CHARTER of the ENTENTE of ORIENTAL STATES

 

1. Preamble

  1. EOS is an alliance open to all peace-loving nations of Eastern Europa. (Expanded by §1C.)
  2. EOS is a peaceful alliance and does not seek to start conflicts. If you don't bother us, we won't bother you.
  3. EOS membership is open to all peace-loving nations bordering the Oriental Ocean. (2018 amendment)

2. Governing

  1. EOS members each have 1 (one) vote in the governing council.
  2. EOS members shall have no more than 7 (seven) days to vote on urgent matters.

3. Defence

  1. EOS members are included in a mutual defence pact: an attack on one EOS member will be seen as an attack on all.
  2. EOS members will work to establish joint-headquarters facilities on island 0.38, as it's location has strategic value to the Entente.
  3. EOS members will be encouraged to exchange troops with each other, to greater strengthen their defences, and to promote teamwork and cooperation between members.
  4. EOS members will undertake regional defence programs, such as, but not limited to, anti-ballistics systems.
  5. EOS members will establish a joint intelligence agency so that members can compare/share intelligence and greater security/law and order can be enjoyed by all oriental states.
  6. EOS members will protect their populations from human rights violations, mass atrocity crimes, war crimes, ethnic cleansing, genocide and crimes against humanity. This includes a defensive and proportionate commitment to address key concerns such as the prevention of genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity. (July 2018 amendment.)

4. Civilian

  1. EOS citizens members will enjoy economic benefits, such as free trade and equalised tariffs.
  2. EOS citizens shall only be subject to limited passport checking, in order to promote open borders within the shared co-prosperity sphere.
  3. EOS members are encouraged to perform joint-research, either benefiting military or civilians in nature.
  4. EOS members will work to establish a joint space program, open to all of its members. Every member can use and contribute to the program, which shall expand upon existing facilities in Tamurin and Niederoestereich.
  5. EOS members will work to improve its own humanitarian issues first, before involving itself with similar issues elsewhere.
  6. EOS members will work to establish a wildlife preserve in area 155.
  7. EOS members shall respect and join the International Red Cross of Eurth. (November 2018 amendment.)

5. Observer status

(December 2017 amendment.)

  1. EOS observer status may be granted a non-member state.
  2. EOS observer status entitles the entity to participate in the work of the EOS, though with limitations.
  3. EOS observer status includes: a right to speak at governing council meetings; serve as signatories on working documents; sign resolutions.
  4. EOS observer status excludes: proposing new resolutions; vote on resolutions; putting forward candidates.
  5. EOS observers can request full membership on the preconditions of accepting the obligations contained in the present Charter and, in the judgement of the Entente, are able and willing to carry out these obligations. The admission of any such nation to EOS membership will depend on a decision of the governing council.
