Tagmatium Rules Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 (edited) OOC: Problems may arise through multiple memberships of pacts... Is a member of the CIS/Alliance/Leage allowed to join, or would that be discouraged, in case of conflict arising between the EOS and one of the other pacts? Not that I can join, especially as the GHET lives in the Occident of the region. Tamurin Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 OOC: Well, that's really your choice. But since EOS is an oriental alliance (meaning: limited by region) and meant to keep out of international quarrel, you'd have some difficulties if you were in multiple alliances...
Orioni Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 You've got to start somewhere, don't you? We noticed most alliances have a lot of problems because they are so far away. Example 1: Tagmatium wants to send aid to Pirilao, and has to sail a long long long long way to get there. Example 2: Akiiryu sends his navy to Ide Jima, which takes forever to get there. EOS will simply avoid such problems. It's not going to be a political union, but you can see it as a superpower yes.
Vocenae Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 It also reminds me of a less restrictive version of the CIS.
Suverina Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Although they don't say they'll work for peace. But I do know Italgria a little he would be more than happy to fight some war. Don't think he'd attack anyone outright though..

Meh, there is always a LT member in the neighberhood. 4 Alliances may make things more interesting.
Haken Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 And it's nice to see Orioni on the scene again. Hilarious!
Orioni Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 And it's nice to see Orioni on the scene again. Hilarious! Those are four different images, right there. Took a while to put together, but I'm proud he doesn't look too stupid. + Andy + His hands + The Orioni logo + Background (has wandered off)
Orioni Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 ooc: hmm, this has echoes of the CPA Indeed. CPA was without a doubt the strongest alliance in the history of Europa.
Emakera Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Hell, looks like i did lose something. Am i still in the plans?
Orioni Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Yep, you are. If you don't have the time, a quick post will do. You can always edit it later, once you have more time. http://z7.invisionfree.com/Europa/index.php?showtopic=2740
Emakera Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Thanks. But as the laying old man once said, "Nothing is created- all is imitated"... *saves an Adam Sandler pic and starts to make a photoshop on it*
Tamurin Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Some info for people that came in after? The CPA was the "Central Peninsula Alliance". On the old map we had a three sub-continents: One in the north, one in the center and one in the south. At some point the powers on the central continent united in an alliance, the CPA, and I guess the members were Orioni, Great Kings, Phil IV, Vanarambaion, Tamurin and several other major powers. The CPA was as dominant as the NATO and the Warszaw Pact together... In the north, the nations felt left out and threatened, so they created the EPA (don't remember what it meant). These nations were unable to oppose the CPA effectively until Niederoesttereich and the SSSS joined in...then the odds were even. At some point the CPA and the EPA were on a brink of war... But that was a long time ago. Now new cards are dealt...
Ide Jima Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 I believe the EPA was the Europa Periphery Alliance
Italgria Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 im quite bad at speeches so dont wonder about mine
Suverina Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 OOC: No borders, free trade! Liberal sh*t is what it is!
Tamurin Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 OOC: Learn to live with it. Any more OOC-comments please here: http://z7.invisionfree.com/Europa/index.ph...opic=2741&st=15
Tamurin Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 You did well. Listen a little more to politicians on TV and you'll be as good as them. It's not that difficult. Use a gigantic language filled with phrases and blabla like Earth, mankind, peace, eternal etc. and fill in the gaps with a few truths.
Haken Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 OOC: No borders, free trade! Liberal sh*t is what it is! Your alliance has free trade too you know...
Orioni Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 I must admit I liked everyone's speeches so far. An impressive start. No for something more then words..
