 1883. This is true force - and it didn't change Earth's orbit at all. Link to comment
